Anyone been able to get out of year-round school? sm
I applied last year for year-round school for my son - well I applied for magnet schools and clicked a box that said year round was an option for me.  He got in. My daughter was still in traditional.  We hated the year round schedule. Now they will not let him out. It is like we are trapped forever.  I just moved to another house and went to register him for a new school that is in our zone and was told that since there is a year-round option he still has to go to year round. I have to go to Growth Management to ask to get him out and they will probably say no.  What can I do? How can I get him out? Has anyone ever given them what they consider to be a valid reason?  I am very upset!
this year at our e.school they started a new thing...
the principal is a young hip guy...his new idea is called the "blue team", when a child is caught doing something "excellent", could be anything from getting along, teamwork, perfect paper..anything...the teacher writes a happy gram, sends him to the principal and he draws blue dots on one of their fingernails and is now "in the BLUE TEAM" ..its so corny, but eventually every child in the school is slowly recognized...its corny for sure but it gives them something to work towards.  my little kindergarten boy..who can be so difficult just thought it was the coolest thing ever.   my 3rd grade daughter got in at the beginning of the year and i really didnt think my son would, but just 2 weeks ago he did...he was so proud.  wouldnt let me wash his finger that whole night...its just simple things.....
That was me my senior year of high school.
Since kindergarten for me, I was always above average in school. I was always on the Honor Roll. I always did my homework. I always cared about my grades. In 9th, 10th and 11th grades I still cared. I was in the National Honor Society and still making As and Bs. If I made a C, I was crushed. Then my senior year of high school, something changed. Keep in mind, that the summer before my senior year, my dear Aunt passed away suddenly and we were very close. That year, it seemed like I just stopped caring. The classes I were in had none of my friends. My lunch period had none of my friends. I just usually stayed in the library during lunch. That was the 1st semester. I still did my work and tried to do good. Then the 2nd semester hit and I really stopped caring. I quit doing any school work and that was HIGHLY unusual for me. I was just so sick of school. In March with only 2 or 3 months to go til graduation, I dropped out. All my teachers called because they were just so shocked because I had always been such a good student. The counselors came out to my house and talked with my mom and thought I had social anxiety, but I wouldn't talk to them. I don't know what happened. I just knew that I hated school with a passion and couldn't bear going anymore. I spent like a year wasting around and then I knew I had to get my diploma. So I went to the community college and got my GED. And then I went on to college and got my Associate's. I think that nowadays, they just make school so aggravating and hard for kids. There are horrible teachers who don't care. They depend so much on students passing these end of grade tests instead of going by their grades throughout the year. Such as my cousin for ex., she in in 5th grade and had ADHD. She is in a special class. So far this year, she has made only 1 C. The school sent out a letter half way through the year saying she is in danger of failing. Now, does that make any sense? No. She does great in school but on those end of grade tests, she just does not do good. So, if she fails the end of grade testing, even if she was on the Honor Roll throughout the whole year, she fails her grade. That is NOT fair. The school systems are just stupid i think. I think a lot of kids, once they get to high school, are just so sick of school and how things are, they just don't want to care anymore. I am sure your son will get over this slump. But with me, I dropped out but I still ended up with a diploma and going to college, so I am sure he will turn out fine.
Well, I had to send my twin 3-year-olds to a school.
They are there all day long and I work all day. Paying for the daycare and making more money is about equal to when I worked at home with them in my way, only I am more sane for it and they are learning great social skills. I would really consider changing your hours and putting them in school/daycare/learning center, even if just for a few hours a day. It does help.

Like I said, I feel for you. I have twin 3-year-olds, and I swear they seem worse than when they were 2! LOL!
7-year-old with behavior problems at school inquiry...sm

Our 7-year-old has problems with peer relations, has always had this and it's getting worse.  She is a moody child and comes on too strongly with her peers which is why she doesn't have but 1 friend.

We're now having increasing problems with her talking back to the teachers at school when she's redirected for not doing as she's supposed to be doing in class.  We've had problems with both of these issues with her in the past but it was better last year when she was in a smaller classroom setting.   Now she's in a class with 25 kids and the problems are worse than ever.  Sigh.

We've tried role playing with her on how to respond to her peers appropriately.  She's been given everything from rewards for good behavior to restrictions for not behaving, but the problems continue.  The school psychologist has put her into a group of kids that have a hard time with peers once a week to help with the socialization skills.

Anyone else deal with this and if so, what strategies did you use to overcome this?  I'm more concerned about her negative responses to the teachers than anything.  We're not having problems with her behaving at home - it's only at school.  Any suggestions will be greatly welcome!

get your facts straight. Rosie signed a school year

that was when her original contract was supposed to expire, June 2007, a school-year yearly contract.  ABC wanted her to sign a 3-year contract for the amount of $$ she requested.........and she only wanted to sign a one-year contract.......

I will miss her as I had given up the View due to Star Jones' fiascos....and now, once again, after June, I will never watch it again.  Rosie brought the ratings up because after 9 years of Star Jones, people were tired of the show.

Ta-Ta to The View and ABC.....

12-year old girl forced to take pregnancy test due to school rumor

NEVADA CITY, Calif. -- A 12-year-old girl was forced to take a pregnancy test at school in Nevada City, a lawsuit filed in Nevada County Superior Court alleges.

The Pacific Justice Institute, which is representing the girl, said in a news release that Steve Davis, a counselor at Seven Hills Middle School, pulled the girl out of class.

KCRA 3 has decided not to name the girl out of protection for her privacy.

Davis heard rumors that she was pregnant and wanted to know if it was true, the release said.

Though she denied it and told Davis a classmate had spread rumors about her in the past, the counselor got a pregnancy test from the school nurse and told the 12-year-old to give a urine sample, the Pacific Justice Institute said.

The pregnancy test was negative.

According to the news release, the girl was embarrassed and humiliated, and her parents were angry when they found out.

They worked with the Pacific Justice Institute to get an apology from the Nevada City School District, but didn't receive one.

The lawsuit, filed Oct. 29, 2008, seeks damages for violation of the girl's right to privacy and emotional distress.

"There is no merit in the claim," Superintendent Roger Steel said. He directed further questions to the district's attorney.

Reached at home Monday night, Davis said he had no comment on the lawsuit.

I would have explained that I can't ...sm..
wait any longer and I don't feel I should have to pay the co-pay if I leave after waiting this long.  If enough people explain they can't wait this long, they have work they have to do, other appointments, etc., this kind of thing would cut way back there I'm sure.

Recession Explained

THE CURRENT GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS EXPLAINED

Adam is the proprietor of a fast food restaurant in New York. Sales are low and, in order to increase them, he comes up with a plan to allow his customers to eat now and pay later. He keeps track of the meals consumed on a ledger.

Word gets around and as a result increasing numbers of customers flock to restaurant. The suppliers are delighted and are very willing to sell more and more raw materials for the meals he prepares. Adam shows them his ledger of receivables and they extend him credit.

A young and dynamic customer service consultant at the local bank recognizes these customer debts as valuable future assets and gives Adam a credit line and then increases Adams' borrowing limit.

Taking advantage of his customers' freedom from immediate payment constraints, Adam jacks up the prices of his Burgers and Shakes. Customers dont mind as they are not required to pay on the spot. Sales volume increases massively; Banks and suppliers lend more; Adam opens more outlets. He sees no reason for undue concern since he has the debts of the customers as collateral.

At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert bankers recognize Adams' customer loans as assets and transform these customer assets into BONDS. These negotiable instruments are given exotic names such as FISHNCHIPSBOND, DOUBLEBACONBOND, BEEFBURRITOBOND AND CHOCOLATESHAKEBOND. These securities are then listed on the Stock Exchange and traded on markets worldwide. No one really understands what the names mean and how the securities are guaranteed but, nevertheless, as their prices continuously climb, the securities become top-selling items.

One day, although the prices are still climbing, a credit risk manager of the bank decides that the time has come to demand payment of one of the debts incurred by Adam. Adam in turn asks his clients to pay up. One by one they refuse; the clients cannot pay back the debts. Adam refuses to serve them any more. The clients stop coming.

Adam is really screwed now. He cannot fulfill his loan obligations and therefore claims bankruptcy. All Bonds drop in price by between 80 to 95%.

The suppliers of Adam, having granted generous payment due dates and having invested in the securities are faced with similar problems. The meat supplier defaults on payment to the sheep and cattle supplier and claims bankruptcy. The Cheese supplier is taken over by a competitor; Adam lays off the cook and staff.. Bankruptcies soar, unemployment mushrooms.

The bank that lent the money in the first place is set to collapse. It is saved by the Government following dramatic round-the-clock consultations by leaders from the governing political parties with Adam commuting back and forth in his Executive jet and Mercedes 500SEL, brokering the deal.

The funds required to save the economic collapse are obtained by a tax levied on the citizens, most of whom do not eat Burgers or Shakes.

UNDERSTOOD?

Call the school. I had a threat like this in my high school and they cancelled school that day.
Thankfully, because the person making the threats was found with material for home made pipe bombs and quit a bit of ammunition and a shotgun. He was arrested and charged. Never allowed back in the school.

I think it would be safer to call the school and get classes cancelled for a day to investigate versus make a scene in the parking lot, especially if the student with the knife is inside with the knife.

Good luck. If nothing happens, pull your child out of school for a week. See what happens. I know that sounds horrible, but small towns is where this happens most often.
Not only around Christmas but other holidays as well. Things that can't be explained any other w

You never ever put anything in writing
that you would not want others to see. Now with the children being totally out of control, the school is probably being proactive in the discipline of this child- she surely is not being taught much from her home. I think the school probably is doing the right thing, maybe the child will not be so apt to post bad remarks about the next person.
Get everything in writing. sm

Any challenge of the validity of the debt must be in writing.  Send it certified.  Did you receive anything in writing from them?  By law they must send something in writing 5 days after the first phone call.  If they do happen to sue, show up in court or they will get a default judgment.  You can, however, ask for validation even in court.  Go to that website I gave you.  You will find tons of information about your rights in dealing with collection agencies.  http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/

Writing
I used to write all the time; my main focus was on poems/lyrics...I miss writing so much, I haven't done it in a few years because I have MS and I guess I have sort of given up yet the words are still inside; just a bit more difficult to get them out. I miss it so much - any tips you could offer me...I still have my MT gig but that gets a little hard too but i am still trying...
EVERYTHING in writing.
Start a journal & in it document every sniffle, every cough, every trip to the doctor or the pharmacy, every sleepless night, every lost hour of work, time & date & duration of mold smell. Requests to fix the problem have to be in writing. Mail them certified & get receipts. Conversations with the landlord: After they happen, write down word for word what was said, time, date.

If you have to resort to legal action to break the lease, you MUST have everything in writing. I suggest you get a book on tenant rights from Nolo Press or visit a lawyer NOW so that s/he can help you plan this out.
I find the writing fantastic.
I get very annoyed with writers who have no writing skills. My hubby insisted I read a book a while back that was getting all these raves - the one they made a movie with Tom Hanks, and it was all about art and Rome and theories about Biblical history - I can't remember the name. That writer needs to walk the plank IMO. After one chapter I was livid that anybody would publish such a horrible writer, LOL. His vocabularly consists of about 100 words, for one thing.
The writing is on the wall, so to speak
You make a difference in the g'parents- your children are picking up on this. I had a similar thing going on with my son- my mother did all the loving, fun things he wanted- my father (they were divorced, each remarried) was strict, no fun to be around, hardworking but I believed in their being able to share and I did. Both are deceased now and I do not regret having him spend as much time with 1 as the other. Oh, BTW, one of my most enjoyable things as a child was when I spent time with my father and his wife- they had a small garden and I absolutely loved to dig up the potatoes- used to beg to get to do it. You should have a good talk with everyone and insist spending time with all- don’t let your feelings play into their hesitancy on going. Grandparents are not always right but she wants to have some time with them. Not all g'parents want to be bothered with kids, believe it or not.
I believe I was talking about the style of your writing.
Stay on task, please.

Well, writing this after the episode was shown.
Doubt we will see Callie and McSteamy but Merideth better get over that thing she has not dealing with her life with mom or she may lose her man.  Drives me nuts, let it go already, get over it, move on.  Liking the new doc Yang has her eyes on more every episode.  Gosh, we all sound like this is really a functional and actual hospital setting;-)
IT IS BEGINNING TO LOOK

Here I am in southern Indiana (right across the river from Louisville, KY) and it is simply beautiful here today!  Of course, I get to stay at home and don't have to battle the elements - just keep the fire going!

The temp is around 32 with a brisk wind and it has been snowing furiously for the past half hour.  We are only to get a dusting.  The birds are flocking to the feeder - gold and scarlet finches, red-headed woodpecker, two pairs of cardinals, nuthatchers, snowbirds, wrens.  Top this off with Christmas music playing in the background --- it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

House is totally decorated - in every room including bathrooms - Christmas shopping is probably 2/3 done and ... a whole pile of work waiting on me so I'd better get moving!!!

Merry Christmas to one and all.  Don't forget the Reason for the Season!

I am beginning to wonder --sm
about the molestation part too, as he did mention, in what I had the opportunity to hear, rape and molestation several times in his diatribe. Last night on the news, they did several interviews with men and women who had gone to school with him either in high school or at VT and ALL of them said that he never spoke ...ever! When he wrote his plays, the class was supposed to discuss them with the writer for comments and to try to understand what he meant by writing them. When he was asked, he would not speak...not even to the teacher. Several students said that they would try to speak to him or include him in conversations and he would just ignore them. One of his dorm mates said he never spoke to anybody there, ever. There was another teacher, a female, who had asked him to be removed from her class because he was so disruptive and he frightened her. He was also complained against for taking pictures of girls' legs from under his desk with his cell phone. I really don't understand the revolution part either, but he did seem to have some ill feelings for some political leaders, too. How does one become so hateful? I guess we will never really know the answer to that.
Did from the beginning, but then (sm)
we turned off HBO to save money, so I haven't seen this season, but I plan on renting it when it's over.  I love that show!!  Especially Nikki.
They like him now, in the beginning it was
little difficult. The first time they met him was at the zoo for a picnic through his work. They were 10 and 5 at the time, so that way they weren't just thrown together with him one-on-one like if I had had him over to dinner. In the beginning we did things like that, or went to the movies where they really didn't have to interact all that much with them. Then gradually he was around more and more. They are now 18 and 13 and they get along great. He had an adjusment to make as well, his kids are 25 and 22, so he wasn't used to being around little ones again. We have been together 8 years now, and they just sort of expect him to be around all the time. I didn't try to force him or them on each other, but they knew about him, and once they saw I was happier with him than I had been in years, they adjusted pretty well.
Was beginning to think it was must me
We were old-time Folger's fans until recently, and I told my husband to change the type of coffee we were buying. Folger's tasted different, almost a bitter taste. I too used bottled water, and we changed our coffee pot too. It didn't work, so I am glad to know it was not just my taste buds that were off. It also smelled different.
Read up on writing etiquette. It is yelling.
It comes across as hateful
Letter or card writing to Iraq sm
Get an address for someone in Iraq and have them all write a letter or draw a picture for them.. All it will cost you is to buy some paper & envelopes and provide a stamp, won't cost much more for material than most projects. There was an address on here and perhaps she will e-mail you. My brother never forgot that my son's class did this for him. At that time the postage was free, not so with this president, I assume. I put postage in mine to Iraq, didn't ask.Dont know what the postage is today - it should be free but I seriously doubt it.Perhaps some parents would donate stamps as well.
The company writing the 1099 reports that
They have to report the 1099s they distribute.

I personally have great disdain for tax evaders, which is what you are if you don't report your income.

I pay my taxes and report all of my income fairly and accurately. Those who don't are commiting a criminal act against me as a taxpayer and against the government.

Sending your 1099 in a black envelope would be a protective measure, prevening others from easily viewing information through the envelope. Not quite as underhanded as you seem to want to believe. :)

Check-writing doesn't bother me
so much as the little old ladies with their frail eyesight and arthritic hands, bless their hearts, digging in their coin purses for the exact change.  It's too bad I'm in such a hurry I can't just admire their independence.
I'm beginning to think the way to solve this whole (sm)
illegal invasion is to start suing the employers of these criminal scrum (it is after all illegal to be hiring them). The govt won't do anything about them. It's time to use the justice system. Every time one of these criminals kills, rapes, abuses, etc., all the families should sue the employer for criminal negligence. But for the fact they hire these criminals, they wouldn't be able to stay in the US to do their dirty deeds. Hmmm, maybe we need to turn the ambulance-chasing lawyers onto this. It just might work.
I hit hard at the beginning...sm
I work at the beginning of the pay period to get ahead a little bit so if I have a slacking day, I am okay. It is hard to stay motivated constantly, but this way most of the time, I see myself ahead of the game money wise and that motivates me more. I also keep a checklist of the bills and goodies that i want and check them off as i accumulate the money. Keeps my spending under control AND feels great when all those bills have check marks next to them. Doing this stuff, i have almost doubled my production over the last six months. Hope one of these help!
In the beginning, I thought she was really
talented, but now not so much. Maybe she's just not as good as the others or not progressing as much as they are.

And I agree about the diva attitude. That will work against her because the ones who get an attitude and are rude to the judges don't seem to last long & lose popularity with the voters...
I like Adam....Have from the beginning...
I hope he wins. He is a rocker, have you listened to a rocker who doesn't scream?
Dog killing and mayor involved in letter writing
I am really in a twizzy this morning. Shirley Franklin, city of Atlanta mayor, wrote a letter to the judge involved in the Michael Vick dog fighting/killing asking for leniency as, how she put it, Vick had done a lot for the community and helped folks out. Phooey!!! I hope personally he never is able to return to the Falcons or any other football team. I think whatever he was able to accomplish was blown by the fact that he participated in the killing of dogs. How inhumane is that? I hope PETA gets out and strikes each and every time (if he is rehired by any jackoffs) he is supposed to be playing. Came from the ghetto and I suppose the thug still in him. What a shame. Never made a million in my life and he made mega millions and then threw it all away for ??? I am vexed by her doing such a deed and will send letter stating my feelings.

Here's the Fugitive beginning narration

As quoted from this site:  http://www.tvacres.com/begin_police.htm

" [Voice of William Conrad on regular opening] "The Fugitive...a QM Production...starring David Janssen as Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent victim of blind justice, falsely convicted for the murder of his wife, reprieved by fate when a train wreck freed him on route to the death house, freed him to hide in lonely desperation, to change his identity, to toil at many jobs, freed him to search for a one-armed man he saw leave the scene of the crime, freed him to run before the relentless pursuit of the police lieutenant obsessed with his capture...Tonight's Episode..."

I get mine taken off Sep. 26. In the beginning your whole mouth sm
feels weird, your lips feel swollen, and you do "feel" ugly when you open up your mouth. I don't even remember they are on anymore.

It's a small price to pay since you will yield great results in the end.

For me, I have clear on top and metal on the bottom. The problem I have is keeping them white since I love colas and teas - they stain easily, so I always rince with cold water after drinking tea or soda.

I see you are complaining about how you look and not about how you feel. The first 2 weeks I couldn't even eat! It was probably the most painful think I've ever experienced with intense jaw and teeth pain and I've had 3 children!

In any case, good luck!

PS: The office who takes care of my braces say that 50% of their patients are adults.

What infuriates me is that in the beginning he pleaded
totally innocent, knew nothing about it.  Then he was offered a plea bargin and of course his attoney told him he'd better take it to get less time. . . now all of a sudden he takes full responsibility and is SO SORRY.  People like him turn my stomach. I think he should be thrown into water and electricuted like the poor dogs who either died that way or had their skulls crushed. I can't even look at his face.
If I'm at the beginning, I'll start
with flour and oil or drippings. If I'm at the end, I'll use cornstarch and water.
sounds phony to me too...great career in fiction writing...nm

someone crying out for help but no one getting through to them. Of course Michael would alienate or fire anyone that told him he was crazy. Sad thing for Brittney is that this bizarre behavior will hurt her in her custody attempt for the kids, and if she's that mentally unstable she shouldn't have the kids.
Just beginning my journey in elder care

93-year-old dad fell six weeks ago (luckily, didn't break any bones). However, he is now dependent on a walker. My 86-year-old mom is getting burned out from taking care of him.

They live in another state and I just visited last weekend. Starting to get an idea of the situation and what they need, what I can do (from a distance), with visits every two months or so.

A friend had a lot of good suggestions. I also am reminding myself that I need to take care of myself (am dealing with a stressful job situation) in order to be able to help them out.

Do you wake up early in the AM with the beginning of pain? (sm)
My migraines were often caused by a sinus headache run amok. I would wake up early, like 4:00 AM, with a tiny little sinus headache. If I was too lazy to get up and take something for it, (decongestant with pseudoephedrine in it) and 2 aspirin, I'd wake up with an out-of-control headache at 8:00 AM that would no longer respond to anything. That in turn would usually trigger a migraine. For me anyway, the secret to preventing the migraine was getting that sinus headache under control. The best combination (for me) was 2 regular-strength Sudafed and 2 extra-strength Excedrin (or Excedrin Migraine) taken immediately upon feeling even the slightest twinge in the early morning. Then I'd go back to sleep, ND 9 times out of 10, I'd wake up headache-free.

For out-of-control migraines, (or when I was out of Imitrex), I had good results with lying down & placing an ice bag directly on the exact spot where the pain was on the top right side of my head, and PUSHING ON IT. Once the proper dilated vein or artery was getting chilled, I would feel relief, but ONLY if I remained absolutely motionless, and KEPT ON PUSHING. Under the best circumstances, I could sometimes abort the migraine in an hour or two. At at the very worst, at least it made it easier to endure.

Sometimes sucking on a popsicle helps, too! (But probably not a good idea for the sinusitis!) ;D

With a recent sinus INFECTION, I got good, though not long-lasting, pain relief with Excedrin Sinus Headache, which has no aspirin in it.

Have you tried changing brands (or permanancy) of hair colors? Maybe you're allergic to the fumes, if it's not causing your skin to break out.

Interesting Note: I refer to my migraines in the past tense because in the past 6-8 years they've gradually disappeared, and are now rare, and considerably milder. Menopause may have played a role, but about the same time the headaches began to disappear, I had been diagnosed with depression and begun taking an SSRI. SSRIs have recently been found to reduce or eliminate menopausal symptoms, and I believe it, as I never had any symptoms at all - not even a single hot flash. I notice while transcribing (especially Neurology...) that lots of people who have depression also have migraines. Coincidence? I'm starting to think not. My depressive episodes almost always coincided with a migraine, and it was impossible to tell which one might have caused the other. SO --- if SSRIs can cure hot flashes, I wonder if they might also be helping with the migraines, which are also a result of dilated blood vessel(s)??? Food for thought. Might be worth asking a neurologist about.

As for migraine PREVENTION, I learned a lot from a doctor I used to have who GOT migraines. (BIG difference between that type of doc, and one who DOESN'T get them!) He told me to avoid:
1. Strobe lights or strobing fluorescent lights.*
2. Sleeping in late on weekends if I normally get up early on weekdays.
3. Skipping meals.
4. Movies, cartoons or TV shows with bright flashing colors/lights and jerky movements.*
5. Looking at copy-machines while they are photocopying.*

* (This is because migraines are believed by some doctors to be related to epileptic attacks - the aura, that post-ictal feeling afterwards, etc., and some epileptic attacks can be triggered by strobes and flashing lights. I've even had them brought on by driving along a highway with frequent, intermittent changes from sun to shade caused by a row of tall trees on one side with the sun behind them.)

One more "handy hint", then I'll shut up! You know how when you have a migraine attack, and one by one have to cross things off your day's "to-do" list, including social commitments? And when you call to cancel, people treat you like a malingerer, telling you to just "take an aspirin" and "shake it off?" Or even getting angry and yelling at you? Well, I got tired of that, and started telling folks I had the FLU, instead. Same symptoms, but "flu" is something people can relate to and understand! (Plus they don't want to catch it from you!) ;p
Cold/sinus infection with beginning of period?

Okay, here's the deal.  The day before my period, for the last year or so, I get a horrendously bad cold/sinus infection/flu-type process.  It usually goes away about a day or two after my period.  I have never ever had this happen before and its really bad this month.  I have all the symptoms... stuffiness, red runny eyes, runny stuffy nose, pounding headache, throat like daggers, etc.  It started as postnasal drip yesterday and I thought ohhh great... here we go.  Needless to say I was up most of last night in complete tears because of the pain of it all and not being able to swallow at all.  I have tried researching on the internet about this happening, but can't find any information.  Has anyone heard of this or had this happen?  I just want to stop it.  truly, I would take the worst god awful cramps over this torture.  I have had this both on and off the pill and I am only 31.  Any information would be appreciated as I know what a wealth of information our community could be.  Unfortunately, I am in Europe and so I can't go to my GP easily.  The doctors here don’t do anything about anything unless its major either and I know they will brush it off as some silly sinus infection, but it happens every month and goes away in 3 days on its own, so it can't be a run of the mill thing.  Any advice is welcome.  I go home to the US in 6 months and I can wait if I have to, but maybe some angel out there knows something to help.  I have tried tons of medications and herbal things/natropathic and nothing works except my period being established.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the icky topic. ;)
