control what others do, only what you do yourself and I have sent out invites to people and stipulated not to bring gifts, just to have them there is blessing enough. Some still bring gifts and it's not that I don't teach my kids to say thank you or send thank you cards because I do and I do send thank you cards to people because I see the love in their heart in the giving. I'm just saying control what you can, your own motive, behavior and heart.
