We are all doomed
Well I hope Obama gets it because he is the best chance at getting our country back to some form of normalcy. He cares about the American people. He's worked his whole life helping the poor and disadvantaged. He stands behind his votes (unlike Hillary who tells us she wished she voted a different way). Hillary has spent her career helping herself. She cares nothing about the American people. She just says what she believes the people want to hear, but her record shows us what she is really all about. Everybody critisizes Obama always saying "his past speaks for itself", but they don't really know what that means. I constantly get the "he's more liberal than the Kennedy's", however most people don't even know what that means. He's a person I can believe in. Clinton is just another extension of Bush/McCain.

If there is any hope of the democrats winning back the presidency Obama needs to be the candidate. Why do you think the republicans, Rush Limbaug and others are urging all people to vote for Hillary - because they are afraid of Obama and they know that McCain will not win over Obama, however if Hillary wins the nomination it will be a slam dunk and the republicans will win. I absolutely hate what the republican party has become (I used to be that party but not anymore). However if Hillary is elected I will be voting for McCain, along with thousands of other people I've heard. McCain may not be the greatest but you know where he stands. Hillary is a liar and a criminal. She is the foulest creature on this planet. She's is power hungry and she is "destroying" anything that crosses her path. She will put out lies about Obama and then turn around and cry that he's not being fair to her.

As for the super delegates - I've heard they are slimy snakes and will vote for whoever gives them a better lunch. I just pray that on the inside they realize that the only hope we have to win the white house back is to vote for Obama.

Another thing...if you like any sort of control over your life why in the world would anyone even consider voting her in. She is a true blood socialist (read her life story and statements she has made). She does not believe people can make decisions for themselves and that's what the government is for. She is foul mouth (read her statements). She is irrational and does not have the experience she claims to have (again read her background). She's devious, a liar and a poor choice for a candidate. She is so power hungry to get back in there she will destroy anything that gets in her way. She thinks the office belongs to her and that she should have just been annointed in.

Also, I can't figure out why nobody remembers what life was like for us all when they were in there before. People were losing their jobs left and right. People who made a decent wage, lost their jobs went overseas and a rise of "poverty paying wage" jobs rose up. Even then the people who so called "benefited" from this still had to subsidize their incomes with food stamps because they didn't make enough money to support their families. People were losing their homes, were living in the streets, cost of living went up while pay rates didn't. We were taxed, taxed, taxed to the hilts while the Clintons and their friends (who happened to be the so called 2% of the richest people in America) did not suffer any. They acted as though they were king and queen and they lived the life (and believe it or not I voted for them). Our military was dessimated and our country destroyed.

As for the delegates - I hope for the best and hope they come to realize what a creature she is and will do the right thing. I also find it unconstitutional that we the people vote but they come in and just "decide" who will be put in there. Talk about a breakdown in the system!

I will never be a US citizen if she gets in there but then again she never will win. Our only true hope is for people to come to their senses and do the right thing and vote Obama. And until the Clinton lovers bring out the truth about Hillary and her past criminal activities and plans to turn the country into a socialist economy I don't even want to hear how some people think they know about Obama's background. It's no where near what this creature has done. What a disgrace she is and anyone who is for her!
just doomed.

That is how I feel - "doomed".  There is so much hatred, lies, and rumors flying on this board.  The only thing I can see from the posts is there is a lot of hatred towards Obama.  Everyone who is attacking Obama has not said one positive thing about McCain.  They are trying to spread fear.  One point in particular that keeps coming up is about Obama's former pastor (R. Wright) and how he has spewed hatred in the church, yet you won't say anything about McCains spiritual leader (whom he still follows), Rod Parsley, who believes these wacked out ideas about how this religion and that religion is a "false" religion (mind you every other religion that isn't his - which has some whacked out ideas of his own) and it's America's mission to destroy Islam.  Then his other ministor Haggee, who says that the Catholic church is the Antichrist and a false cult.  So for all the attacks you put on Obama's former minister (whom he longer seeks advice from), you seem to ignore that McCain is still taking advice from these two nut cases.  And you seem to think that's okay.

All i know is neither candidate is a very good choice.  The Obama supporters who like him and believe in him will say so, but the people who absolutely hate Obama for whatever reason they have do not have anything good to say about McCain.

So, I just say....we're doomed!  It will be interesting to see who the "big boys" (oil companies, CEOs, and millionaires) decide who our next president will be.  I can't figure out which one they like better.  As for me, I'll be staying home watching all the people who go out and vote because they actually believe our vote counts.

We're doomed - seriously!!!!
Clinton's back in the WH!

C'mon you can't tell me there was nobody else qualified to do the job. Even then I question her qualifications. She certainly wasn't qualified to be president, now she's going to be running around the world as though she is head honcho. And what's Billy-boy going to be doing????? You know if he has his way his hand will be in the cookie jar somehow.

Oh please, I can't wait to hear the outcome of the bc issue. Somebody's got to put a stop to the incompetence hiring!

If this is a preview as to how the next 4 years is going to be this country is going to go down the tubes and real quick.

But then at least I can say don't come crying to us - you voted for him.

I'd like to add in a few choice words at this point but know my post would be deleated if I did.
Those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
*
Israel is anything but doomed, and you are totally deluded.

Can you disprove any of the history I have provided?  Can you disprove that the Jews bought undeveloped land from the palestinians -- not occupied, BOUGHT IT?!?!?!?!  Can you disprove that Arafat was a terrorist pocketing an and all aid the U.S. gave to the palestinians?  Can you disprove anything I have said or is your whole argument that it's all a lie?  There are legal documents and reports from commissions of educated unbiased people that prove what I am saying is true!

You are right this whole argument is beating a dead horse.  I have my truth and you have yours.  Your truth is a web of lies spun by known terrorists.  Time will tell whose truth is the real truth and I pray for your soul when that day comes.

If the Big 3 fail........... Or the Big 2.... sm
I guess it should technically be called as Ford isn't asking for any money right now, then when the March deadline approaches and they are not able to show a viable plan to the White House, I guess it could be considered a bailout which will only end up postponing the inevitable and costing the tax payers money. In my opinion, there is really no difference.
It never goes to fail
If there is something negative about a democrat the dems always blame "the right wing" or "that reporter is a conservative", but the left wing media trashes a republican and that's okay. The dems say "oh he's just a reporter giving his insight".

This one sidedness is so unfair and quite nauseating.
LOL....I think I would fail on all counts (sm)
as well as on grammar and my inability to multitask.  I was talking on the phone when I wrote that last post, looked back at it after I posted it and was astounded.  LOL
What you fail to realize.....
is our leaders need to have private jets and helicopters (the helicopters, btw, were ordered by W) for their own protection. They have to fly more than one or with a squadron for protection. When they drive, it is a squadron of identical vehicles, so no one can identify which vehicle the govt personnel is riding in. We need to heal the wounds with our allies that W created. "Yur either with us or against us!" What cowboy horsesh*t. We need to restore some class to our govt - because of the crude, retarded way things were handled for the last 8 years.
That being said, what they fail to remember is this.....
Most of these programs are only going to be good for something like 2 years. So a state goes ahead and takes advantage of this money. Yea!!! New jobs are created, new beurocracies are created to administer these new jobs. Then POOF....all gone, bye-bye. So now you have a program that is no longer any good. But you still have to jump through the hoops because you took the bait (money) and ran with it.

And everybody knows that once something is put in place by a gov't body, any gov't body, it never goes away. It just lingers around for the rest of our lives.

And for what it is worth, our governor here in MI said that any states that don't want their stimulus money can give it to us. We'll put it to good use.
I fail to see how trickle up would work any better....sm
A lot of people I know who got their stimulus checks used it to pay their bills, put gas in their car, and buy a few groceries...and if there's any left, stuff it in their mattress for a rainy day (which is probably next week or next month).

Please explain to us how trickle up is going to work. I don't see how that chicken is going to stimulate the economy much at all.
You fail to mention the fact.......
that the dems aren't going after the Bush administration for war crimes - proven war crimes. War crimes our country has executed people for in the past.
Geneva convention? What's that?
I too want Obama's policies to fail. If anyone...
listened to the whole interview with Rush they would understand what he was talking about. Don't want the country to fail, which is happening right now before our very eyes.
Reply - more liberal fail
Actually Cavuto didn't say Fox News. He said Fox.

Murdock and Fox have been in the business since 1985.

Conservative Spin Fail
Cavuto was directly addressing coverage by cable news organizations when he made those quotes, directly comparing Fox News to CNN and MSNBC. (Watch the video clips.)

And, unless they covered it on Married with Children or the X-Files, there was no "Fox" coverage of the Million Man March because the only news broadcasts on Fox at that time were provided by local affiliates from other networks, and that was at the discretion of individual stations. They did not have a national nightly news broadcast.
I see your point but you fail to see mine.

If we are reading stories to our 5 year old about a same-sex couple who raises a baby together....to me that suggests more than tolerance.  That is teaching acceptance that that lifestyle is okay and that is something I cannot condone.

I believe in God but others don't.  I would appreciate it if people would tolerate my religion as it is a part of me but they don't have to accept my religion.  That is their decision.  My faith and religion cannot be taught in schools or even on school property because it is a controversial subject nowadays and I have tolerated that and continue to keep my "preachings" out of public schools.  I would appreciate it as well if public schools would keep the teaching and acceptance of homosexuality out of public schools as well.

GT you fail to realize that you are not the only person with an opinion
Bush positives:

Saddam is gone.
The Taliban and Al Queda for all intenstive purposes are neutered.
The economy is booming despite all the major hurricanes.
Employment is up dramatically.
The Iraqis have a constitution.

These are but just a few.

What are the democrats doing besides witch hunts? Nothing of value for the country. No plans, no answers, just fingerpointing.

Bush is far from inept in my humble opinion, but of course, you don't validate anyone's opinions but your own.

No, Duck, not made up, and you fail to miss my point...
I think the dems are missing a LOT of points with Obama's plans for us...
They did not cause the housing crisis. They did, however, fail acknowledge the problem
and they most certainly failed to tackle the problem in a timely and effective way.

One of the major factors in the housing crisis was the repeal of Glass-Steagall and the implementation of Graham-Bliley Act. The lack of oversight, the deregulation that allowed lenders to lend without being subject to oversight rules because the type of financial institution they were doomed us.

The Bush administration backed off proposed crackdowns on no-money-down, interest-only mortgages years before the economy collapsed, buckling to pressure from some of the same banks that have now failed. It ignored remarkably prescient warnings that foretold the financial meltdown, according to an Associated Press review of regulatory documents. "Expect fallout, expect foreclosures, expect horror stories," California mortgage lender Paris Welch wrote to U.S. regulators in January 2006, about one year before the housing implosion cost her a job.

I am not a fan of Frank, Dodd, or Pelosi. I am not a fan of TARP, especially because there was/is no built-in oversight or accountability. Shoot, the some of the same predatory lenders that were put out of business by their own practices are up and running again, passing out toxic loans to desperate people, because they managed to get their hands on bailout money.
You fail to note that the Army Corp of Engineers....
is a federal entity and it was THEIR job to fix the levies, too bad W cut all the funding so he could play Monopoly in Iraq.
Either side can fail to deliver on promises. My only hope and prayer is that
I'm honestly not 100% sure either one of these candidates can do it so where do people like me fit into the picture? I'm not even sure I will be able to vote for either one, and that's based on my personal values. I don't feel Barack is the man, like many seem to, but I don't feel McCain is, either. I know I'm not alone. I don't believe socialized insurance is the answer, I believe in going after insurance companies that dictate what patients can have done and set premiums too high for people to afford and pharmaceutical companies that pay people off to push their drugs, whether it be doctors, groups, etc. I'd like to see all with tax cuts, not just big companies. Wonderful if they get a break for keeping jobs in the US, but that should be just one of many tax cuts for all, starting with taxes paid at the pump. What about public education? We pay fees and still have to buy extra books and other supplies for our kids' education, yet many children are less educated now out of public high school than ever before because they are too focused on the proficiency tests to actually teach a well-rounded fund of knowledge, so what are the proposals to fix that mess?

No matter who gets elected, they've got quite a job on their hands, and I sincerely doubt either will be able to live up to their promises. And no, I don't necessarily blame Bush for all the problems in this country, but rather I blame all presidents and congress, past and present. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being for the people, that's for sure, and more for their pocketbooks (both Dems AND Repubs). Since so many seem to see Barack as the second coming, I certainly pray that you are right, but I really doubt it. He's had zero experience so who is to say he won't buckle under the load once he realizes what he's gotten into? And McCain isn't my idea of perfection, either, so don't reply by bashing Republicans. I want to hear facts that aren't based on party views but honest-to-goodness facts on who has the best plan in line for these things. And how do you know who is being sincere and who is just making empty campaign promises?
Nope. Liberally-biased media wont let him fail.

Yes, agreed.
Will ignore them and not read them.  I feel better already.
Agreed
Of course not everyone feels the same, but there are a large enough number of current and former military that do feel that way. Not everyone thinks this was/is a valuable effort, and feel the cost is high, both financially and otherwise.
Agreed, but we need to take it one war
If we can't take on a little po-dunk country like Afghanistan and finish the job, then what on earth makes him think we can take on TWO countries simultaneously? (And we'll never finish the job in Iraq, either.) If we'd done what we SHOULD have done to Afghanistan after 9/11, we could have finished the job in a couple of days, and sent a HUGE 'Don't mess with us' message to the rest of the Middle East.

If she wants to play in the big leagues, she needs to act like she should be there. She is a total embarrassment and not qualified to be where she is.
Yes, I said that. I never said I agreed with everything...
McCain said. He, in fact, is not as conservative as I would like him to be. I don't agree with every word that rolls out of his mouth (unlike Obama fans). I certainly see there are flaws. However...none of them come minutely close to Obama's flaws. So, yes, I am supporting him. Do I live to hear or hang on every word that falls out of his mouth...no.

You just can't keep from ridiculing can ya? Is it part of your DNC DNA?
Agreed.
that in the 11th hour of the campaign, the conservative base trots out a token black intellectual elitist, the likes of whom out of the Obama camp they have been trashing for weeks now as being socialist/communist, terrorist "elite" (in a 4-letter word context) Anti-American militants. Mr. Sowell makes a mockery of his own credentials by endorsing the gloom and doom Armageddon you have been hawking ad nauseum for months and months, all falling on deaf ears, thrusting McC poll numbers into a deep plunge and turning off their own party members who are defecting over to the other side in droves. You are preaching to the choir here and that's fine. Nothing wrong with that, except to say the ones you need to be "ENERGIZING" would be the undecideds who have resoundingly rejected these scare tactics in a preference to embrace the simple notion of hope...and still you haven't caught on.
Agreed.

But I doubt we will stay out of it.  In fact, this act is probably right on schedule to help Bush with his martial law plan.  All we "need" is another attack to "help" it along.

I understand the desire of some to never turn our backs on Israel.  What if Israel has a corrupt, deadly government that commits heinous deeds that are against everything the Bible stands for?  Do we support that kind of government or do we support the people who inhabit the land of Israel?

As we've seen from our own recent election, sometimes there's a big difference between a government and its people.

Just wondering.

Of course, all the leftists here will come out of the woodwork to profess how open-minded and non-judgemental they are.

Yet these are the same bitter, spiteful vipers who took tremendous glee in pouncing on Palin and jeering at McCain.

I cannot believe how self-righteous they have turned lately.

The 'bandwagon' has become an armored tank.

Can't wait for the pendulum to swing back to sanity after the next four years of this lousy social experiment.

Yeah, I was the first to snap during the posted farewell to Bush below.  I apologize.  Regardless of my opinions of Bush, I should have shown more respect for those who thought differently and should have just not said anything at all.  Thankfully, you have shown me what a butt head I was.

I appreciate your post, as should others, from both sides, and I join you in the hope for prosperity for all.

But no one condemned it.  It's like that movie, the Accused.  Those who stood and watched were as guilty as those who raped the girl. It's a comment on today's society in general, no matter what your political persuasian.
Agreed about earning except
that is on a more personal level. People who come to our country need to respect us because they are our guests. As hosts, we do deserve respect. Anyone who disrespects their host is not welcome again, right? If you can't respect your host, then you need to excuse yourself and LEAVE.

As for our leaders, my personal opinion of Billie Bob C. is very low, in fact so low that it probably could not get any further down there and for reasons that should be self-evident. However, when he was my president I did respect his office, his right to govern, and his decisions in governmental matters. Though he was sadly lacking in integrity, he was the president, had more education than I do, and certainly more knowledge of foreign affairs. I gave him benefit of the doubt because he was the elected president of my country. I did not vote for him. I did not like him. I did not use him for a role model for young people. I was ashamed of him. I did respect his office and that is something that liberals could take a good hard look at in themselves. Do you really believe that everything that our government and president does should have full disclosure in the here and now? Do they need to run everything they do by YOU? That is pretty funny. The posts I see let me know that you believe you should have the final word on everything and that your way is the only way and that you are a one-person catalyst to change. That is admirable, but in order to be effective you need to take a look and investigate things more clearly and quit falling for the BS at the Kos and all those other pathetic sites. Do you ever look further? Do you believe everything everyone tells you? After you research more you may find that you will change a few of your beliefs. Seriously.

about thinking that the people that are responsible for all this, should pay for it. Like all the people who walked away with millions from these institutions, as well as running them into the ground. But how could they do that?

I hate the fact that the taxpayers will have to pay for it. Did you hear that Nancy Pelosi and the democrats have added something like a 50 million dollar social package to this bill? So their little socialist agenda will be met, and make us pay even more.

I just don't get it sometimes....it goes on and on and on.....

I only watched last night because Rush was going to be on and I wanted to hear what he had to say. I don't always agree with Rush, but I am interested in hearing what he says.

The thing I don't like about Hannity's show is the panel discussion. Meatloaf and Fran Drescher? Please!!!
