I too had 30+ years in as an MT and found I wasn't making it anymore. So I did go back to school, while working as an MT, and learned coding. It took one year of classes. then I studied like crazy, got my coding credential and now work as a coder for a large local hospital as well as MT at home. It can be done. It wasn't easy but it was only one year. Better than 10 more years of complaining about not making it solely with MT.
