I couldn't have said it better myself! I used to love my career. I have been doing this for 8 years now. For the first time, I am starting to feel like a failure. Yes, this used to be my career. Now it is just a job. I have always had steady employment until the clinic that I worked for decided to close the department and outsource everything. Now, here I am. I'm in this huge pool of great transcriptionists trying to find a decent job with decent insurance. As far as recognition goes anymore, might as well forget that. I know there have to be good places to work out there, but finding them is next to impossible for me, so it seems! Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.
