I certainly don't know the circumstances but that sounds a little harsh. Not trying to be judgmental, just trying to understand...do you not want a relationship with that child even now?

My father was adopted, never desired to know his birth parent's from what I knew but I tried to delve into geneaology myself to find more information as I have always been curious and would love to meet my grandparents or aunts/uncles but it was difficult to find information (although I do have names) and I had/still have the fear of rejection.
