If I knew there was a history of cheating on former wives,
then my opinion would be different. I think that once cheating occurs, it is more likely to be repeated in future relationships. Not saying that this is your case, but it would worry me.
My daughter was drinking heavily, she didn't know that I knew but she would
act strange and when I would try to come close to her casually, she would pull away. I waited til she fell asleep and could smell the booze on her breath.  The next day I told her I would buy lunch if she could go grab it and when she left I went in her room and found to stashed bottle of some cheap rum.  I know it sounds bad but I put some ipecac in the bottle and then waited.  I didn't put much, but it was effective. She blew chunks and blew and blew.  She thought she just got sick, but about a week later I did it again and after she got sick that time, that was the end of her drinking.  Smart girl, eh? She somehow figured out that drinking rum made her sick!  I may sound like a terrible mom, but I also don't have a drunk for daughter now either.
This may sound funny, but I knew when I didn't care enough
to even fight with him more.  It just wasn't worth the time or the energy anymore.
Well obviously I meant the divinity. I'm sorry I didn't elaborate. I figure you knew what I me

Just a thing to check on ALL of your computers
Go to Control Panel>Internet Options and click the Connections tab. Make sure there are no Dial-up connections listed on any computers in your network.

Sometimes, programs may "dial home" or you may have some function you don't know about automatically scheduled to run that might be using a dial-up connection in order to do it.

Just make sure to delete any you find there. If there are any there, you might want to check if the number is the same one you're being charged for.

A friend of mine HAD dial-up but did not delete the old dial-up setup after getting DSL and sure enough, the computer was dutifully dialing in every night.

Good luck!
Compound?
I thought the scientologists all live in their own homes; not some compound??  This is very disturbing.  I am amazed at how gullible people can be.  We know that some people are more easily brainwashed than others.  Maybe Katie is one of the more enlightened ones.  How many of our friends and family hang on to every word of their doctor, having lost the ability to think for themselves?  In my mind, that's a form of brainwashing as well.
Texas polygamist compound
what's with the ladies and the hairdos - you know those pompadours.  Anybody know?  I know there are more important things in this case, but it just strikes me.
About polygamist compound - the polygamy doesn't
I couldn't care less if consenting adults choose to live in polygamous marriages. I see these mothers in the interviews crying for their children....if it was just that they are polygamists, I would really feel sorry for them. But the issue for me is that they are sending their teenage daughters off ot marry these older men - with the first issue being that they are teenagers and the second issue being that it is not even their choice.  Personally I would never want to be in a polygamist situation, but if adults choose that, I don't care...as long as they don't all get insured and bring up my rates!! lol...but I don't think all polygamist groups marry off their teenagers like that either...and that is my problem with it.  What do you all think?  Do you care if people live polygamist lives?
polygamy doesn't bother me but the compound does
I understand that people of like minds may want to live in a close community, but when it becomes isolative I think it's dangerous. I don't have a problem with free choice. Of course the under age marriages are deplorable. I feel sorry for the women being separated from their children and even more so for the children being taken away from their parents into a different world.

The women on Larry King bothered me though, they all talked in a very monotone way, they looked gaunt, kind of robotic. Maybe it's the immediate situation they are facing and being on TV. I guess I would have liked to see a bit of anger there, some emotion, too submissive, probably the way they are with their husbands. You get the feeling they are pretty bottled up.
She was at the compound right after the play for detoxification, according to a nontabloid article.
I scanned the web and came across of articles including MSN that said she needed to go to detoxify from being a mother and working a play and all the stress that goes with it. So, right after the play, when Tom was at the GG, she was detoxifying with the scientologists. This includes some kind of ritual in which there are some kind of vitamins, saunas, etc. There are some gossip sites that say she is able to hold her hand over fire because of the scientologists, but that is based on some kind of ad campaign for fashion design she appears in right now. It could all be publicity to draw attention to this fashion ad campaign, to make us pay attention. I often think their whole marriage was a publicity stunt to help Tom in his ratings when War of the Worlds came out, and they like many people used Oprah to boost the affair. Anyway, cults are not to be fooled around with and like the poster above, I think the death of Travolta's boy had something to do with lack of parenting skills and responsibilities because of the cult beliefs. Dangerous slope when so called role models adopt lifestyles which can easily rub off on so many people. Ruse, publicity, or whatever reason, it is a shame because human lives are eventually involved. The Karma, well, that is what they have to face, if they do not act responsibility. I would not want that kind of Karma at all, personally.

mammas and wives
Hopefully he is not married to his mamma and needs no nipping.
Because men blames their wives, that's why. sm
Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, many decades ago. I was always told by him that I was not pretty enough, not sophisticated enough, not "with-it" enough, just not good enough in any way. I bought into that for years until I could no longer stand it and left. The little sucker was actually a compulsive adulterer and cheated on his next wife too, a beautiful, much younger woman. So I know what I'm saying. Once a cheat, always a cheat.
My mom believes that old wives' tale, too! - nm
.
I'm paying for all those wives and kids...
They only claim one wife as a legal wife, so the others they marry are married in the church but not on paper, so they think they are getting by with polygamy. So what happens to all those wives with children? They go to the welfare office, since they are single moms ( no marriage certificate), they are eligible for Medicaid, my taxes to pay for their children, food stamps, on and on. That is fraud and they should be ashamed of themselves, since they know exactly what they are doing... where is their religion in all this? This is scheming.....they call it "bleeding the beast", meaning the government. Of course, they do not care that it is the taxpayer's dollar, because they consider themselves better than the "outside world", since they believe they are the chosen people anyway.
It is as if some men get angry if their wives are sick or hurt (sm)
He does it every time too :(
I am watching "My Husband's Three Wives"
I'm watching TLC's "My Husband's Three Wives". I'm also steaming. The jerk (nice name for him) doesn't believe in monogamy, at least where it concerns him. I wonder if he would agree to another husband?

That explains better why you would post here. Pastor's wives are often isolated from friends. W

I didn't say her decor didn't sound great.
It's not ridiculous.

I would seriously doubt the Christianity of anyone who feels it is okay to celebrate Halloween. It is anti-God in every aspect.

You can only service 1 God and the folly of man and carnality is in direct conflict with holiness.

Thanks - I didn't realize they didn't like the smell of citrus
I have the feeling he doesnt have a UTI and he's trying to tell me something else, but I'll be taking him to the vets to be safe.
If you only knew!
I'm not a pagan, just simply educated on many different religions and other things of interest to me.
I knew when I saw what was going on,
simple. He was having wrecks and letting me know about them. His wife was deceased and I tried to get help for him and even telling him he was being taken, did not think so. Red flags flying all around- 1 lady who cared for his wife before her death, married, younger than me, all of a sudden taking interest in a 90 year old man who did not use deodorant? No way. I was out of town, bottom line after his death the person I spoke had got $60,000.00 from him, had him set up an account in her name and his social security check and other monies going directly into that account. I knew what I saw. She went to the bank the day after his death and pulled all out. I have been there.
see, I knew you all (most) would come through
for me. Sounds like a good alternative. You guys have given me great ideas.
Knew you could do it.
Didn't take long at all once your Realtor knew you meant business. Better for him, anyway.
And to think I knew all of these
guess not, have so many of those sayings and yet had never heard of this.
I wish I knew
I have one in the house now that keeps landing on my computer screen. I can't get rid of him. Even my cat is no help this evening.
They say she knew nothing - I don't see how though (nm)

That is when I knew that...

I never knew that
But with the large refund we got it's paying a credit card that we've been trying to pay off forever so I'll take the refund anyway I can.
I knew someone who did this too
I think this is a wonderful idea - of course, it wouldn't work for everyone but I can see a lot of benefits if it could work for you...
No...I never knew that either
Not that I care either way, I like her, just never knew that
Yes, and this is how I knew as well. sm
When you get to I don't give $ ___ you are there!
I wish I knew what to say but I am
65 now and have yet to have a midlife crisis. What is going on in your life that you just want to sleep and nothing else. You have no joys in life, just work alone? I have been in what I call ruts before but eventually snapped out of those. One thing is with my work if I would ever just get so fed up with working a lot and burned out basically, would find some time to take off from work and do other things I might enjoy, such as an escape to a movie, the zoo, etc.
Hey thanx, I never knew that! :) sm
About only adjectives with three or more syllables getting the comparative/superlative form of "more" and "most".

I've ALWAYS said "more stupid", but "stupidest" or "most stupid". Why, I don't know. But I usually avoid that word in any form.....
if you knew you were about to die
A friend of ours was a heavy smoker and drinker. He had an heart attack and quit smoking because of it. He has a bad liver and had to quit drinking. Now he found out he has about 9 months to live if he is lucky. He has cancer and it is in all his organs. He had started back to smoking and drinking heavy. Would you do the same thing?
We knew that - we won't dock your pay for it! LOL

thanks Jon-but I knew difference between the 2.

Gee. I knew that would happen! LOL!

Thanks so much to you all. I KNEW I needed help! :-)

Where are you? Wish I knew how to send
pictures so I could show you what our place looks like. I live in suburb of Atlanta and even the bigger homes in my neighborhood, say the 2-3 story places do not run, say over 400-500$$. I could not imagine paying huge price for a home to have a cracker box. I think lot of people paying huge amounts for homes would be surprised if they went on line and checked for homes say in Henry County or Fayette County, both just right outside Atlanta. You really get a bang for your buck here. Not only the cost but wonderful place, clean, quiet, really nice. What are the costs of your homes there?
I never knew they had that! Thanks for giving
me JUST ONE MORE snack to try!!!  LOL.
The last I knew they were about to wrap and that was some
strike would make any difference.
I knew what you meant
You know I did not even notice that, and I knew what you meant! I work third shift so believe me, I was in tune with what you were thinking...I get up too early every day.
HOW DARE YOU! She said she DID before she knew this (sm)
How rude of you to tell her to get a clue!! Very mean!! Why does somebody have to be mean in every thread?????
oh - I thought maybe you knew something
different and I was ready to go get it!  Mine has attempted to get peanuts out of my peanut feeder when the squirrels let him.

not try to keep up with the Jones'. Far from it, to be honest. This post all started when I was really shocked to see that others had to leave certain areas in the ward whenever she wanted to visit the common area, etc. And then to suspend 2 docs for checking out her chart. I just found all of this odd to me. I am not obessessed with celebs. And when Di died? I really could have cared less. I mean, I was sad, but I didn't watch or read anything about it!
