He has been heavily down on Bush on many issues, including immigration, his choice for justices, spending to name just THREE.  Do you think you can just say these things and get away with it?  You do, don't you.  Well, the true delusion and paranoia and LIES of the left revealed.  SAD, SAD, SAD.

As a matter of fact, I do ...
... and as a (rational) independent, I find it really important to know all sides of all stories.

And, until this alleged tape of Michelle Obama is released and proven to absolutely be her, you are basing all of this on really sketchy accusations made by a relatively unprofessional news outlet.

Wasn't enough learned yesterday, upon people ranting and raving about this Ashley Todd atrocity, that accusations should not be put forth as absolute truth until all facts are in?
As a matter of fact, I have been
working at a convenience store during my college years. That is precisely WHY I want stricter handgun control and regulations that would seek to keep illegal handguns off the street and out of the hands of criminals. Obama simply believes that states out to have the authority to regulate and that the fed govt should not impede initiatives that address gun-free zones. For God's sake, if we can ban cigarettes from the workplace, public buildings and restaurants (which smoker's didn't like a bit) surely gun-free zones aimed at public safety (particularly when it comes to protecting children) should not be out of the question.
As a matter of fact, yes it is (sm)

Actually the BBC is known for publishing both sides.  So, in this case you wouldn't necessarily go to who published it as much as who actually wrote it.  And the winner is.....

Former deputy assistant to President Bush

Yes, as a matter of fact I did....
feel that way on 11/3/08.  I also felt that way in 2000 when many dems (including myself) thought that Bush stole the election.  I was furious, but what was I going to do?  Leave the country?  Start a civil war?  No, I obviously, like the rest of the dems, had to just deal with the consequences, which we are seeing now.  This is not trying to slam Bush.  This is simply to show that there are huge differences in the parties that have, can and will be overcome.
As-a-matter-of-fact I do need it spelled out

Show me one piece of CREDIBLE evidence that Ayers is in any way associated with Obama's campaign or will be associated with his administration if he has one.  And please don't try to feed me stuff like he had a fund raiser for him.  Who was involved in McCain's fund raisers? Think they were all lilly white?  What about Bush and Cheney's deals?  Know much about Halliburton?

I doubt some of you would recognize a terrorist if they jumped up and bit you on the butt.

As a matter of fact, I do know what Mrs. Obama meant...
all you have to do is do a little research. Read the papers she has written. She was dead serious in what she said and she meant it..and the only reason she is proud of America now is her husband is running for President. People need to try to see through the spin. She has had the same feelings for years, they run deep, in she AND her husband. That is why they stayed in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years, unless you buy the ridiculous story that they went there for 20 years and never heard a "sermon like that." Anybody who really believes that...I have 10 acres of prime real estate (in a Louisianna swamp) I would like to talk to them about.

Laura Bush is just a nice person and would not say anything negative about anyone if her life depended on it. She never said a bad thing about the people who have said very mean, hateful, personal things about her family. I would not expect her to say anything else.

Good grief...John Edwards. Now there is someone to make a quote about two Americas. Any idea what size house he lives in? Gets $300 haircuts? Made millions suing people and channeling dead kids to do it? He is as bad as the people he points fingers at. And he came from poor folks. He should KNOW better. I don't see him living in a smaller house, driving a smaller car, rebuilding New Orleans or anything else with his millions. Yet has the gall to point fingers at corporate America and people BUY that false sincerity. Sheesh!!

Yes, there are bigots. There are black bigots, white bigots, red and yellow bigots. Bigots come from all races. Racists come from all races.

I am not ashamed, nor have I ever been ashamed, to be an American. It is not the country's fault some goofballs live in it. Just like it is not the black race's fault that some of theirs are bigots and racists. Just like it is not every Caucasian's fault that slaves were held 200 years ago, especially Caucasians living now. That needs to be put to rest and the chip needs to come off the shoulders. It would serve us all well to remember that while some Caucasians did enslave people, other Caucasians stepped up and went to war, fought and died in partial reason to abolish said slavery. And if those said Caucasians had not stepped up, it would not have happened. And lest we forget one little tidbit of information...slavery was in existence long before America was. And who did the Dutch traders buy said slaves from? Other blacks who enslaved their own people. All that being said, slavery IS wrong, and thousands of Caucasians fought died to abolish it. So can we please move on?

As to religion...again, good grief! This country was founded by people seeking religious freedom. This is the most "religiously free" country on the face of the earth. The only religion discriminated against in this country is Christianity. Muslims can do whatever they want, wear whatever they want, practice openly, even in school. Christians can't. Buddhists can...Christians can't. And "pure hatred" for anyone who is not in their club...there are offshoots of ANY religion who are kooks. And there are many fewer hate mongers that call themselves "Christian" and give us all a bad name...than there are in other religions. Islam sees no way but their way. They may say otherwise, but their Koran tells a different story. When was the last time Christians went to war for religion? As far as I know, THIS country has NEVER gone to war over religion. And as to the Crusades, yes, that was done in the name of religion. But what people also conveniently forget why...because Muslims were running across Europe killing everyone in their path who did not convert, and aimed to set up shop in Jerusalem, and slaughter as many Christians as they could on the way. Back in the day Christians did not feel like they could let that happen. I sympathize.

All that being said...Obama's problem is not that he is black, although if he is not elected that is what the racists will say. Just like Hillary's people are saying she did not get the nomination because she is a woman. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I would have the same problem with Obama if he were red, yellow, or green for that matter. I don't believe him, I don't trust him. I don't think he has enough experience and the people advising him do not make me feel any better about it. If you look at his voting record, he is one of the most liberal senators, if not THE most liberal. Now he is trying to move to the middle because he wants to be elected. You do not change your whole life-long way of thinking overnight.

Friend, as long as there are human beings there are going to be bigots. There are going to be racists. You will not change that. These are the people who don't have the ambition or drive to work to get ahead and want to blame someone else for their lot in life...whether it is pity me because I am black, pity me because I am poor and white, pity me because the rich people have all that money and I have nothing, and on and on an on and on. You either rise above it or you wallow in it. Nowadays minorities do have it over Caucasians, so the chip really should come off. So we have affirmative action for poor white kids? Uh...no. Do we have special college programs for poor white kids?Uh....no.

When was the last time you had a person of color thank you for your great grandfather dying at Gettysburg? When have you EVER heard that? When have you ever heard one of the black politicians of today say ANYthing about whites during the civil war being willing to split their country and die on the battlefield in part to emancipate slaves and abolish slavery? I personally have yet to hear it. They want to talk about the whites who enslaved them, but they sure don't want to talk about the whites who died to set them free. Now you tell me...is that or is that not racist?

That being said...I think a person should help their fellow man and everyone should have an equal shot, no matter WHAT their color is. And that includes...gasp...caucasians.

Another thing you might do...check your history. The Democratic Party, during the civil war, right after it, up until 1964 tried its dead level best to keep black people from being able to vote. Not until the voting rights act of 1964 were all restrictions lifted. Lyndon Baines Johnson said, as he signed it into law: "We (Democrats) may have lost the south forever (meaning the votes of southern white Democrats...now there is/was a racist group). But, the Democrats had to think fast about how to rebuild the base...and how do they do that? Well, enter Lyndon Baines Johnson and the War on Poverty....and entitlement programs out the kazoo. And there was born the new Democratic base to take over for the old one...and the fact that the Democratic party had been the ones with the foot on the neck of black people for 100 years was forgotten.

How many black people today do you think even KNOW that? I would venture not many, as it is no longer taught in school and revisionist history has taken over.

All that being said...I think it is time to put that away and not continue to hold it over the head of every American, especially since the wrong was righted by Caucasian folks on civil war battlefields and the Republicans (Abe Lincoln was one) then and right up until the voting rights act of 1964 hammered at the Democrats until they gave in. But you don't hear much about that anymore do you? No,not a peep. All you hear about is racist America, and most folks think Republicans were responsible all along, which is a bold-faced lie. History does not lie. Check it out.

That is why I LOVE this country and her people, black and white, yellow and red. Because for all the griping, all the poor pitiful me's, all the excuses, there are those who are still willing to put their lives on the line for this country and her people. God bless them, I say. They are the fabric which holds us together. God forbid that at least some of us will always remember that and be grateful.

Yes, I love my country. I am proud of her history, her start, and my heritage. My country has never disappointed me, though some of my fellow citizens certainly have and continue to.

When it became me, me, me, instead of we, we, we....sigh.
As a matter of fact, it did. And I don't live in India.
Job security....yes. I am working for the same company I was then. Standard of living? Has maintained throughout. Savings? I have always put a certain amount of paycheck into savings. That has not changed. I am sure there are many whose experience is not mine; I suspect there are many whose does. That could be said about any 4- or 8-year period...
As a matter of fact, I work with a group...
who provide help and counseling to women/girls who find themselves in this position. We have referrals for adoption if that is the choice the person makes. If the person elects to keep the child (and I am pleased to say very many have), we have several agencies which help with that. We have businesses who will provide jobs. We have housing referrals. And we do not stop supporting once the baby is born. We have a network of volunteers who will help with babysitting while the mother works until she can afford daycare. And most of the girls who make the decision to have and keep their child are very motivated to provide for that child. If it takes a week, a month, or a year, we help with that. We have had girls come in after an abortion wanting to talk to someone and we try to help those girls cope. The abortion providers are nowhere to be found when the regret sets in. And often times, it does set in. I am also glad to say that some of those girls have joined us as volunteers. So I do put my money where my mouth is. It is a very small fish in a very large barrel...but if one baby is not aborted, I consider it a victory.
As a matter of fact, I read it against last night.

Alleged link between 9/11 and Iraq

Examination of pre-war intelligence claims by Bush administration

MSNBC

Updated: 6:51 p.m. ET Nov. 11, 2005

David Shuster

MSNBC Correspondent

Just days after the 9/11 attacks, Vice President Cheney, on “Meet The Press,” said the response should be aimed at Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terror organization not Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

When asked if any evidence connected the Iraqis to the operation, Cheney said, no.

But during that same time period, according to Bob Woodward's book, Bush At War, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was pushing for military strikes on Iraq and during cabinet meetings Cheney, expressed deep concern about Saddam and wouldn't rule out going after Iraq at some point.

That point started to come 11 months later, just before the first anniversary of 9/11.

The president and vice president had decided to redirect their war on terror to Baghdad.  So, with the help of the newly-formed White House Iraq group, which consisted of top officials and strategists, the selling of a war on Iraq began and the administration's rhetoric about Saddam changed.

On September 8, 2002, not only did White House hawks tell The New York Times for a front page exclusive that Saddam was building a nuclear weapon, five administration officials also went on the Sunday television shows that day to repeat the charge.

He is, in fact actively and aggressively seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, Cheney told Tim Russert on “Meet The Press.

But the White House started claiming that Iraq and the group responsible for 9/11 were one in the same.

The war on terror, you can't distinguish between al Qaeda and Saddam when you talk about the war on terror, said Bush on September 25, 2002.

We've learned that Iraq has trained al Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases, said Bush a few days later on October 7.  He's a threat because he is dealing with Al-Qaeda.

In pushing the Saddam-Iraq-9/11 connection, both the president and the vice president made two crucial claims.  First, they alleged there had been a 1994 meeting in the Sudan between Osama bin Laden and an Iraqi intelligence official.

After the Iraq war began, however, the 9/11 Commission was formed and reported that while Osama bin Laden may have requested Iraqi help, Iraq apparently never responded.

The other crucial pre-war White House claim was that 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta met with a senior Iraqi intelligence official in the Czech republic in April 2001.

Cheney stated, It's been pretty well confirmed that he did go to Prague and he did meet with a Senior official of the Iraqi intelligence service.

Confirmed or unconfirmed by Vice President Cheney the 9/11 Commission said, We do not believe such a meeting occurred.  Why?  Because cell phone records from the time show Atta in the United States.

None the less, the White House strategy worked.  In March of 2003, one poll found 45 percent of Americans believed Saddam Hussein was personally involved in 9/11.

On the eve of the Iraq war, the White House sent a letter to Congress telling lawmakers that force was authorized against those who, aided the 9/11 attacks.

Yet the Bush administration continues to say it never claimed Iraq was linked to 9/11.

I think I made it very clear that we have never made that claim, White House Press Secretary McClellan repeated on Sept. 17, 2003.

The brutal irony is that while implications, innuendo, or false claims if you will about a 9/11 connection helped take us into Iraq.  The Iraqi war itself has created a real al-Qaeda/Iraq link that may keep us from getting out.

You're a liar. GT didn't curse. You're a filthy liar, but you are a gift from God.
God sent you here to as a constant reminder of the kind of person I DON'T want to be and if I ever have a bad day when I feel temporarily stupid, all I have to do is read your posts, and I realize there are those out there who are much worse off than I am and for them it's not temporary.
Yes, liar. You post 20 to my 1. Liar. nm

Isn't it time to watch Hannity or bowl or some other watch Nascar?
UR W T
The fact that an article was written does not make it fact. I hope you know that. nm

I don't watch Fox, I watch CNN and feel the

You are a liar. SM
I'm glad to say it and it is true.  As far as Iraq, of course, you twisted that all out of context.  Lurker asked if I would go to Iraq to help rebuild and I said yes, if I could I would, but please don't tell the truth and continue to twist because you are twisted.  Now, that felt good to FINALLY call you a liar.   You have used that word with every conservative poster and we are all pretty darn sick of it.
Liar.

Liar?
A conservative calling someone a liar?  Pot-kettle-black
Once a liar, always a liar!!!!
.
Liar, liar

Politicians lie.  Is everyone just figuring that out?  Why get into an argument over who's lying.  Just tell me what you're going to do for me, how I'm supposed to pay my mortgage when you keep sending my job overseas, how I'm supposed to send my kids to college when you keep sending my job overseas, how I'm supposed to pay these ridiculous prices for gas when you keep sending my job overseas.

The first guy that can do that without mincing words and blaming everything on the other gets my vote.  I don't care what color you are, whether you screwed around on your wife, who you have in your back pocket, whether your running mate is an old fart or a woman.

GW is a liar.........
So I guess that makes him a fake, too. WMDs, he really gave a rat's about Katrina, billions of dollars just "vanished." Harriet Myers for supreme court??? LOLOLOLOLOL - at least Obama isn't a freaking moron!
What a liar!

President Obama gave a speech in Illinois saying that if we pass this stimulus bill that the CEO of Caterpillar promised to hire back employees.  After Obama's speech, the CEO of Caterpillar got up and said that he just wanted to clarify that whether or not the stimulus package passes, they will continue to lay off people for some time and this hire back will be further in the future and I'm sure that means if this package actually works.....which it won't.

I'm sorry people but this stimulus will not work.  Obama promised to look out for the middle  class and the low class.  So far, he is doing nothing but helping the low class and he is going to crush us middle class folk.  The rich will survive but it will be the middle class that suffers.....once again.

If a certain poster is a liar...
(or if anyone is, from the president right on down)...and of course this is fully documented and there is no question about it...and then they ask us to believe a claim of high personal integrity...well, er, that's asking a little too much. One has to wonder, do they believe their own delusions? Do they really think the house of cards is never going to crash down? Or do they just want us to think it?

Personally I prefer a far less complicated arrangement. You intentionally lie, you are bad and no one should respect you anymore until you learn how to tell the truth.
I don't appreciate you calling me a liar
and neocons liars in general (BTW, I'm not a neocon), and I refuse to discuss the gross inaccuracies in the article above with a person who thinks we're all liars. It's blatant waste of time.
Again with the liar. Sheesh is right. NM

Would a liar know the truth if they saw it? sm
Nahhhhhhhh....I don't think so.  Besides, you continue to skew things.  Some of us know that.  You aren't fooling anyone.
No, my dear, YOU are the liar.

Scarborough's record is public and well known.

So is the objectivity and blatant refusal to ever tell the truth of Bush and his worshippers.

Bush isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.  I can see why you love him.

Why don't you go back to the CON board?  You're showing your colors more and more with each post, and they ain't a pretty sight.

Wow, did I say Liar. I really meant sm
deluded liar.  Yes, that's much better.
YOU'RE THE LIAR.

And so is anyone who can claim to *see* how someone she's never met will celebrate any holiday.

If you want to go into lying....Your #2 guy...we KNOW he is a liar...
so what is the difference? It is on tape and video that he said he would be proud to be on a ticket with John McCain. Certainly not the story he is telling now, is it? So he was lying then or he is lying now. Either way...he's a liar.
What do you expect from a liar?
He's been caught lying through his teeth so what else is there to do but lie? He seems to get by with that easily......

http://www.infowars.com/?p=6463
A consistent liar.

"I was astonished to hear him say that he was surprised I 'didn't have the guts' to do that, because the fact is, the question didn't come up in that fashion," McCain said of the last debate. "I think he's probably ensured it will come up this time."

McCain made clear that he still thinks it's an issue. "It's not that I give a damn about some old washed-up terrorist and his terrorist wife, who in 2001 said they wish they'd bombed more. What I care about, and what the American people care about, is whether he's being truthful."

The consistent problem I see with Barrack Obama is that these sketchy associations pop up and he denies them and then when proof is made that he did know these people or associated with these people or organizations, he will then admit that he did.  Like McCain said.....it isn't even the fact that he has associations with these people.....it is the fact that he consistently denies stuff and then turns around and changes his story.  That is lying.  He is consistently lying.

Ayers was just a guy in his neighborhood until proof came out that they were on a committee together etc.  Obviously not the truth, Mr. Obama.  Why not be truthful if it wasn't a big deal.

Rev. Wright never said anything like that in the 20 years he went there.  Sure...I don't believe that either.  As well as the fact that when Rev. Wright was first initially in hot water, Barrack Obama said that he could no sooner denounce Rev. Wright as he could family.  Later Barrack denounced him to save his political career.....so another lie from BO.

Acorn....he was not associated with Acorn and now he was their lawyer at one time.  He trained their employees.  He gave them 800,000 dollars........not associated my rear end.....another lie.

Do you not see a pattern here........lies lies and more lies.

He will look out for the middle class.......lies.  He will given 95% of people tax breaks when not every person pays taxes to begin with........lies.........lies...........lies............lies........HELLO......LIES.

BARRACK OBAMA IS A LIAR!!!!!!

I am concerned if HE IS A LIAR! -and he does lie
nm
thanks for calling me a liar --

on your party as I am a registered democrat -- got my "Are you supporting Obama?" call just last week.  I told her then that I was undecided, but over the last few days, I have finally come to a decision.  I'm voting McCain.

Your immaturity disproves your credibility (are those words too big for you?).

YOU LIAR, LAUGH YOU $$ OFF...s/m
What are you going to say when you appear in front of God?
With all your lies and being a hypocritical smarta$$???

We'll see who laughs last.
LIAR!
Liar and a crook
As a long time IC there is no way he could forget to pay his self employment taxes...no way at all.  I use one of those at home programs and there is a screen for you to input that you are an independent contractor and then it fills out the self employment part.  He knew but he just did not pay and got away with it.  The IRS even took off his penalties and interest for 2003 and 2004.  THey wouldn't do that for you or I. And he didn't pay them until he knew he was being nominated.  He's a crook plain and simple but Obama's government is going to be different???  Yeah, right...crooks and thieves all of them.
But calling me a liar when you know nothing about me is...
so mature. At any rate, I did not make bad decisions. We bought the house three years ago (at the height of the market) and still paid less than it is worth today--in a West Coast state, no less. I would say that our decisions were just fine. And we did it without family money. My investment is sound and I will be fine. I just don't care for the fact that people who are defaulting on loans can refinance at lower rates, but if you are a responsible person who pays on time every time, you are SOL. This should irritate you, as well, if what you say is true. My big point was that even though my property assessment by the state went down in value, we will still b e paying more in taxes this year. That was it. And no, I am not lying.
A Two-Faced Liar? Aw-RIGHT!

Obama Is a Two-Faced Liar. Aw-RIGHT!

by: Greg Palast, t r u t h o u t | Perspective

Republicans are right. President Barack Obama treated them like dirt, didn't give a dam what they thought about his stimulus package, loaded it with a bunch of programs that will last for years and will never leave the budget, is giving away money disguised as "tax refunds," and is sneaking in huge changes in policy, from schools to health care, using the pretext of an economic emergency.

Way to go, Mr. O! Mr. Down-and-Dirty Chicago pol. Street-fightin' man. Covering over his break-your-face power play with a "we're all post-partisan friends" BS.

    And it's about time.

Frankly, I was worried about this guy. Obama's appointing Clinton-droids to the Cabinet, bloated incompetents like Larry Summers as "Economics Czar," made me fear for my country, that we'd gotten another Democrat who wished he were a Republican.

Then came Obama's money bomb. The House bill included $125 billion for schools (TRIPLING federal spending on education), expanding insurance coverage to the unemployed, making the most progressive change in the tax code in four decades by creating a $500 credit against social security payroll deductions, and so on.

It's as if Obama dug up Ronald Reagan's carcass and put a stake through The Gipper's anti-government heart. Aw-RIGHT!

About the only concession Obama threw to the right-wing trogs was to remove the subsidy for condoms, leaving hooker-happy GOP Senators, like David Vitter, to pay for their own protection. S'OK with me.

And here's the proof that Bam is The Man: Not one single Republican congressman voted for the bill. And that means that Obama didn't compromise, the way Clinton and Carter would have, to win the love of these condom-less jerks.

And we didn't need'm. Nyah! Nyah! Nyah!

Now I understand Obama's weird moves: dinner with those creepy conservative columnists, earnest meetings at the White House with the Republican leaders, a dramatic begging foray into Senate offices. Just as the Republicans say, it was all a fraud. Obama was pure Chicago, Boss Daley in a slim skin, putting his arms around his enemies, pretending to listen and care and compromise, then slowly, quietly, slipping in the knife. All while the media praises Obama's "post-partisanship." Heh heh heh.

Love it. Now we know why Obama picked that vindictive little viper Rahm Emanuel as staff chief: everyone visiting the Oval office will be greeted by the Windy City hit man who would hack up your grandma if you mess with the Godfather-in-Chief.

I don't know about you, but THIS is the change I've been waiting for.

Will it last? We'll see if Obama caves in to more tax cuts to investment bankers. We'll see if he stops the sub-prime scum-bags from foreclosing on frightened families. We'll see if he stands up to the whining, gormless generals who don't know how to get our troops out of Iraq. (In SHIPS, you doofuses!)

Look, don't get your hopes up. But it may turn out the new president's ... a Democrat!

I never called anyone on these boards a liar. SM
That word is used and abused by many on this board though. Not by me.
The liar ticker is off the hook on that one. sm

You aren't doing that though. So that makes you a liar. nm

He is a chauvinist, a racist, and a liar, but at

You are a liar, pure and simple

While parts of this may be from a court brief, they are taken wholly out of context and your entire posting is a cut and paste from a neocon website article.  Time to 'fess up!

Your source of "facts" will always be totally different from the liberal board's source of facts so we are never going to agree on much of anything in general.  SO therefore we cannot debate.

Calling me a liar, saying out of context...
yet you totally ignore the portion that said Plame was not covert at the time Novak printed her name. There is only one way to read that. And you call me a liar. What a twisted, twisted set of values you have.
Nope. Did not use the word liar.
I do not believe your protestations. But I did NOT say you are a liar. Suffice it to say, as you so eloquently put it under which moniker I do not remember, you were tired of the game. So am I. Ok, I should not have said everyone...you are not fooling me. I don't believe you. But because someone does not believe something does not make it a lie. You know and Lifelong Democrat knows whether I am correct or incorrect in my belief, and that is all that matters anyway, right? Why should you protest so strongly? Why do you even care what I believe or what anyone else believes for that matter? Food for thought.

So let's just let this die a not so graceful death, shall we?
You have a lot of room to call someone else a liar...
I saved the conversations, so I know the truth and that is what is important. You have lied so long under so many monikers to so many people you wouldn't know the truth if it bit you.

I did not lie about the bashing thing. I am not bashing you and I never said you email stalked me or threatened me, that was another poster. However, I WAS emailed in nasty, nasty terms when I was silly enough to give someone from this board my email address. It could have been you under still another moniker. I don't know that to be a fact.

Geezzz...talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You lied about being Taiga and Teddy until you slipped up yourself, and I have those conversations saved. I don't know if they are in the archives or not, as many posts were deleted, but I have them...I know you, Taiga/Teddy, in all your chameleon monikers and personalities...and you KNOW I do.

As you said...WHATEVER. lol.
