My usual VR fits mostly the same time frame

as yours although I have gotten 600+ before but never 800+ and I start usually at 12, started 15 minutes earlier and by 1 o'clock that is what I had. I keep my speed as fast as it will go also, you cannot make any money unless you are able to do that. I was surprised myself, first time for me and perhaps just a fluke but hey, I will take that.

24-hour time frame
MDI-MD.  Lots of happy people there.  IC status.
24-hour time frame to do work
What are some companies out there who allow a 24-hour frame in which to return work, no set hours, but a minimum line count requirement within a specified time frame.  Thanks in advance.
If there a time frame for return of funds? sm
I know Silent Type wants $500. to get back in 6 months, baloney, this is just a way to get an iinterest free loan to purchase there equipment. I turned it down. On current company, you may suggest to get a predated check for the $125 to coincide with the proposed return of funds, then you can just automatically cash, hopefully there are funds there.
Mine took about that long and the pedal and stuff came in about that time frame sm
BUT I live in the God-forsaken WILDERNESS! By the time the bills show up here they are already late. Only thing I ever get on time is my paycheck.
First, what kind of time frame are we talkin? 6000 lines in a week?

I ask because 6 cpl is horrible and if they expect you to produce 12,000 lines in a week in order to get 9 cpl, well that's just nuts.

But I digress, you original question was should you continue to work when you do not have access to your line count --> NO!  And the fact that you are getting the run around should be sending up red flags.

Now you couple that with the 6 cpl and I would have to say this place you work at sucks!

My primary is even busier than usual and my back-up has been looking for extra help. Maybe time for
nm
Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM
,
Try both and see which one fits. nm

Well, if the shoe fits. :)

Did you consider that possibly they do not have anything that fits what you want or that sm
you might not fit what they want for openings they have right now?

Don't take it personally but if you are really upset about it and want to find out what the reason was, ask them. The worst they can do is not tell you, but they might give you insight into something that you are projecting or missing, something that you can correct.
Unfortunately, probably the only way you will know is by taking the job and seeing how it fits. sm

If you have a job already, if possible, do not quit until you work at the other job long enough to know that you are in a better situation.  I have read glowing reports about a company and then signed on to work and thought it stunk to high heaven, and vice versa ... have seen companies trashed that I thought were wonderful.  Each person's experience is unique.

Of course, if you read several people saying they were paid late or not at all, THAT kind of thing, I would certainly avoid that like the plague.  Although I do enjoy what I do, I cannot afford to work for free.

I work for Keystrokes and SmartMed and would be happy to recommend either one if the TTS thing does not work out for you.  Of course, the same thing goes for them -- some love them, some hate them.

Good luck!

It's really not a matter of what fits. sm

I'm not saying that Transcend's policies may not fit some MTs.  I'm saying that I have experiencing with the way they operate.  They'll tell you one thing to pacify you in a conference call and 2 weeks later the facts show the exact opposite of what was said.  For instance, Tara Goehring (Transcend recruiter) posted here in this thread that Transcend does not offshore, yet Larry said in the conference call that they do.

When asked about MDI accounts going to voice recognition, it was said that the accounts would stay the same UNLESS the client themselves wanted VR.  You can bet your bottom dollar Transcend is going to market their own propietary speech software (BeyondTXT) to the client in a way that the clients will be begging for VR.  Their press release announcing the sale was referring to the MDI accounts and said 'including the conversion of some of MDI's business to Transcend's speech recognition-enabled BeyondTXT platform.'

So it's not a matter of what fits for one may not fit for the other.  It's the fact that what is cheered in a pep rally doesn't actually match the facts when everything comes into play.  When we chose MDI as the place to work, we based that decision on certain factors that made our jobs enjoyable.  They are long gone.

Now it's clear why she fits in so well at Diskriter. LOL~~~

Maybe nothing available that fits your skills and what they are looking for. That doesn't mean
You might have come across as difficult to work with if you turned down what they were going to put you on. Maybe there was nothing available for YOU. I did recruiting for another national in the past and would never do that again because this is the most miserable group of people in the world. Jeesh. Get over yourself.
No job fits everyone. I worked there a short while (sm)
and one day got a snippety reply from a QA person I don't know what's wrong with you, most people from the company you came from love it here. Needless to say, good company or not, that one cranky remark set me off. I had worked there a week or so and of course had a couple of format issues.

I do see ads for them fairly frequently, so perhaps they aren't a good fit for everyone.

Use your own judgment, there are many good companies out there, we just have to pick around until we each find our perfect fit.

Good luck.
CPSI is giving me fits...
It's the system the hospital uses, so my MTSO has no control over it...it has either been disconnecting me or is so slow that I can't get anything done.  I have work in my cue, but I can't do it because of this problem, and now it is out of TAT.  No one's working who can fix this at this time of night either.  Of course, this is the first time it's done that.  They need to use a better system then CPSI....I always liked ChartScript.  Now it's almost the end of the work day (not even my normal work day).  Guess I'll have to keep trying.
What you describe here fits my situation to a T
I am resting this afternoon from the stress, and want to see what kind of work I can get at my regular IC job. Maybe that is where I need to stay. It is more flexible too. In my whole career at my original job they never were like that with me, I was never made to feel paranoid about bad worktypes or cherry picking. We just kept running out of work around the holidays. DH and I talked about it and maybe I need to try harder at the IC and maybe pick up something along side it. Just a couple of weeks on this other and the migraines have started and so have the worries.
You hear bad and good - it is what you make of it - if it fits your needs, try it out!
s
Here's the deal - if you find one that fits, even remotely. STAY!! stop searching for "perfect

pay as usual!
Companies pay when hospitals pay welcome of the world of Mt!
just the usual with KS
It is nice to get an answer. It is nice that KS does not offshore. But what is not so nice is finding out that the person giving you the information may be misrepresenting themselves and may not actually be a recruiter for that company. So if this is the case, how can you know that they are not telling you lies about the company????
You mean, just BS as usual.
nm
The usual gig.....
Poor work flow management. Zero communication. Don't want to hear your input on anything. Whether or not you have a good or bad experience there is pretty hit and miss I'd say depending on all the variables. Certainly not a well-thought-out equation by them.
As usual, another one who knows
nothing about the poster. How was I insulting and what makes you so sure I'm not an MT? This Army Brat obviously has some issues with her company and is very paranoid that her work is being directed away from her. Maybe she should talk to her supe and not assume things she doesn't know.
Just the usual cowards who have nothing SM

better to do than rip other people apart so they don't have to acknowledge that they have their own deficiencies.  Instead of actually speaking to someone with their company and having them know what kind of people they have working for them, they come here anonny and post the same tired stuff all the time and talk about how great they are in comparison to other people they work with, how the company should value them, blah blah blah.

The loudest ones are usually the most lacking in skills.

Ok, so this is hopefully just worse than usual? sm
Do I have to let them know to hop on at other times, or is it understood that it's necessary?

thanks much for your help!!!
Yes, one to her, one to office as usual.
x
Thanks so much...As usual trying to do it the hard way
xx
Yes, still here - Business as usual SM
No major changes since Acusis buyout. Same pay, same clients, same platform, matching 401K now in effect. No reason to *jump ship* that I can think of unless swimming is something you like to do for aerobic exercise.
Aside from the usual abrrv, try dividing SM
words in half.

hydronephrosis = hyne
scoliosis = scos
cholecystectomy = chec
aforementioned - afme

Or divide words together like
Babcock clamp = bacl

This is very easy, once you get the hang of it. Have fun!
excellent advice - as usual

She may not be lying - but it is not typical or usual. nm
nm
OSI W2's late as usual this year?
.
Yes, mine was there are usual. TT is still the best IMHO.
Glad to be there. Glad to stay.
There is the usual posting by DIT. Gotta ask ..(sm)

Is there anyone out there that is currently working for DIT, getting paid and on time?  I know that there were many, many posts here not long ago on how they had stiffed a few employees but was wondering if they had turned things around.

TIA

You're the only one giving anyone flack, as usual.

No, just your usual hunt and peck for lines day. nm

Should add the usual disclaimer...No I am not mgmt - just another MT finishing her shift for the
night! I work out of Amherst as well, and the work is back-logged on many of our accounts.  Again, I don't understand those who claim no work.  We get daily emails listing loads of accounts, and nearly all of them are always full of work, if not out of TAT.  Dozens and dozens of clients listed I never even heard of! So, just seems a mystery to me how, or why, some MTs "claim" to always have no work.  Amherst sends mass mailings out 3 times a day, I believe, or at least 2 to ALL MTs - don't you read them? don't you get them? If you have no work, pick one of the dozens in the "red zone", and call your supervisor and ask to be put on a backlogged account. I have never been turned down a new account.  Learn it - get on it and make it yours! If its often backlogged, Bingo! Now you have a good busy account!
It's not law, but it's usual general policy to avoid law suits. nm

Is it usual for company to assign specific jobs?
I'm just so frustrated right now.  I've had some jobs assigned to me that are from one of my backup accounts, not just one but many, and many ESLs, which has really brought my line count down.  I know I have to just deal with it, but I'm wondering if this is a normal occurrence.  I got hired under the idea that I was on a low ESL account, which my main account is, but not the backup accounts.  This doesn't happen all the time, but it is happening more frequently now.  Do I have a reason to be frustrated with this, or should I just get over it and accept it?
No we won't. I said slow, meaning slower than usual, should have clarified.
.
MDI-MD - What is the usual starting line rate? smsg

Upon receiving email from MDI, it states they offer a generous line rate?  Any input here?  I'm interested in the cpl rate.  Thanks for any info!

Just how are they to work for as far as accounts, ESLs, etc. The usual things such as how they treat
the MTs and so on.
Merit is what is screwed up. As usual. New managers couldn't care less.
nm
Where do you get a Lanier dictaphone and what is the usual charge for unlimited long distance. nm
:
I work on it. Usual amount of work. Not running out but not backlogged either. They seem to have
about the right staffing on it. Hope that helps.
I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a
company that is hiring flexible part-time?  I'm starting a career in real estate but don't want to totally quit transcription, but I think most places require 25 hours a week and I cant work weekends, as real estate sales are the biggest on the weekend with open houses and people off work to shows homes to.  If you know of a place I'd sure appreciate the info.  Thanks!
MDI-Maryland is an excellent company, pay on time all the time, great line rate.
I left also because I went out and got my own client(s).
They are very nice people.

The only negative I can think of were the e-mails from the owner say work, work, work, we are out of TAT.

Other than that, which is very minor, it was a good experience.
Not what I was told; 3500/wk part-time & 6000 wk/full-time. nm
nm
Precyse Solutions is hiring part-time and full-time right now.
Saw this on their website.
i work 3 part-time jobs now. it can be confusing if you are learning both at the same time, but sm
other than that not a problem for me. best to get one down before starting to other or you might become overwhelmed.
