Live in rural America and most doctors here are in practice under the local hosptial, etc with the hospital hiring/running their practices, hence they tend to have their dictatation done in-house. With the private docs, one large group started with EMR, they all went along sooner or later, (different systems but still no transcription required for the most part) even the hospital is looking into using it for their physicians now, since one of the docs is demanding it for herself. Yep, the transcription has "dried up" out here in the boonies. I had to go with a national to stay at home.
