Bravo
You are so right. I think what you did is perfect. I, too, did not go overboard this year. My kids are grown, but I take care of two little ones and did not go nuts this year. They are happy and content. Too much commercialism for everyone anyway. My greatest gift this year was from the heart - my DH knew that I was missing my Jr. year HS yearbook from 35 years ago (yes, I'm getting up there). He went to a local junk store and found one for $15.00. That meant more to me than the rest of the things he got me put together. Also, my favorite aunt, from whom I had been estranged due to her wayward granddaughter, called me on Christmas Eve and talked for 55 minutes and 27 seconds. That gift is definitely priceless. I hope you and yours have a blessed 2008, as well as all MQ MT and QA people. Happy New Year!!
Anthing on Bravo. Can't wait for new Mad Men

Bravo! Great idea!
Coming from a mother of three, that is a great idea.
Probably so relieved that she didn't keel over. BRAVO! lol

is that hair cutting one on it too? I LOVE project runway... dont know when or where it will be back...
Last night Bravo had "The 100 Scariest Movies Of All Time" and number one was ...sm

Jaws!?!?!  I didn't find that scary at all!  The Exorcist and Audition are the scariest for me.

Thank you very much for posting that.
I felt like I was making fun of obese people in having the opinion that obesity is a choice.  But, I still stand behind the fact that it certainly is a CHOICE, and until one who is obese owns up to their lifestyle habits and stop blaming others, they will never lose that weight, but simply live each day thinking they have an "excuse".
This could be me posting...

I go through the same thing every year.  In fact, when I first got married I had no idea what these baskets were.  I had not even heard of them.  I was using one that has a plastic insert liner for my sponges by my sink when MIL got a little offended and told me how expensive they are.

I have only been married six years, so far only six baskets, that I keep in the cupboard above my fridge.  Don't know what I will do when I run out room up there.  I don't mind the baskets, I just don't know what to do with them.  About the only time I use them is when I have company for dinner and I use them for the rolls.

Thank you for posting this!
I checked out the website - www.steppables.com. We have a stone path down a slope in our back yard and I want to plant fragrant ground cover in the spaces between the stones. That is a great site!
Thanks for posting this....
I was not aware of this case. It is good to get the information out there. I pray for her safe return.
Oh wow...thanks for posting that...
we have a 10-week-old boxer and have been picking up toys here and there for him...thanks for letting me know what NOT to get...that is scary...poor thing!!
Thanks to all of you for posting
I really appreciate it!

Could someone help with posting a pic, please

Every time I have tried to do this by clicking on 'Click here to Upload Image!', a javascript error occurs, with javascript:void(0); in the bar at the bottom of my screen.

I thought I had uploaded a pic with no problems here before, but cannot seem to do it today.  I finally was able to get my son to take a couple of pictures of my recliner with footpedal setup and was all geared up to post them

TIA for any advice/assistance!

Thank you for posting...
I haven't seen the previous discussion about IQ, but I can understand the sentiment in your post. I also think that others' expectations of "the smart one" can weigh heavily on you. I still feel guilty for not being as "successful" as other people expected me to be at this point in my life. At times I think everyday life would have been a little happier if I had been a little more average or if I had realized that the only person I have to make happy right now is myself :)
Thank you for posting...sm
I looked at the link, and it made me all teary eyed. Those poor dogs have been through so much too. I have read about some of those pits that were rehabilitated, and honestly the way they have managed to still love after what they have gone through is just amazing. Thanks again.

You might try posting
On the main board about this. If find that I get more help about equipment and IT issues over there.

I would say find a used computer store. Some times they only charge $50 an hour to look at it for you and if they can fix it in that hour there are no additional charges. I would definitely work on it before it goes out completely on you.
Thanks for posting this......... sm
This shows what happens when people care about other people.  What started out as something to help herself over the holiday became a wonderful outpouring of love and friendship.
thanks for posting
I can't believe I thought I was the only one who went through this. I actually feel better now.

Seems like the lesson to learn from all of this is that women need to learn to be kinder to one another, we can cause each other a lot of pain by using children against each other.
I'm only posting this
so that you know that your notion of the uncircumcised penis as "gross" is so juvenile & ethnocentric that it doesn't even warrant an answer.

Remind yourself never to go to Europe.
This is a different than what you were posting
You asked people to divulge 8 things about themselves other people would not want to know about. I read it and thought if you don't want to know about it why are you asking.

This post is inquiring about the frequency people have with their "encounters". I would imagine wanting to know if there is "normalcy", which I have wondered too whether or not I need to be taking something to increase my libido or is it normal that other people have sex less frequently than I do.

Maybe your post below should have been 8 things about me that would surprise you or something like that, and just keep out the really gross things (eating habits). The having "delicious" sex part didn't offend me but the other items you listed made me a little queezy, but people generally get turned off by unpleasant things about other people.
In looking at your posting I see where you said
you asked about fish oil and then when someone said not FDA approved, you did not give? To me if you do not overdo it, what in the world could be the matter with fish oil? As a mother, do you have to ask each and every little thing you might possibly give your child. What about an aspirin, Tylenol, the same? I think common sense might play into some of this. If I had read fish oil was good for depression, I would never have to ask anyone for a second opinion, be it a physician or my next door neighbor.
Thanks so much for posting ...
I am such a sap it brought a tear to my eye.
Update since the last posting...sm
We saw the doctor yesterday and he wasn't concerned about the ultrasound results. The beta HCG drawn on Monday came back as being strong and consistent with a 6-8 week pregnancy. We'll know the results of today's tests tomorrow but it looks like we're ok. Whew!
what's PH? Posting Handle?????

posting handle!!! lol

ok, said I wasn't posting again, but...
BRAVO...excellent post...I was practically jumping outta my seat reading your post...THANK YOU..and thank your daughter personally from me for giving so much of herself and caring so much for the otherwise unfortunate children out there.  Her students are blessed beyond measure and she will surely be richly rewarded for her hard work and dedication to these children...again........... to you and your daughter (you are undoubtedly an AWESOME mother!)
I was just thinking of posting for those in CA
wondering if any of you are close.  My brother is supposed to be taking a team to a robotic car competition in Colton and from what I can tell that is a little too close.

Hey, thanks for posting that link - I definitely
recognize the reindeer!  I have no idea what must have happened to ours...
Me, too. Thank you for posting about that condition.
I've always had larger dogs and had no idea such a thing existed. Hopefully it will help someone learn about the condition.
The risks of posting
GF- I am sorry you were ganged up on here. Happens frequently. It's easy to judge others as we sit back in our chairs, comparing other families to our own. Can't say I'm not guilty of doing the same.

Your question was about the key, not about the situation and all it may entail. Unfortunately most people chose to question the details around your family situation. You owe no one an explanation.

My thoughts on the key: You did the right thing. His place of residence will no longer be at your house, but at your daughter's house. Therefore, he should only have a key to her house.

I think they are the ones posting truth about ESL &

Thanks for posting. I see a lot of your posts and I think we have a
death would not be sad to someone. I find it all sad, that he had mental issues maybe, depression or just hooked on drugs, but its all sad. Other's misfortune is sad to me.
Thanks for posting and I did read it all
So funny but my daughter told me about a month ago she had an extremely happy childhood- first she had told me that, idealic (spelling?) is what she called it. I felt like I did the best in raising them. My daughter is really happy for me and the life I have now. A lot of people do not understand what the love of money can do- but I have seen for myself. My daughter and husband both suggested the answering machine. I have just asked and asked for her to not assume I am angry, just ask me- I do not think that is asking too much of her. Many people who really know me, friends, family and the like tell me they are happy for what I have now as how I have had to struggle before. You cannot change people's minds- people on here post what they feel- that is ok. I read all posts and I sleep good at night, not ashamed nor bothered by others. I wish everyone a good life. Not bitter as others have said on here and I think the lack of my handing out more money ended the relationship with my son and his family. I have an aunt who said the son will never have any kind of good luck for the way he has treated me- she has been around and she knows the circumstances -others here only know what they think. Thanks again.
She must like the answers as she is posting again

Here she goes again.

Instead of posting the idea here
Why not go and actually do it!!!  I bet you'll be back here to advertise your new site, too.
Thanks for posting. I will check it out.

Oh, so so cute! Thanks for posting this.

Really lovely. Thanks for posting. I don't

Have read your posting and you say
he put the diagnosis of NIDDM on requestion paper- now having done this, is this perhaps what he thinks it might be and not a final diagnosis- sometimes a preliminary diagnosis written down when they are checking for a specific disease or abnormality. What was the final reading or did you ask? A preliminary could be he had to have a diagnosis to check a specific test.
I love that. Thanks for posting.

Wow, this is wonderful advice. Thanks for posting this and WELCOME

lol - read your reply after posting exactly the same
Court-ordered child support to feed, clothe, and house the child is expected...in addition to paying for medical expenses. I'm glad my GD's parents don't send gifts for any of the holidays so I am not left to feel resentment at their not paying child support. Taking proper care of a child is much more important than being a superficial person (as in you ex-SIL's example).
Wow..we always had grilled cheese too! Thanks for posting..sm
It is very hard to go to all the places that I once shared with my mom. I am trying to keep her in my heart and do all the fun and memorable things with my daughters. Everything I do seems to bring her close to my heart.. and makes me cry for her. Thanks again for posting. Take Care.
Just was posting a news story that I
thought some people might be interested in. Believe me, I do not care about him one bit. Cannot stand him. Yes, quite ironic especially since "his book" is out today. Do not plan on reading that either, even though $$ is going to the Goldman Family/Brown Family and/or the children. Not really sure on that one.
About posting - I'm sort of a newbie sm
When you talk about your family I've come to understand that DH is husband, DS is son, DD is daughter - what does that first D stand for?  I haven't been able to pick up on it from the context.  Thanx!
also might try posting on autoimmune board nm
