I agree with you 100%. I too am not happy, but as I heard someone say - what are you going to do about it. What's done is done. However I find that even though the democrats won they are still so bitter they have to post horrendous bitter nasty posts about Palin and GW and us that supported the republican ticket. I'm thinking blimey! Give it a break. Your guy got in there, let it go. I'm like you. I want issues. I want to know what's going on, who is he picking for his cabinet, what is their experience, what promises is he going to keep and what promises is he breaking. I've already read that he broke one of his promises to get rid of (or re-do) the Patriot Act but now he's keeping that stronger than ever.
I come to read articles and post articles that show other points of view. I visit a lot of websites written by people in other countries and I'll tell you, there are not a whole lot of countries that are NOT in support of him (except our enemies that is). I agree with your whole post.

I keep reading more and more websites that say the Wetland project in SF IS in the bill. I've been trying to find a link that will give word for word what is in the stimulus plan but I can't find anything. Since you said it's not in the plan can you give me a link that shows what exactly is in the plan?

all along that there were no tax breaks for the under $250K crowd. It was a huge campaign stunt (similar to the Clinton gas credit that she thought if she said that people would vote for her) but this got way out of hand and there were/are some unfortunate souls who still believe what he spewed. I knew all along that the middle income (under $250K would have to pay more in taxes - NOT less). But for the unfortunate fools that bought into his stunt that you're not going to have to pay more or you'll get a break or pay lower, that's all it was...a publicity stunt. But I'm paying for it. I owe from last year (which I know is not the current admins fault so in no way am I placing blame on them for what I owe from last year (which is close to 4K), however, last year made the same amount as the year before and my taxes worked out fine the year before and I paid the same amount (and got money back), why not last years I have no idea.
However....with that said my taxes this year have more than doubled than what I was paying last year and with the tax hikes this current place is putting on everyone my tax lady said to expect my taxes to go up more and it might be a good idea to be sending extra so I don't get stuck with a huge tax bill at the end of the year again.
It's just very sad, and even worse that people will have to pay more but they don't care.

First and most importantly you do not have your facts correct. Sarah Palin and John McCain never once started any assassination conspiracies. I believe if anyone it was Hillary Clinton as the whole country heard her say it on camera.
Can you not grasp the difference between talks of assassination and candidates getting up talking in their rallies bringing up issues about their oponents (both sides). M/P got up and spoke about Obama's shady background, his friendships with the people like Ayers (a known terrorist), ACORN, Rev. Wright, etc, etc, etc. This list goes on and on and on. They spoke about Obama's viewpoints on abortion and his voting record. And Obama/Biden did the same thing. Whatever the supporters think up in their own minds is nobody's fault and you will have a few nuts who will say terrible things. But face reality - it is on both sides. There is so much hatred being spewed against Palin and her family for no good reason. You take one part of her interview and claim she can't make sentences but you ignore the fact that when Obama speaks it is usually with um, er, uh, um, um, er, um, etc. Then he can't even speak without pre-written speeches and teleprompters.
What I'm trying to say is there are violent people on both sides. You're coming off as though everyone who is supporting Obama/Biden are peaceful people that all just want to get along and have a big group hug. OH PLEASE!!! What that video showed you is that there are violent people who were trying to attack and overturn Palin's motorcade. And if they were successful they would have dragged her out and beaten her to death. Remember Reginald Denny? There are violent people are on both sides.
Also, the so called "thousands and thousands at a Palin rally" is a bunch of hooey. Never heard on tape and secret service reported they never once heard anyone yell anything against Obama that the Obama supporters are claiming they did. You can't make up something that didn't happen. Well actually you are making up something that didn't happen but it doesn't make it true.
As for Obama supporters "responding in kind". Oh please....the Obama suporters spewed nothing but hatred and lies against the M/P camp, AND we saw that in Obama's attack ads. As for negative campaigning. Both did negative campaigning. The first we saw of it was Obama. Look at what he did to Hillary.
As for the entire media/press...they were too busy having a love fest with Obama they got away from reporting news and kept spewing out their opinions. Lets talk about the liberal TV and radio stations (I watch them all). The liberal stations never reported one negative thing about Obama or Biden. Not one thing!!!!! Yet they kept badgering and spewing their lies and hatred against M/P - hence Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman were held back from reporting the main political stories - MSNBC & CNN lost a lot of viewers because of their vicious lies and not reporting facts anymmore.
As for saying Palin made a fool of herself. Well looks like you didn't even listen to anything she ever said. You probably only listened to what MSNBC or CNN reported about her. She has more experience as Governor than Obama has as a junior senator. And did more good things for her state and has around a 90% approval rating. And while she was doing this where was Obama? Sitting in a hate-filled sermons of Rev. Wright twice a month, having the terrorist Ayers jump start his political career. And hanging out with people like Rezco, Daley, and others. Truth is Palin was never given a fair chance by the media. Watching her interviewed by the people who wanted to see her fail was the worst journalism I have ever seen and those two (Couric and Gibson) should be fired. They have shown they have no journalistic qualities. Talk about getting a free ride - that's where they elevated Obama and Biden. Whenever Biden made a gaff (and BIG ones) they let him slide. They never gave Obama the tough questions. And they never reported on him saying there are 57 states. All that was conveniently pushed under the rug to try to be forgotten. So yes I found it very irresponsible that they treated Obama like he was king while they trashed Palin/McCain.
Like one poster said...if M/P won you would hear about assissination attempts coming from the Obama people. And still when I pull up article after article after article I am not seeing Palin supporting an assassination as you are trying to claim. I am however seeing Hillary's name come up time after time.
If you want to talk about behaving like a 5th grader look no further than the mirror. I am addressing issues and have been. I read all articles, listen to all TV/radio stations whether I agree or not. You're just repeating what I've already heard on the liberal stations and we all know they cannot be trusted to tell the truth. Maybe a bit of research would be a good thing. I've done it, but then again you have to have an open mind when reading articles.
Don't you get that ignoring facts shows how little you research, how biased one is hence none of your arguments are valid.

I understand how you feel. I wanted opinions the other day on the DEMOCRATIC candidates and it ended up being a Bush/Clinton war. There are reasons that there are liberal and conservative boards separately and not just a 'politics' board. Some days, I want to argue until I'm blue in the face about my beliefs - which is exactly what happens because we will all never agree - and some days I just want simple opinions about candidates from calm, informed people - not "electing Hillary will be the end of the world!" type stuff. Just know, I am with you and I have given up responding to these arguments because there will be no agreement. Can't we all just AGREE to DISAGREE?? That is exactly what I do with my father and my best friend and it works out fine!

Another predetermination of the reaction of Iranian people and another delusion that we will capture the *hearts and minds* of Iranians. Military officials threatening to resign if this idiotic plan continues to move forward.
As far as being public enemy #___ (fill in the blank), I'm sure I'm considered one of Bush's *enemies* (any American who thinks he's nuts). Russia (remember Putin's *soul* that Bush looked so deeply into and what it *revealed* to him) is on the side of the Iranians. Bush will singlehandedly get the Cold War SIZZLING. What an accomplishment, in addition to his other *achievements* during his reign as King George!
Americans apparently have no representation in Congress. They all seem to be paralyzed.
I'm looking at the bright side. I think I'll go get about a dozen credit cards and max them to the hilt! Won't be any creditors or debtors still alive and kicking by the end of the year at this rate! May as well go out with a BANG!

Over the last few pages or so of posts. Especially during the campaign. People who were against the O were bringing up issues and people who were for him kept slamming them with the whole race thing.
This forum has been infiltrated and taken over by mostly liberals/dems with a few conservatives and independents. Then anytime we post our opinions we are getting slammed within moments of posting.

I would have thought an O lover would be chomping at the bit to read that. He doesn't see the constitution as a "static" document but rather a living document that he should be able to change around at will to suit whatever seems to be going on in the country at the time. That is not the intention of the constitution. The originalists of the constitution put it in place as fixed and unwavering.....you know what that means? Probably not.
It means that the constutition does not promise "we will be rewarded and all good will flow." But this is exactly how Obama wants it...to have everyone believe they should have it good all the time and everything should be great and if not, change the constitution to suit your needs. That is not following the constitution. He believes it is just a piece of paper that should be changed at will whenever he chooses.
Our officials for certain will mess up plenty but the constitution gives them the right to at least influence them and/or replace them.

This is what Justice Scalia said about the constitution which is why Obama doesn't like him. Scalia has put it, "the reality of the matter is that, generally speaking, devotees of The Living Constitution do not seek to facilitate social change but to prevent it."
In his book on the chapter under Constitution, he is so pompous, he says he feels he is "left with Lincoln" in his deluded thinking that they look at the constitution the same. I could go on and on but you obviously haven't taken the time to read his book and really know where this man is coming from. He has every intention of crapping all over YOUR constitution, because he thinks that it is his to change at will.
ANd I can guarantee that if elected, this man will place such immoral justices on the Supreme Court, even you will wonder what country you are living in. This is a man who will resort to sly deceptions to advance his agenda of liberal judicial activism.
No doubt this is all over your head and as usual, you will have another ridiculous comeback because you really have nothing intelligent to comment on in regards to your constitution.
And I won't even bother to address the abortion issue with you and his take on the constitution with that one. You probably don't care much about that either.

Lined his pockets and now the tax payers are having to pay it back while they get to keep all the money they received and not paying any of it back. Dodd & Hillary are right on top with Obama too. This is why I don't trust the dems. McCain was saying a couple years ago not to do it but the dems didn't listen and passed whatever they passed and lined their pockets.

I've never trusted Condi or any of the Bush administration. I think they've been lying to everyone about everything all along and I don't think this is any different. President Kennedy - I could not find anything anywhere showing that he used to have weekly frat parties. I do understand the necessity of holding formal dinners for dignitaries of other countries. That is a most respectful and dignified "use" of the white house. President Kennedy and First Lady Jackie, honored their roles and kept the dignity of the white house and never did anything to make the American people ashamed.
Bill Clinton - While I certainly was no fan of BC's, I also could not find anything about him turning the white house into a party palace. I saw numerous article after article about state dinners, etc. Again, a most acceptable use for the white house. He entertained dignitaries, held the usual Christmas dinners, etc, but no where could I find any articles about weekly parties (especially when the countries economy was not nearly as bad as it is today).
President Carter - nothing
President George Bush - Again nothing (much unfortunately for the Bush-bashers).
So with all the past president they utilized the white house for the purpose it was intended for. They did not "disgrace" it with weekly parties for staff members.
Then we have the O - weekly wednesday parties, conga lines, high priced entertainers, all at the expenses of the taxpayers. And when everyone in the country is losing their jobs, homes, health benefits, no hope for the future, they are partying it up back there.
Entertaining foreign diplomats and having dinners is one thing. But having weekly parties while the rest of us are saying "what in the world is going on, you told us we have to cut back, is a whole nother thing". You think George & Martha Washington, and John & Abigale Adams and the other founding fathers even thought that one day the once respectful white house would be turned into a party-house. I don't think so. It's disgraceful.
The White House has stood as a symbol of the presidency, the government and the people of the country. This is gluttony and disgrace. While GB may have not been the president, never did I feel as ashamed as I do today to know this is how they treat a national landmark that is suppose to represent us.

Please keep an open mind and listen to what I have to say and try and see it how others do. I've been reading your previous posts and you sound like you are on a mission to save all the aborted babies (before being aborted). This is the way I feel...I believe in a higher power (our Creator). I feel so strongly that he is a powerful and just God. I believe that when a soul dies it goes to the other side and will live forever in a world of love and will be taken care of. I would rather know that a soul that has been aborted is now living on the other side with our creator in a life of love and compassion being taken care of by the people who have passed on before us. I would rather know they are there rather than having to spend an eternity in he!! on this earth. A baby that lives but was going to be aborted will never be loved the way a baby should be loved. For those with stories that their mother was going to abort but decided to keep you and you were born and you had the most loving family that is wonderful. But I think we all know very well that too many times it doesn't work out like that. The baby is born into a world where the mother blames it for everything bad that happens to her. I have a freind who's mother blames her for being born. She tells her if she never had her then her (the mother) life would have been so much better and she would have been able to accomplish everything she wanted to do, but society forced her into having the baby and now everything is my friends fault and my friend has never felt the kind of love most of us have when growing up. It is so so so sad to see and unfortunately it happens a lot. So as horrible as abortion may seem to some, I think its a Godsend to the unborn baby that is now in the heavens with our God. When being aborted the time length between life and death is short which is a lot better than having to live their whole lives (sometimes over 80 years) in a life of he!!
There are so many reasons that people have to have abortions and I don't think it is anyone's right to judge them for their actions.
I also believe after a person departs this earth and meets our Creator they will have to face some serious times. If you have an abortion of necessity that is one thing, but if you aborted a fetus that is developed or had been born already that is a whole other situation - again between the creator and the person.
I think its very very important that a woman is allowed to make a serious decision like this between themselves, their doctor and nobody else. No political figure or some religious figure giving their opinions of what should be done based on what they believe.
So, that is just my opinion.

black liberation theology, and look at what Obama is proposing. All of it a matter of public record, most of it from his own mouth. Your denial of it does not change the facts. If you support socialism, vote for him. Certainly your right. You are already wanting to squelch any kind of dissent...what's up with that? If you seriously consider calling someone a socialist a smear, you really need to read up on your candidate. I did not post a smear, I posted a fact. Redistribution of wealth is socialist and he already said he was going to do it...I heard him say it and it is now a campaign commercial. Sigh.

You are correct. I cannot stand either of them. It literally makes me ill to watch them. Don't ask me why because I just can't put my finger on it, but when she or Bill is speaking I find my stomach gets nauseous - and I voted for him the first time he ran. I was for him for about his first 2 years in office, then I started learning more and more about he and Hillary and what their plans were. Guess I was blinded by the lies and when it all started coming out I realized the person he was as president and the person who ran for president were two different people. I think its just basically because they are such manipulating liars and I can't for the life of me understand why anyone believes anything they say. I have not yet found anything they say to be credible. You know when everyone talks about Richard Nixon they'll say what a bad person he was he was impeached and once he left office nobody paid attention to him. If they mentioned his name all I kept hearing was "impeached, impeached", but when you hear Bill's followers will never say "he was impeached". You know I really didn't have a hard time with them at all until after I started reading about their history and all the illegal things they've done throughout their careers to get where they are (and they got away with it). I told my DH, so-n-so went to jail for that, what is keeping these two out, especially when there is proof of what they've done. They'll come out and say such-n-such a person does this or that (eluding to something imoral), when in fact they have done the same exact thing. But then again all politicians do it. It also made me nauseous when we tried explaining to my MIL things he was doing (illegal things) and her only come back was "but he's so cute". That's all she had for an answer to everything. "Hey mom, do you realize he lied to America? and do you realize this was illegal?" - "Yes, but he's so good looking and it was only a little lie". Ignorance like that is just what really irritates me to the core.
I know I have to calm down. I was real calm when I turned off the TV and stopped seeing those two faces, but then I go and turn on the news and they are still in it - so off the TV will go again.
I do understand they are an influential part of politics - why for the life of me I don't know. He's an impeached ex president. Nothing more. He didn't do anything to improve the lives of Americans - he put us deeper in debt. Taxes were the highest when he was in office than anyone can remember. Okay, in all fairness I do give Hillary credit for being the first female to get as far as she has running for present, but that's about all the credit I give her. If her values are to teach young girls that they can lie, cheat and steal to get whatever they want, along with crying when you don't get your own way, telling people you are staying in because an assassination could happen in June and you need to be there to pick up the pieces? (Those were her words no matter what way anyone wants to spin it). Oh my!!! Well that's not a characteristic I would ever want any of my children to daughters to have. Not only through her campaign, but also things she has done and said in her political career and as first lady also factor into why I think she is just a horrible person. At the convention I do see her as an important person (maybe in my last post I didn't think so, but I do think it is important for her to be there), but the impeached ex-president should not. He disgraced the office and the trust that millions (well I don't know if it was millions but it was a lot) had in him. He used his position as president to keep having his affairs, and other stuff he did. I can't even imagine what Monica was thinking when the guy that she was in love with and was sleeping with (even though he was married) when he was asked why he had an affair he said "because I could". Not because I love her, or even because I care about her. No "because I could". The respect he shows towards women is Zero. Everyone will talk about John Edwards, how awful he had an affair. Or John McCain, how awful what he called his wife and what he did to his wife, but people are excusing what Bill Clinton did. Why? Oh I forgot "because he's so good looking". He may do a lot for races (people of color), but I think its all a sham. I don't know about Fox news cos I don't listen to them (got tired of one viewpoint all the time), but just listen to the comments he makes "Barack's only winning because he's black". "Barack won such-n-such an area because that's where Jesse Jackson won", etc, etc. The comments go on and on. His statements he makes in public to me show me that he is a racist and that's why I said he can hide behind his walls but he will always be a racist in my opinion. And giving people of color jobs that didn't even pay enough that they could support themselves and still had to get food stamps, while taking away good paying jobs from other people to ship them over seas (NAFTA), well that also lessened my respect for him and what he was doing to America and American's. He never cared about me or other people in America and the people who were getting the big tax breaks were the 1% of the wealthiest (those same people they claim Bush gives the tax breaks to). My family, my friends, and my families friends were all losing their jobs and houses while he was president. So I guess that's another reason why I can't stand him.
I do think that Hillary might be able to help bring the party together but I really don't believe Bill would. People like to see him speak - sure he is a mesmerizing person (although when I see him the hair on the back of my neck stands up and there is just something creepy and evil about him). I really do not think we should be having someone who disgraced the office of president and was impeached speak at the convention. Go if he wants to of course, but he should not be allowed to speak. Did the republicans have Richard Nixon speak? No because he was impeached and disgraced the office.
I just think those two are the sleeziest couple in politics. Although I do have to say there are a bunch more who are equally as sleezy, but they do stand out at the top.
So those are my lowly opinions. I'm sorry I feel that way, I wish I felt better about them but I just don't.

depend on someone else's hard earned money to support myself and my family. Even if I had to, I would work hard to get back on my own two feet as soon as I could. I truly do hope things get better because things are truly scary right now. My husband runs a car dealership and he makes the money in our family. However, car sales are down so low right now that I don't even want to think about the money he will be losing come bonus check time.
I just feel like these government programs keep the little guy down. I thought the whole idea was assist people so they can better their situation and then become self-supporting. Instead...we have more and more people living off of the government with no plan or intent of trying to better their situation. They just want that monthly check.
I just think that taking more money from the hard workers and giving it away doesn't show much incentive to work hard in life. Why bother. The more you make, the more they take while people who don't work at all live off of your hard-earned money that is taken away from you.
Stop enabling people to mooch off of the government. The numbers will only rise and get worse.

that they're just going to accept the SC's decision? My money will go to bet that now they will start with the "supreme court didn't hear the case; therefore, they did not rule" so the madness will just continue. Or maybe they'll bring out that old ancient hippy.....who knows but I'll bet these most likely PAID political nut jobs aren't just going to roll over and play dead.
