hate cats. What is with these people, and what in the name of God do cats do to offend so many people? One of my friends told me on a shopping trip last fall about 15 times how she hated cats, but LOVES dogs. Finally I just fired back at her and asked her what in the world was wrong with HER? She got red in the face and muttered something about hating when they rub up against her. Give me a break. I could not take any more thatt day. Every shop we went into and she saw a cat on a picture, a mug, ANYTHING and I had to hear how she hated these wonderful, clever little creatures. All my life I have heard this nonsense. What is it with CATS?? My sister and nieces have cats and always have had them and we could not love them more. Would you believe last year my niece was in line at the store waiting to pay for cat food, when a guy behind her actually tapped her on the shoulder and looked at the cat food she was buying and proudly stated I HATE CATS. I agree with my niece when she said to me a few months ago that cats just don't get the recognition they deserve. When her cat of 20 years was failing but according to the vet not in pain, she took him to bed and slept next to him so he could die in her arms, which he did. We will never forget our Willie. He had a sweetness that will live on forever.
I find TV people in my dreams and am tired of it. OC

You do not have to be old to be taken in so let's shelf that right now. I just saw on a judge show where a lady gave a guy 1500.00 out of her acct, leaving her with $81. This person thought she would get repaid and then make some. I read about people answering ads saying send in XXX and make $5,000.00 a day, week, whatever fits in here. I see where people stopped outside a store, a person has found a bundle of money and they want you to go to the bank and get the same amount, then all that to be put in the bundle and you get half of that? Can we say flim-flam? I cannot believe all the gulliable, seems like you have never been outside your home, absolutely idiotic people in my life. Why am I getting so angry listening to all this. I really am just BURNT up.

It is completely rude, but there isn't much else you can do. You can, however, choose a consistant pickup time yourself and let her know what that is. I have done that which creates a big inconvenience to them instead of you. :)

The only human thing doesn't cut it. I have worked in hospitals for many years, observed nurses and MDs in action. When administering drugs, there is no excuse for massively overdosing newborns with Heparin. The nurse was probably talking her head off to somebody, had her mind on 10 different things instead of what she should have been doing - passing meds.
If she was tired, then she should not have passed meds or should have had somebody help her to doublecheck herself.
I hope they sue the pants off that nurse and the hospital, too.

I have a terrible problem with insomnia, seemingly inhierted from both parents, but they didn't have it until early 40s. I am 39 and have had problems for well over 10 years. Thanks!

i would have told her in that situation you thought just you and the combined kids, husband not going and you want to wait until it would be just you 2 adults so you could catch up on some girl talk- actually if me I would not even put in the girl talk but I know some people not out there like me. I would just tell her sorry, want to go when we girls can spend some time together. If invited somewhere, anyone knows you just don’t make arrangements for a third party to come along- unless you ask first if ok.

when caught with contraband. He is probably just experimenting at this point but you want to nip that in the bud. He needs to really see what the effects of that will be and that he may think he can stop at any time but the problem is he won't know that he can't stop until it has already happened. I've always felt that stressing the inside damage they are doing to themselves is important but with a teenager looks are really what they care about- try stressing how unattractive and smelly they make a person, where girls that might be interested would pass because of the smoking.

How about using the economy as an excuse? You could phrase it that you don't want her to spend her money or something like that. She may seem to enjoy it, but she might jump at the chance to cut one thing out of a crazy shopping season.
Good luck. My family and I stopped exchanging gifts years ago. None of my brothers or sisters have kids and we all decided that we were broke and stressed and just didn't need to do it. It's made Chrismtas much more relaxing. We just get together for a nice dinner and have a good time.

I had very low BP when I was tired a lot...
went to the doc and he told me I needed to eat more protein. I was not only tired, had low BP but was also cold all the time. He also ran me through the battery of tests and everything was okay. I eat very healthy, have only one day that I call my bad eating day, on that day will have dessert, maybe fries or a soda. I exercise 5 or 6 days also, that revs me up too. It sounds like you are doing really good things for yourself, especially with little ones to chase! Have you been to the doc at all?

May I remind you that Roe V Wade was the product of a handful of activist judges?? ANYwhere wholesale abortion has been on a ticket for all of US out here to vote on, it was defeated. They tried first to make it a "state" issue, and it was voted down. So activist judges overturned the will of the people and now we have abortion on demand. So PLEASE do not insinuate that the majority of people would vote FOR abortion, because you are VERY MUCH mistaken.

I am a Pastor's wife. Well, that will probably tell you volumes in itself. He is right-wing Lutheran, and I come from a moderate Lutheran background. Well, needless to say I know what you are going through except I am supposed to set an example to the ladies at church that the man is the leader of the house and we are not to publicly or privately question his decision, because that is the Biblical way. Well, sinner or not, I think this leads to men thinking they are always right, we are not their equal, we have no say, and it becomes a control issue. So... my heart is with you. I have yet to figure out this patriarchal thing. Believe me, I have voiced many times that I am good at some things, he other things and in discipline with children, we are equal not one better than the other. I think men are supposed to act responsibly not controlling and this is where the confusion comes in. When they refuse our opinion or disrespect us, I feel they are not living up to their role as protector and are acting like babies. But then again, they say I am a Pastor's wife who needs to go to Pastor's wife school, because my opinions are for equality and I have zero tolerance for domestic abuse. I am sorry if this does not answer your question or help you, but I do want to say I sympathize and you are not incorrect. There is no reason for a man to be controlling or to be rude, senseless and overbearing. When I figure out the answer to my situation I'll let you know. All I can say is to this day publicly and at home I stick up for equality, and I do not accept abusive male behavior and I don't care who doesn't like it. Zero tolerance from me. Leads to a tense household, but it could be worse, dishonesty is absolutely worse. Sorry for the soap box. Please hang in there and keep yourself safe and happy. :)

He is tired a lot, but I put that down to the insomnia - sm
He goes to bed at 9 or 10 and wakes up at 2, so living on 4-5 hours of sleep a night would make you a bit tired. No jaundice. He has some body ache from time to time, but figure that is normal aging. He only gets nausous after cooking. He cannot eat right after cooking, his mom is the same way though. He does not have a good appetite though, that has been getting gradually less and less, eats a light lunch and dinner, no snacking thoughout the day, though he has not lost weight, probably because of the beer though. He has had a lot of stomache upset lately, so if I get get him to a GI doc maybe we will discover only gallstones. He has had a couple kidney stones already, though he only mentions them after the fact. I told him he has to keep the stone so we can get it checked/analyzed to see what type of stone it is. He is an ostrich with its head in the sand. I just dread if anything ever serious is diagnosed as he will most likely refuse treatment which I think is insane. I have a very strong will to live and we have 2 kids, so it is hard to understand. AS for the other comment on the will, yes we did that years ago, and we both have life insurance as well so in that respect I'd be okay, but I'd rather have him here, not in the ground.

with my last pregnancy, which resulted in a miscarriage, I wasn't. Anyone else have a lot of tiredness? I used to sleep only 6-1/2 or 7 hours a night and now am sleeping 8 at night and taking a nap during the day. I'm hoping the tiredness is a good sign. I see the doctor this week for my first checkup.
