It sounds like you have some really serious issues going on. Word has a *fix and repair* feature. Perhaps you should try that. You should not be getting so many tmp files by all accounts and they should not be being stored in the folder you are working in, if I understand that right. Perhaps it is time for a hard drive reformat. That would clear out any problems and you could start all over again. It is an inconvenience, I know, but I would rather be inconvenienced than to have to go through what you are going through on a daily basis. good luck to you.
