He is registered - but we do not have a draft so it does not matter -

They no longer draft people. To be honest, I think they should though. The military is made up of poor people who feel that is their only option. I bet if we got some of those rich boys in the army putting their butts on the line, then a lot of decisions that are made at this point would be made differently!!!

but we do not have a draft anymore, so it does not matter!
On Jan. 27, 1973, Secretary of Defense Melvin R. Laird announced the creation of an all-volunteer armed forces, negating the need for the military draft.

draft
Yes, there will be a draft, its inevitable, and that urks me to the core.  I have a friend who went to Canada to avoid Vietnam and he is still there as a teacher..and believe me, if anyone wants my help in the coming draft, they got it. Using 9/11 as an excuse for this war bugs the crap out of me..I grew up in NYC, the WTC and all of Manhattan and Brooklyn were my stomping grounds..Relatives on my mother's side of the family still live there.  I moved to CA with my then husband 20 years ago (going back to NYC hopefully within a year or two) and when 9/11 happened, it tore my heart apart.  I wanted so to be there, to put my hands in the dirt of the WTC, to help in any way I could..My cousin who lives in Brooklyn could see the smoke when she looked out over the water, my friends in Wesley Hills and Nyack, NY had debris on their lawns..To use 9/11 for political gain makes me want to vomit..My cousins daughter worked at the WTC for a Japanese bank, she was on floor 42 when 9/11 happened..She got out okay and now works in New Jersey for the same bank..9/11 is sacred and should never be used for political gain..It just shows the character of these creeps..MQ had a worker that was flying back from Massachusetts..She was scheduled for a later flight but the airline told her and her daughter there was an earlier flight.  The mother, the MQ worker, decided to take the earlier flight, the daughter remained at the airport.  That earlier flight turned out to be the first flight to hit the WTC.
I have not seen a draft yet.
Everyone that is in Iraq joined the military of his/her own free will. Many, after the war started.
she HAD registered
and later found on the Maricopa county web site that her registration was listed as "active and eligible." This is just one weird thing. I guess I was wondering about why they would offer a provisional ballot if it doesn't count anyway.
JM = 2 cars registered; CM = 11 cars registered ------->> sm
John McCain can't even raise his arms above his shoulders to comb his hair. He barely drives, if at all. Cindy does most of the driving, as she has said in the past.

Cindy is a multimillionaire. John is not.

So what?

Doesn't anyone wonder how Barack and Michelle Obama gets to and from work and kid stuff with only one car?

My bet is someone has limo service paid by the tax payer.

Maybe JM does too, who knows and who cares??????

This story is a whole lot of nothing, designed to make all the little people (of which I am one, although doesn't bother me).....up in arms because someone with a rich wife has a lot of money and a lot of cars.

SO WHAT!!!!!!!

Sheesh.....like this is really newsworthy......

LOL...Casper has definitely been registered...
if ACORN had anything to do with it. Good one, Kaydie.
I am registered pub but only 1 time

voted straight ticket. I always vote for whomever I think is the best man for the job. Like or not, I guess you could call me independent.

You are so against pubs and for O no matter what he does, I think you had better start reading up on his history before you start blasting everyone that didn't vote for him. Those people that didn't vote for him, me included, used our heads. We looked at his background. He was not qualified for the office. That's the main reason why I didn't vote for him.

It doesn't matter to you who was the best man, it just mattered if it was O. You should start voting with your head instead of your heart as all patriotic Americans  do, instead of listening to promises made and broken all the time as O is doing right now. All you do is bash anyone against O, but if you would look at his history, you would see some eye-popping problems. At first, I thought he may be the candidate for change, but when I thought about it and delved into his history, I was wondering how much it was going to cost our country in dollars, and especially in freedom.

Well......we got change, didn't we?....and it hasn't been very good change at that so far. He's weak and he favors speeches over action -----except where spending money is concerned. He pushed through legislation even though most of the people didn't want it and got our country in debt so that our grandchildren will still be paying for it for years to come.

FYI, anyone in the Congress and Senate if they have been there 5 years or longer don't deserve our votes. They have no idea what the real Americans are going through and that is why I wish I lived in all 50 states....to vote those who don't look out for the people.... out of office.  I'm talking mainly about Pelosi, Dodd, Frank, and those who voted for these stimuls/TARP plans that do nothing for permanent jobs, which includes O and McC.

Our country is going down the drain and all you can think about is O. I don't understand your thinking.

You better wake up before it's too late....and this is my last post on this matter.

Is this what it has come to, a bunch of draft dodging, sm
stay-at-home politicians calling decorated war veterans cowards. They have their nerve.

I have been out of the loop lately with politics, but this tops all.
Draft System To Be Tested...sm
Military Draft System to be Tested
Body: Associated Press | December 22, 2006

WASHINGTON - The Selective Service System is planning a comprehensive test of the military draft machinery, which hasn't been run since 1998.

The agency is not gearing up for a draft, an agency official said Thursday. The test itself would not likely occur until 2009.

Meanwhile, the secretary for Veterans Affairs said that society would benefit if the U.S. were to bring back the draft and that it shouldn't have any loopholes for anyone who is called to serve. VA Secretary Jim Nicholson later issued a statement saying he does not support reinstituting a draft.

The Selective Service readiness exercise would test the system that randomly chooses draftees by birth date and the network of appeals boards that decide how to deal with conscientious objectors and others who want to delay reporting for duty, said Scott Campbell, Selective Service director for operations and chief information officer.

We're kind of like a fire extinguisher. We sit on a shelf until needed, Campbell said. Everyone fears our machine for some reason. Our machine, unless the president and Congress get together and say, 'Turn the machine on' ... we're still on the shelf.

The administration has for years forcefully opposed bringing back the draft, and the White House said Thursday that its position had not changed.

A day earlier, President Bush said he is considering sending more troops to Iraq and has asked Defense Secretary Robert Gates to look into adding more troops to the nearly 1.4 million uniformed personnel on active duty.

According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, increasing the Army by 40,000 troops would cost as much as $2.6 billion the first year and $4 billion after that. Service officials have said the Army wants to increase its force by 20,000 to 30,000 soldiers and the Marine Corps would like 5,000 more troops.

The unpopular war in Iraq, where more than 2,950 American troops have already died, complicates the task of finding more recruits and retaining current troops - to meet its recruitment goals in recent years, the Army has accepted recruits with lower aptitude test scores.

In remarks to reporters in New York, Nicholson recalled his own experience as a company commander in an infantry unit that brought together soldiers of different backgrounds and education levels. He said the draft does bring people from all quarters of our society together in the common purpose of serving.

Rep. Charles Rangel, a New York Democrat who has said minorities and the poor share an unfair burden of the war, plans to introduce a bill next year to reinstate the draft.

House Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi has said that reinstating the draft would not be high on the Democratic-led Congress' priority list, and the White House said Thursday that no draft proposal is being considered.

Planning for the Selective Service exercise, called the Area Office Mobilization Prototype Exercise, is slated to begin in June or July of next year for a 2009 test. Campbell said budget cuts could force the agency to cancel the test, which he said should take place every three years but hasn't because of funding constraints.

Hearst Newspapers first reported the planned test for a story sent to its subscribers for weekend use.

The military drafted people during the Civil War and both world wars and between 1948 and 1973. An agency independent of the Defense Department, the Selective Service System was reincorporated in 1980 to maintain a registry of 18-year-old men, but call-ups have not occurred since the Vietnam War.

What do you think?
Then I expect you to be the first in line for the draft.
Everyone has the right to protect themselves, their beliefs, religion, and country, but it seems that yours takes precedence over everybody elses and you can't seem to bring yourself to that level of understanding.

I don't have a stomach to being lied to and I especially don't stomach flippant remarks about my beliefs, as I have a right to protect them. Hatred is formulated. It has been formulating for years. Love turns to hate. Jealousy turns to hate. Intolerance turns to hate. Just give the right stir, formula 101.

2006 NIE report findings stated the the occupation of Iraq is creating more Islamic radicalism.

"An opening section of the report, “Indicators of the Spread of the Global Jihadist Movement,” cites the Iraq war as a reason for the diffusion of jihad ideology. The report “says that the Iraq war has made the overall terrorism problem worse,” said one American intelligence official."

Who's wearing the blind fold? Two hates to do make peace or tolerance.

I do know what the original SS draft looked like....
A great great uncle of mine was a friend of Roosevelt and was a long-time military man. He finally retired and went back to the midwest when Roosevelt called him and asked him to please come back to Washington to draft a plan for SS.

We are fortunate to have this to see and I can guarantee you it had nothing to do with freeloaders and moochers but was to look out for the older crowd. Yes, they were taking into account the average lifespan of a man and then their windows, so she could have money to help feed their children if he died early. This was in part because of the stock market crash where so many lost their life's savings. It was never never meant to be what it has turned into. Wealthy older Americans were not to have this money JUST because they hit a certain age. If they had money, they were not to draw SS, only those with extreme need.

Unfortunately, over the decades government has turned SS into anything but its intended use.
Both of my parents were registered Democrats....
I grew up in a Democrat household. That being said...my parents would not recognize the Democratic party as it is today. And they could not be classified as liberals, based on what I hear and see from those who call themselves liberals. I should be more specific I suppose...when I say "liberals" I am referring to those who post here who have identified themselves as liberals, and those I have seen in print and in the media who identify themselves as liberals. That is my basis. Really has nothing to do with registered Democrats...I have no way of knowing if the liberals who post here and identify themselves as such are registered Democrats. Color me confused because I was lamblasted by some who identified themselves as liberals, proceeded to tell me there were no true liberals in the Democratic party (well, that is news to them then, because many of them call themselves liberals). That is when I made the comment that it was hardly to understand what a liberal really was when there are those who define themselves as liberals who are also Democrats and those who define themselves as liberals and say there are no liberals in the democratic party. Yeah...that is a little confusing. However...that being said...when you see me post something about "liberals" I am talking about those I have come into contact with...either in my personal life, on this board, or in print or media...all who have defined themselves as "liberals." Certainly not everyone in the country...have not met them and have no idea what THEIR interpretation of liberal is. I just have to go with what I have experience with. That being said...in my personal life are two stepdaughters who define themselves as liberals, and we have lively debates, believe me. However, I see the same tendencies in them that I see in some here who define themselves as liberal. Doesn't mean we do not care about each other, because we do. We love each other through it. But those who do not have a personal relationship with someone with opposing view...seem to want to demonize the other side. We are all Americans...and we should be able to love each other through it. And as a country we are not doing that...we are doing the opposite, and letting people like Ann Coulter and AL Franken divide us even further...when we should be condemning both. That is all I am saying... :-)
I have no "party." I am a registered Independent.
And I look at more than how someone speaks. Obama has had 18 months to get polished and up to speed. She has had a couple of months. As far as running a government, if something happened to McCain Palin would surround herself with advisors, just like Obama has done...Biden for foreign policy, plus the other 300 he has on staff, and we get Obama on day one. I have no doubt she would do every bit as well as Obama would. There is more than giving a blazing teleprompter speech than running the country. She has ably run a state, balanced the budget and given refunds on budget surpulses to her constituents. You are not able to do that if you are stupid. Again, I have no party...but I am confident in John McCain and if, God forbid, something happened to him I would be confident in Sarah Palin. At least I know she does not have an agenda to turn this country into a socialist nightmare, and Barak Hussein Obama has demonstrated he wants to do that, it is evident in what he says he WILL do, and that is why NOBAMA, NO WAY, NO HOW.
I am a registered Independent for that very reason.
This is not about Democrat and Republican for me. If you study socialism, it nearly always evolves into dictatorship...Cuba...Venezuela...and it destroys the middle class. All you have in socialism are some haves at the top, now in government, and the have nots at the bottom. How is life in Cuba for the "middle class?"

Unfortunately, these folks are the only two we have right now. And I will not be responsible for putting a far left socialist in the White House.

Sarah Palin IS talking about giving the government back to the people, and that you should serve with a servant's heart. So far she still has that notion that public servants are elected to serve the public. And SHE is the one you want to throw under the bus. Good grief.
Are you registered to vote as Nanaw? nm
:p
unsure if registered to vote?
maybe you have kids, friends or neighbors that weren't sure?  can go to canivote.org and find out.  (info came through our post office).
I just read the draft of the bill on line...
the lenders are getting the bailout all right, but there are provisions in the bill about letting people in foreclosure get "modifications" so they can keep their houses. We are essentially buying the bad mortgages from the lenders, we the taxpayers. And then those folks who got those mortgages they really didn't qualify for and could not afford to begin with...can try to pay it back, which in and of itself is not a bad thing...however, the rub is the "modifications." I don't disagree with modifying the interest rate to the average others are paying...but there is a thing there that says "reduction of loan principal" as one of the options. I think that is going too far. I think they should have to pay back every dime they borrowed no matter how long it takes...becaue of they don't, WE have to. Sigh.
Fraudulent voting IS but they only registered names like
Obviously they cannot vote with those names. Also, the FBI is investigating so you dummy don't have to worry.
As far as a I know she should have registered 3 weeks ago. online or by mail...nm

Draft Dodger Cheney attacks War Hero
The words President Murtha are sounding pretty good!

DERRICK Z. JACKSON

White House plays chicken with a war hero

THE WHITE House is so deluded, it actually believes it can turn a soaring hawk into a scrounging chicken. Stung by the call by US Representative John Murtha of Pennsylvania to pull out of Iraq, Scott McClellan, President Bush's press secretary, said this week, ''It is baffling that he is endorsing the policy positions of Michael Moore and the extreme liberal wing of the Democratic Party.

Talk about playing the chicken-hawk card. A White House where most of the architects of war avoided combat in their own lives dared to associate two people who are worlds apart in world views. Moore made the anti-Bush ''Fahrenheit 9/11, which infuriated the right wing by breaking box office records for a documentary film. Moore was booed at the 2004 Republican National Convention.

Murtha is the 73-year-old recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for combat duty in Vietnam. He is a Democrat whose three decades in office are marked by support of President Reagan's policies in Nicaragua and El Salvador. Murtha was a top Democratic supporter of the 1991 Gulf War. He wants a constitutional ban on burning the American flag.

In a 2002 press briefing, former Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz termed the support of politicians like Murtha for the Pentagon as ''wonderful. In the 2004 vice presidential debate, incumbent Dick Cheney said, ''One of my strongest allies in Congress when I was secretary of defense was Jack Murtha.

For all those shows of patriotism, Murtha was skeptical about the rush to invade Iraq in 2003 of Iraq even though he voted to give President Bush the authorization to go to war. He publicly said Bush beat the war drums before building an international coalition. Murtha said he had not seen anything in intelligence reports that indicated an imminent threat. Murtha said Bush ''has put the country in such a box. He can say, 'You'll undercut me if you don't vote for this resolution.'

One month after the invasion, when no weapons of mass destruction had yet been found, Murtha warned that American credibility was at risk. By the September, the absence of weapons of mass destruction made him join the much more liberal House minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, in calling for Bush to fire the planners of the invasion. Despite the proclamation that ''we achieved a marvelous military victory, Murtha became increasingly frustrated with the chaos of the occupation. This summer, Murtha said administration officials were ''not honest in their assessment that they were winning the ongoing battle.

Finally, this week, Murtha unleased a scathing attack on Bush's Iraq policy. He called it ''a flawed policy wrapped in illusion. He said he believed military officials when he visited Kuwait just before the war and they showed him where American forces would be attacked by weapons of mass destruction when they approach Baghdad. But now, with no end to the killing in sight, he said, ''The US cannot accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily. It's time to bring the troops home. . .They have become the enemy.

Murtha talked about soldier after soldier he has visited in hospitals, wounded and maimed by the invasion. Yet, there's more terrorism now than there ever was and it's because of what? Is it because of our policy? I would say it's a big part.

In perhaps the most humble admission of his press conference, Murtha said, ''The American public is way ahead of the members of Congress.

This came the day after Cheney threw mud in the direction of critics who gave Bush his war authorization. Cheney accused them of making ''irresponsible comments. He accused them issuing ''cynical and pernicious falsehoods to make ''a play for political advantage.

He said, ''The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory -- or their backbone.

This was the same Cheney who gave us some of the greatest falsehoods of this generation with ''There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction . . . We believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons, and that we would be ''welcomed as liberators.

Murtha clobbered Cheney's words the next day, saying, ''I like guys who got five deferments and never been there and send people to war and then don't like to hear suggestions about what needs to be done.

This hawk still soars, above the scrounging chicken hawks.

I think some of those mice are running amok in her head. I used to respect her as a strong female role model in politics, but lately she has become just another aggressive, abrasive, cultish Demobot that I am totally sick of her. The more I get into politics, the more I am convinced we need a new system, this two-party system is antiquated and has become just sorry, elitist clubs, us versus them, as America's heart and soul deteriorates, we have become the new Roman Empire, writing our own end...starting with the wrong stimulus bill in this depression. Shame on them all. Sorry for venting, watching C-Span while I work all week!
they didn't vote - they registered to vote -
that is a big difference. The votes were not counted, they were stopped by the means in which they were supposed to be stopped - ID verification, address verification, etc. The cards were filled out by the ACORN workers and then given to the proper authorities to sort through.

The phony registrations were pulled out by the actual authorities. ACORN is just a middle man.

Both are beholden to special interests and the ruling class. A lot of people are oblivious to it, but there is a ruling class. The candidate I supported did confirm this, and so do a few of the candidates running on the third party tickets. Ever wonder why things never change and get worse, this is why.

There is a diary by a blogger on Daily Kos that explains it very well. It is very informative and worth the read.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/7/27/65732/1557/694/557641

what does that matter?

My nieces and nephews are raised by their white mothers... my grandson is being raised by a white mother and a white grandmother and a white great-grandmother, my stepchildren are being raised by their white mothers - that does not change the situation of how the world views these kids...  and it does not change how they view themselves.  Every one of the mixed kids in my family has a different answer for whether they are white, black, or biracial, and their answer does not necessarily go along with the color of their own skin.

I also think that being raised by a "white" grandmother was part of Obama's problem.  She was an older generation, still scared of black people, and she was teaching Obama to be "white" and when he got older he realized that he was not "white".  Because he looks like a black man, he obviously feels what a black man feels because he is treated in the world as a black man.

Yes, mixed children are beautiful - but they are "different" than us in that they are neither white or black and they are treated differently for that reason.  I hope that changes before my grandchildren get older, but so far, they are still expected to conform to being white or being black...

If a mixed child acts white, he is accepted by the white kids and taunted by the black kids, if he acts black, he is taunted by the white kids and accepted by the black kids.  The mixed children have to be taught from birth that they are a mixture of 2 heritages and to embrace both of them; but at this point, they still choose one or the other.

you can think all you want.....it just won't matter with him
!!
It does not matter! It is just that a man has sex with
a woman and a woman has sex with a man.
This is it! And this is right and normal !
Anything else isn't.

How can the government legalize it when it is morally wrong.

Again: I wished Miss California had won.

Would it matter?
Would it really change your mind? Or would you dismiss it away?

Have you ever read the Bible from start to finish with an open mind? Or even just the book of John if you don't want to devote that much time to it.

If you really want proof, try that. Seriously.
No matter how you try to say it, it's still
Since you're so concerned about teaching children right from wrong, it would be perfectly acceptable and should always be taught to children to never EVER call names, make fun of, or bully anyone! There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to even bring up the word 'homosexual' now is there?

If you teach a child not to bully or pick at anyone then you are teaching tolerance aren't you..... without even bringing up the word.

How hard is that to understand!?
What do you mean it does not matter?
Of course it matters. There isn't a draft registration if the intent isn't to SOME DAY have a draft!! Otherwise, what's the point in it? Use your head! It's to have a pool of young males to pull into govt wars!!!!

Just because we at this moment have a volunteer armed forces doesn't mean it will HAVE to stay that way.....

it can change on a whim!
What the heck does it matter to you
what happens on the conservative board.  Like most liberals you feel an innate desire to police everything everywhere as you and your uppity ilk are a lot better than everyone else...You have a board, stay on it, and have your nice little liberal tea parties over here.  I for one couldn't give a rat's ass what you think about the conservative board...you elitist control freaks...now can you TAKE that!
It's a matter of priorities.

Some people think taking people's lives in Iraq is more important than saving lives in America.  It's nothing new with this administration.

I believe every single person in this country is going to be negatively affected by this disaster, while Bush sits by and watches and just flashes that moronic grin of his, and Cheney and his Halliburton buddies get richer and richer.  Don't look for his followers to wake up and see this idiot administration for what it is.  Instead, look for them to become frustrated because their own lives will be falling apart, and look for the anger, hatred and rage on their part to increase.  Look at this board.  It's happening already, and it's only going to get worse.  Just wait.

Wussies? Why should it matter if someone is

a wussy or not on a political message board?  Is that your way of admitting that you're a bully?

It's a real shame that your mother didn't take the time to teach you how to treat people, didn't take the time to teach you manners.  She let a vicious animal loose on society, and that's really sad....for society.

It wouldn't matter what we said.
Their reaction would be the same.  I suppose I could have raged against a thousand perceived wrongs, assumed that everyone knew my history, and called a poster who dared to question -what makes you think we haven't- as some kind of insensitive heartless slam.  The real truth is much deeper and darker than that.  I am not quite sure why people choose to tell their deepest darkest secrets on chat boards.  Is it so that later on, someone might forget something they never knew, in order to attack that person with out of control fury, as some on this board are wont to do.  Of course, my sympathy goes out ot anyone who loses a loved one NO MATTER WHERE THEY WERE WHEN THEY DIED.  But perhaps my sympathy should be more reserved for those who feel the need to constantly attack, denigrate, misinterpret (deliberately?), hound, and judge those who challenge an ideal.  Having said that, I find some on here who post disturbed.  Merry Christmas to all.  My last post here.  If anyone cares to respond, I will not see it.
That's a matter of opinion.

No a matter of opinion is
the fact that you don't like the president, but overly demonizing him and lumping him in with an evil person bent on destroying Israel and the United States is blatant over dramatization.
It doesn't matter when. sm
The bill is about when and not now, meaning NOW, prisoners taken in war are dealt with by us.  The bill is about when Iraq becomes a full democracy and has nothing to do with who cares most about the soldiers.  This just caught my eye on the menu because it is wrong headed. And, if it were true, the media would be headlining it.  They aren't.
Here is the crux of the matter.

Embryonic stem cell research has been misrepresented.  To the gullible public, who will believe ads like the one Michael J. Fox put out there, ESC has become the panacea and cure-all for all time.  But it just isn't true. This quote from the article you posted, Brunson, is very important.

Reckless Hype and Overselling
Most of the campaign’s other ads have focused on “cures.” One shows a doctor saying that far from endangering women stem-cell research “could lead to cures for diseases that concern women like ovarian cancer.” Presumably the stem-cell treatment in question is bone marrow transplantation, an adult stem-cell technique widely in use for decades, and one in no way threatened by any legal barriers or related to embryonic stem cells or cloning. Another ad shows a pediatrician saying stem cells could help his patients, but offering no details. Another shows an Alzheimer’s researcher saying “stem cell research offers the promise of cures” for “so many devastating diseases like Alzheimer’s disease,” but offers no evidence to counter the near consensus in the field that this simply is not so. Many of these disingenuous ads repeat the claim that the initiative would ban human cloning, and none of the ads mention that all stem-cell research is already legal in Missouri and there are no prospects for that changing, or that the referendum would not support any new research.

******

We simply must educate ourselves and maybe, in the end, examine what our belief system is about life.  Morally and ethically I believe ESC research to be wrong. It will be the crowning touch down the long downward spiral we started on when we legalized abortion.

I will end with a quote from President Bush from the same speech I referenced in another post, where he was speaking to parents of adopted children.

(quote)The children here today remind us that there is no such thing as a spare embryo. Every embryo is unique and genetically complete, like every other human being. And each of us started out our life this way. These lives are not raw material to be exploited, but gifts. And I commend each of the families here today for accepting the gift of these children and offering them the gift of your love.(unquote)

In the end, it comes down to respecting life and God.  The decision lies with each of us.  I choose life.

It does not matter who votes for it or against it....
it is morally wrong. Because it is legal does not make it right. While I will obey the law of the land, as my faith teaches me to do, I will continue to speak out against a procedure that is murder, no matter who chooses it. See link if you do not believe that life begins at conception. View that and tell me that abortion is not killing a living baby and then defend it as right because someone chooses it. That choice is choosing to kill a child. The one portion of this. If you feel that a woman needs a choice of whether or not to kill a baby, so be it, that is your right and I respect your right to say it. I do not and will continue to speak against it, and I hope that you believe it is my right to do that as well. Some of us must speak for the most innocent who cannot speak for themselves.

It's a matter of opinion.

You were lying about your information being non-partisan.

As far as Plame being covert or not before the "leak" -- that is a matter of opinion.  Please do not state it as unassailable fact that was already outed.  Because something is listed as fact in a far right-wing publication does not make it true.  That's common sense lesson #1 for today....just as I would say because Michael Moore states something as fact also does not make it so.

Like I said, no matter how you try to twist it,

doesn't matter to me
I think my candidate could hold his own against either one of those, but everyone has to protect "poor Sarah." Frankly, I don't want a leader that has to be handled with kid gloves. Geez.
Doesn't matter. I will NOT be in ANY way...
responsible for putting Barack Obama in the White House. NO WAY. NO HOW.
Race does not matter to me....

I have always voted for dems regardless of race.  Had Hiliary made it through the primary, I would vote for her, even though I personally believe that our country is not ready a female to hold that position.  I speak from a female point of view and we are too often guided by our feelings and make rash decisions, but later end up regretting our action because we did not think it through.  I would love to have Bill back as our president, life was good and he worked for the people.
