Just as the actions of an irresponsible teen can take the whole family down, he is putting everything the US once to valued in jeopardy.

Your kid has a drunken car accident, whether or not you handed him the keys, and whose financial neck is on the line due to his youthful indiscretion?  Who didn't supervise him properly?  How did he get hold of the keys?  How did he sneak out of the house without being heard?  Where did he get the alcohol?

And who feels morally responsible for the damage he may have done to some innocent bystander?  Often not the kid, who was only giving in to peer pressure and who may blame all of this on a series of ''bad breaks.''  (Sad but true, parents who set the precendent by getting their child out of a series of minor scrapes are shocked when the really big incident happens.) You are the one legally responsible and the one who may be wracked with guilt over it.  You stand to lose everything you own.  He may spend a little time in juvie, and getting a paper route or a McJob is really not going to do much toward making restitution.

Obama is heading toward his own car wreck, egged on by his delinquent buddies in congress, and unless we lock up the car keys and ground him (we are long past time-outs) we will have only ourselves to blame when somebody gets hurt.
