MTs come out of expensive community college courses and actually could not transcribe the tapes on their final exams! Alot of these schools just take your money and don't teach what you need to know. There are a few good ones out there, but there are more bad than good.

There are many lazy MTs who have gotten through school and are absolutely horrible. I have tested them and its a joke!
