The best thing I EVER did for myself was get divorced. Sure single parenthood is hard, but do you really think the kids don't know how unhappy you are?

I left my ex-jerk while I was pregnant with our child. I thought I could help him change. He was abusive, became a drug addict, cheated, etc. When he told me that his dream for our child was a crack-whore and a blunt on his 15th birthday, I knew he had no desire to be a better person and I got out of dodge. I also got full custody of my son. As long as I'm breathing, he will never meet him. This was all 10 years ago.
