... some of us old dogs don't want to learn new tricks, this close to retirement. Could be because despite the drop in pay scales, some of us LIKE the 15-foot commute, the work wardrobe (pajamas) and the complete lack of office politics. Yeah, I could make more money if I went back to billing--but I'd wind up spending most of the difference in gas and maintenance costs and a professional wardrobe. Plus the inevitable psychotherapy bills. Been there, done that, much prefer this, despite the enormous pay cut. Sure I'd like to make more money. But sometimes making more money costs too much.
