I know when my daughter had her baby, they took DNA from her as well as the baby's daddy for the paternity testing. What doesn't make sense to me is why she was fighting the paternity testing? My daughter had an interesting take (she definitely watches way too much Maury)...maybe Daniel was Anna's baby's daddy and that's why he killed himself. Not anything I would have thought of but it fits with Anna's upside-down life.

They want to make sure that the baby they test for paternity is
actually Anna Nicole's baby and not another baby that is brought and tested for paternity. If someone were to "switch" babies for paternity tetsing only, then Larry Birkhead would be shown as "not the father," so they want to make sure that the baby tested is actualyl Anna Nicole's and that is why they need her DNA.

The courts will now get their DNA test to confirm paternity and whoever the father
really is will be awarded custody. However, given the nature of this case, I am sure the Division of Family Services will be involved no matter what.
