Absolutely NOT! You're doing the best thing right not. Stick to your guns - you are being a great, responsible parent and do not let your kid brow beat you into feeling "negligent." I didn't have a car or driver license until I was 19 just like you and I had to make my own payments.

Part of being an adult is supporting yourself and not "expecting" other people, including your parents, to provide you with things. She's very lucky to have any car at her age - even an old one.
