yes, that happens to me too...

I don't get a patient list from this client either. I have asked for one and they tell me they don't have one, so I've asked them to please have the docs spell the names. Yet still, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, which leaves me guessing to spell the best I can. I guess they hand-write patients in for appointments as well.

It really irks me when the doctor starts dictating and emphasizes, "This is a RE-dictation....." That is a putdown to me in my opinion. He's already blamed the MT. What about the office staff? Do the doctors ever even think they are the ones losing these notes? I even had the OM call me one day, on speaker phone with one of the doctor's in her office, asking me, "How are we going to fix this problem of losing dictations?" I simply told her if it gets dictated and I receive that dictation, then it gets typed. If I don't get the dictation, then how can I type it? I told her I do not pick and choose which patients I'm going to type. I type them in order as I receive the dictation. We don't type, we don't get paid. What do they think??
