I wouldn't waste your time trying to make someone understand elitism, especially here. You bet I know what it is. If anyone wants an excellent definition, pick up Laura Ingraham's second book "Shut Up & Sing." Her first chapter is titled "Who Are the Elites?" The very first line reads, "They think we're stupid. They think our patriotism is stupid. They think our church-going is stupid. They think our flag-flying is stupid. They think where we live--anywhere but near or in a few major cities--is stupid. They think our SUVs are stupid. They think owning a gun is stupid..." I was pleased to get it signed from Laura.
