back in 1996 and we had a blast. We stayed in a bed and breakfast and the owner thought we were so great that she ended up giving us basically the run of the house. We went all over Anchorage and down to Seward during the 4 days we were there. I've told my fiance that I want to go back because it's such a beautiful state.

I feel a bit isolated too, miss having the girlfriends
Or just go do random things like in high school and post high school.  They are all married, divorced, kids, new friends, busy lives.  I am in school and find myself just beaming inside happy to be around people.
Alaska

I sure did love it. I lived there for 4 years, all through my high school.  I left to go to college, as there were not good colleges in Alaska (in my opinion) back in the late 70's, early 80's.  I almost came back to Alaska after a few years, as I missed it so much!

I have gone back for a couple of class reunions and it is fun, but now that I'm older, I don't think I want to live back there again.  When you live in Alaska, you are very isolated.  You can't just get in your car and drive to "Grandma's" for Christmas or anything.  You basically have to fly to get back to the states or else go on a very long road trip (!).  That's the down-side.

Otherwise, it is very beautiful and a wonderful place to live if you enjoy the outdoors!

Are you by any chance from Alaska?

Or do you mean just because it gets dark early because of the time change.  I've heard of people in Alaska with the night being so long using that light for depression, but that's really the only time I've heard of it.

looking for MTs from Alaska, Anchorage preferred sm

Husband has brought up the idea of moving to Anchorage.  He is looking at a job there.  I would like someone who has time to answer some questions through e-mail.

If interested, please e-mail me.
