Is there anybody out there that lives in Idaho?
idaho
Where do you live?
Idaho
Where abouts are you. I live in Boise
In Idaho...
The rates are not so great in the hospitals. Our two largest medical centers pay starting at anywhere from $12-13..All you can pray for is to get a rotten shift working weekends so you get shift and weekend differential would could add a dollor or two more, but it was not worth it for me because I did not want to work every night and weekend to get a decent wage..But $8.50..HECK NO.. I'd be a janitor first and not have to deal with the frustrations.
Northern Idaho!

It reminded me of TV show "Northern Exposure".  Rugged people, rugged landscape, natural beauty!  Absolutely fantastic!

New Bedford, MA, now in Idaho
Now in Idaho via CA for 40 years.
I thought YOU were the only one that lived in Idaho,,,,,
:I
darn near 31, female, Idaho

Been doing MT for 10 years off and on, the last six years at home.

They found the missing girl from Idaho, whose
mother and 2 others were killed, and they couldn't find the 2 kids. I'm watching FOX now about it. The little boy was not found but the girl was found alive at a Denny's in the same town she was missing from.
I live in Idaho and maybe I can shed a little light.
It depends on where in Idaho you are moving.  If it is a rural area or smaller town, there will not be much if any work for you.  If you are moving to Boise or another bigger Idaho town, you may find something fairly quickly.  The best thing to do is to use a search engine on the Internet for the town you are moving to and find out all of the medical facilities/hospitals in and around that area and then send them a letter and a resume and let them know you are looking for work.  That is how I found my transcriptionist jobs (I work for three different offices).  I hope this helps.
Visited Idaho a few years back sm
beautiful, beautiful state. Decided that's where I want to retire.
the idaho case was botched. so maybe the arubans can fix it. who knows who is involved?
there is NO LIMIT to the Texas searchers and the person in charge of the search said the Aruban government was FULLY COOPERATIVE. As far as the FBI, are those the same crack agents who managed to let 911 slip by without noticing? Yeah right. Our government can do things so much better.
It's easy to see why we have so many Californians moving here to Idaho. My power bill is $50
The cost of housing is outta control in California you. We have so many people from Cali selling their small homes there and coming to Idaho with the money and buying HUGE houses here...
Idaho case was botched in that a convicted sexual offender was out on the street to
kidnap this little girl and her younger brother.  This is what the Arubans were protesting when people are saying they botched a case when this stuff happens in America.
Elaine Johnson of Boise, Idaho, you won the Build A Bear Bucks!

We don't hold people who are guilty long enough as evident in the Idaho case where the sexual

OFFENDER (a very real proven criminal) was given freedom to kidnap, molest and kill one of two children.  Then again we have that society reject who TOLD the police he was a sexual offender and would do it again.  He was free to kill the little girl in Florida.  Now you hear our wonderful system cannot use his confession because he did not have a lawyer present.  I see why the Arubans may think we are the pot calling the kettle black.

As for Mrs. Twitty, she needs to appoint a spokesperson before she does any more damage.  I don't care how emotional she feels, she really is clueless about what is going on internally in the investigation and she needs to realize this and quit commenting.

I live in Pocatello and work for MQ (nm)

I'm with you, ready to retire
but have a few years to go, like 20. My production hasn't gone up 25%, has yours? If anything it has gone down. Have you thought about Spheris? I had a job offer last year at 10 cpl, should have taken it probably.
I would like to retire in this profession too
but fear for my job's safety. I unfortunately think the bottom line for a lot of these hospitals and doctors is the $$ and nothing more. They want to save money and don't care about the quality of the reports any more. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.
If you retire and go on SS, there is a set limit--sm
you can earn per month, if you continue to work, or they will reduce your SS income per month by how much over the set amount you are allowed. NOT a pension retirement, SS retirement.
And you are correct. I have 6 yrs until I retire and
nm
They want a retirement that they don't even contribute to, they already retire at 55.
x
I've been wishing I could retire since I was still
Sure don't see it in my future, though, unless I win the Lottery, and most times I can't afford to play.
Or smart enough to not retire if you cant afford

When she took retire. she agreed to 900 limit.

Many people retire to Belize.
I saw an ad once about how you can live really comfortably there and Americans are dual citizens. I visited Belize last year and it was gorgeous, but it is still rough around the edges. Very small, and remote. We here in the USA are used to creature comforts which would not be this way in other countries. Plus, we take liberty and freedom for granted and living in these other places, well I doubt they see things the way we do.
Quit working BEFORE retire, no income, no
x
Retired or retarded? Anyone can retire if they set their life standards low enough
BUt if you think sitting on the couch pointing fingers at how bad the government is constitutes a wonderful successful life, good for you!

I'm not the one complaining about how bad things are, YOU are!

By the way, precious. I don't have to work, I want to, and am no longer an MT because I've gotten an education and moved on to a productive life with goals that stretch beyond the living room and the computer room.

Get over yourself. No one is impressed because your life certainly does not sound impressive in the least.

Do not cheat you chose to retire earlly deal with it
That is part of the problem everyone wants everything.  If you took early retirement, stay retired. Do no try to go around the system or the rules.  If everyone pays their full share it is fair.   But when you try to cheat hopefully it will come back and bite you as we do not need this .  Everyone needs to pay taxes on their income whether it is IC or employee.  If everyone pays their share it is fair. You chose early retirement, deal with it.
I think she was leaving an inhouse job and of course would retire rather than lose her benefits by j

They do that up north to.
I live in Illinois and there is a gas station here that posts the bad checks on this huge wall they have.

By the way...I worked a 12 hour shift today. I really don't need the correction on my spelling. I realize I hit the 'n' instead of the 'm'. I'm done now...this is dumb.
Me, too! We're in north Fla so
still haven't had the worst yet.  Can you believe it is starting this early?  This is getting pretty old!!   I guess this one shouldn't be to bad though (hopefully).  Stay safe!!
No, I'm in the north (Michigan) and (sm)
really don't have any at this time, either; I've only had a couple of accounts over the years where there were lots of drawls, I think one was a V.A. in S. Carolina. I think now they've probably all been replaced by ESLs!
North Alabama Transcriptionists
Are there any hospitals based in North Alabama who use at-home Radiology Transcriptionists?
Any North Alabama Transcriptionists?
I posted on the state board, but I don't think many people go to that board.  I was just wondering if there any home-based transcriptionists near me.  Thank you for your time.

I am in Limestone County.
North Myrtle Beach
Having lived at Pawley's Island - this is some really pretty country.  Get out of the car at the Myrtle Beach Sign in the middle of the highway for some photo ops.  Also, for those of you traveling to North Myrtle Beach - please make a short trip (30 minutes with no traffic) down to Pawley's Island and see the Brookgreen Gardens and Hunnington Beach.  There are also a lot of "real" little shops at Pawley's Island with real treasures to find - not cheap souvenier stuff.  You can watch the weavers make the Original Pawley's Island Hammacks.  I know that you are all probably going for either the beach or the golf, but beware that the sewage drains into the ocean up on the Grand Strand and there is usually a daily feces report - so if it is high - don't go into the water.  I hope that ya'll have a great time.  If you get the chance - try some Shrimp and Grits, frogmore stew and some of the other low country delicacies.  You will have a blast.  Remember hurricane insurance, too - in case one is headed that way and you don't want to lose your money on your flight and accommodations.
In Columbia, TN now about 3 hours north. nm

But of course, only in North America for the most part.
Read up some more. They use this term WIDELY in Asia...go figure! Don't know about you but I'm a bit sick of the politically correct crap going on in this country. I will side with the first dictionary - that it is grammatically correct albeit politically incorrect, because like who cares? I sure don't. : D
Yep, a hospital north of the river.
I'll email you the name.
Would love too, but I am in North Wilmington sm
and can't afford the time away from my account this time of year. Would love to take you up on it in the summer time. Spring is just so busy for me.
I'm in North Central Indiana
and have used ATT/yahoo DSL. Not sure if this would work for your or not, but I've used it for years and very rarely have problems.

Note it says North America - sm
that does not necessarily mean in the United States, still could be Mexico or Canada.
Any Canadian MTs here? Am thinking of moving north. Could you

I am interested in knowing a few things about living in Canada and working for the U.S. company.  I also understand Canadian medical institutions utilize MTs.  Would like to correspond with an MT living in Canada.

My e-mail address is above.  If you have time to answer a few questions, please e-mail.  I am considering moving to B.C., Vancouver or Okanagan Valley depending what I find during my scouting of each area; am presently in California.

Thank you!

Hope she lives in the north cuz if she gets in the sun and walks
across a highway it will create a grease slick from all that lard rendering.
Hi Soho! Just north of you in Dutchess county. :) nm
