Yes, the dangerous-abbreviations requirement applies to handwritten and documents entered by hand into a computer. (Which sounds like MT to me!)
It does not apply to orders written in a CPOE (computerized provider order entry) or something similar.
However, whether it's applicable to transcription or not, most facilities will apply the rule across the board for consistency. That way, you don't end up with half the professional staff insisting that they can so use the abbreviation because it's all over transcribe documents.

There has always been a consistent
work flow since I have been at Amphion. I was told at the time of hire that there were several accounts waiting to come on board, but they hadn't been accepted because there weren't enought MTs to cover them. This makes more sense to me than taking the accounts and then working the MTs to death. BTW, I'm a part-time MT (not management)with 15 years of experience. I don't miss working nights and weekends either.
I have mostly remained on the same account, but have had some training on a second one. I took the test on July 3, and was interviewed and hired on July 5 after my references were checked. They offered to send the computer that week, but I asked them to wait a few days while I tied up some loose ends. Nice equipment, good support and a very decent account. They pay on time as agreed with direct deposit. They took me off proofing in two weeks. Most of all, I'm left in peace during my shift to do the work, and am not constantly interrupted with e-mails. So far, quite good.

The 3 days are 13-hour days. Keep about 265-275 line/hour average. Get 9 cpl base plus incentive.

I have done it, but it is not possible to do that for 4 hours straight, and definitely not for 8. There are so many factors that affect your work.... how many times you stop to look up things, ESLs, wasted time with doctors who don't have their thoughts organized, etc. I have done 350-400 lines an hour rarely... usually it is 275-300 if I have a very familiar doctor, no terms to look up, and my fingers and mind are communicating that day. :o) So long answer short, it is 'doable', but doubtful that you could keep it up for 8 hours.
We are told to be consistent, so
I would go with 15,600 and 18,000, or 15.6 and 18.0. We do not write out "thousand" in that situation.
It's always best to try to maintain a consistent system throughout, but - sm
