These two words have gone the way of the 45 records. I have given so many expensive and beautiful gifts to young nieces and nephews in the last few years and not one note of acknowledgement. How sad, I had nieces whose babies I went overboard for (because they were not married to the father) and never even got a nod of appreciation at the next event. Rudeness is in, as well as "you owe me" attitude. Perhaps we are not teaching them as we were taught in the old days that it is polite to sit down and write a thank you note. Next big package I put together will include some thank you notes and some stamps!
