ride
What color - I saw a light purple one here in the boondocks and it was gorgeous....Odd, but gorgeous...
I ride my own
I got my license about 5 years ago.  I took the training course and passed.  I started riding on a Honda 500 and then went to my now bike, a Yamaha V-Star 650 and I love it.  I've met so many nice people and have made so many new friends over the years.  Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.
I ride
Got my license a few years ago. If your school is like mine, you ride nothing over a 250. But I have a 650 now and love it!!
Wow, what a ride!

I just read your story and she and the baby are so darned lucky!  It is downright creepy how people can get away with saying they are something, even provide legit-looking documentation, yet are completely corrupt.  I'd certainly be making a call to my Attorney General's office with her name, address, and all the info they have on her.

Please pass along my congratulations and hope mom is back on her feet and feeling better soon!

What does Pimp My Ride mean??

Pimpin yo ride

It you had it to do again (being a teen with a hooty of your choice) what ridge would you pimp out.  I am a child of the 70-80s so mine would be an 82 IROC camaro.   Rim it out and the sparkly black paint.  Mild tint.

my best ride still is a 4-legged one.
x
he's getting a free ride
Why would the mooch want to move out? Basically, he gets a free ride until shove him out the door.  You haven't done anything wrong.  This guy will continue to take advantage of this for as long as you let him get away with it.  Been there. Done that.
My pimpin' ride is out in the garage.
It's a 1968 Ford Mustang.  I had a mechanic friend build me a racing motor and transmission so I can race it at the car shows.  It's going to be way more cherry than my Mercury Cougar ever was.  I picked up some chrome Cragar wheels for it.   The paint was going to be blue, but blue Mustangs are so cliche.  I picked out a really wild, feminine metallic color and ghost flames for it.  It's going to be a girlie car with an attitude.
ya gotta know what Pimp My Ride is

If you have teens, young adults (especially boys) and be able to carry on a conversation with them on a subject they like.  The kids hanging around here are always talking about it.  So, I actually watched the show one day and it's wild what they can do to a regular car

There's no such thing as a free ride.
The only person making money off that guy's book is him. You can't make big bucks doing next to nothing. Anyone who tells you that you can is scamming you. Never pay for any job, kit, startup, information or anything.

I've done secret shopping. It's a pain in the backside and works out to $10 per hour or less. I've sold on ebay but couldn't find wholesalers willing to give a decent rate to a small potatoes client. I've looked into those real estate investor/house flipper programs, but that only works if you've got capital to lay down, a decent credit score and a good housing market. I've purchased every secret book and plan that's out there, but they're all lame. No useful information whatsoever.

The only way to make decent money is through education and hard work.
Yup...friends of ours think I am getting a "free ride"
I guess this means I sit at a computer "pretending" to work and get a "fake" paycheck. In my opinion, I feel that people who make these comments are truly jealous. In my case, they don't see how I can work and tend to my daughter's needs. I take her to pre-school and dance. I'm sorry for those that don't have this luxury, but if you continue getting comments like that, just turn the other way and ignore it. You know you work your tail (and fingers) off for your paycheck just like they do. That's all that matters.

Anyone ride motorcycle, have your license, etc.

I've decided to get my motorcycle license, already passed my permit test and am starting to learn to ride.  I don't know yet if I'm going to learn on a 350 or a 650, but am starting to get excited.  My state offers a weekend course where you go both days for instruction and training and give your license all in one weekend.  My dad loved motorcycles, my sons both have motorcycles, and now it's my turn.  So, satisfy my curiosity, anyone else have this interest?

wild life
Lets just leave the wild life alone, ya know?  *Man* has screwed enough up on this beautiful earth..Leave the wild life alone.
This is a wild guess
Do you think he means the children's cartoon character "Pokemon"? Maybe the patient thinks they're real, or maybe it's how he describes his family.
Wild stab
Assuming this is another MD who is reading a radiology report, I would expect he would say something along the lines of:

"Reviewing the CT scan, the current report demonstrates no free air or fluid, but the comment is really unchanged from previous CT scan."

That is just one possibility. Maybe if you are able to listen again, something will jump out at you.
I won't let my kids ride with inexperienced drivers.

On the other hand, my sister just let her daughter drive a 300 mile round trip with friends and no parental supervision.  My niece has had her license for less than 4 months and is only 15 years old.  The parent is trying to be the "friend" instead of enforcing rules.

FWIW, the only car accident I was involved in was with a girl who only had her license for three days.  She didn't use turn signals or her brakes, just geared down and decided to stop on a 55 mph two-lane right in front of me with oncoming traffic.

Read the part about it being a little late in the ride
to be changin' horses!
remember when they used to have a wild card?
If you could bring somebody back with a wild card, who would it be?  I'd bring back Chris.
I second that, Wild Blue works well (sm)
for me. Tried Hughes a few years back and it was awful but maybe they are improved now. Have had Wildblue for 2 years and it works pretty good.
Possibly Wild Blue?....sm
I don't live in Oregon, but am in rural western Washington. I know a few MTs who use Wild Blue and are happy with it, so that would be my only suggestion.

I did want to say that I have been using satellite for about three years now (a small local company), have been on no less than 4 different MT platforms, and never had any problems. Yes, satellite can be susceptible to extreme weather...but if you're in a rural area you're about as likely to have your power go out anyway in extreme weather!
Best of luck.
Wild guess, but might get you closer

1.  of any murmurs.

2.  funduscopic exam

3.  Eyegrounds??

Pretty wild, I have not had really anything happen since my mom died 09/26/04 except how Jen became
diagnosed with her Wilms tumor.  The day prior to it she'd had her normal checkup and the doctor totally missed the tumor (hard to since it was huge, 15 x 11 x 5 cm...was not protruding though unless she was flat on her back and naked and then only a tiny bit), but felt if you palpated the abdomen. (Dr. cut my daughter's ear while trying to clean wax but failed to mention it to her what he was trying to do, messed up the rest of the exam since she was crying and freaked out from it)  The very next day after her check up though, she fell off the kiddie see-saw (18" fall).....my husband likes to think my mom pushed her off, which subsquently caused a blood vessel on the tumor to burst, which made her pee blood, which got me to get her to the doctor's, who proto found her tumor.  Had she not been diagnosed then, in the next week or so the tumor would have probably burst or spread or somehow not have been encapsulated anymore and things would have been a lot worse. So my mom helped her get treatment a lot earlier than she otherwise would have probably.  I thinks it's nice to think about it this way.
Wild Blue satellite internet

Anybody currently using Wild Blue satellite internet?  Any responses good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a great site and you can wild search
too if you can understand a portion of the name.

I also use WIld Blue and have no problems. Both my jobs are FTP, though.

My computer has gremlins! My mouse has gone wild. sm
Last night when I put my mouse over the "Start" button to shut down, it suddenly went crazy.  It began moving all over the desktop, things started popping up, it was like a wild animal!  I thought it was just a dirty mouse and cleaned it.  When I booted up this morning, the same thing happened.  Then it settled down, and it's working fine.  Now I'm not sure if it's the mouse or the computer.  I'm the same person who had the "wavy" screen yesterday.  Has anyone ever had this happen?  I'm getting paranoid, thinking maybe I have picked up some strange bug on the net.  Any advice appreciated.  Thanks so much for all the help.
My sis routinely makes the 6 hr car ride home to visit with her three kids and has since they
:+
not sure about you, but we have several wild animal care and education centers...
The best way to start is to volunteer.

We have like Messinger Woods and Hawk Creek around here, like animal sanctuaries, where they have owls, eagles, deer, all sort of animals they need to take care of. You can always visit one and ask questions. I would love that, too, only I can not get my boyfriend interested. I would love to even volunteer.

Sounds funny, but what about a zoo...same thing, you can volunteer at first, see if you like it, and I believe those positions offer decent pay...?
Only during the summer. Wild colored toe socks in winter.
;-D
Isn't that wild?!! At least a few people will be needed as MTs/editors in the years to come. nm

Gifts

Seems to me I always give to the accounts and my IC's and I do get a bonus from one of my accounts but I have yet to receive anything from my IC's but I am sure anything would be appreciated.   Even cookies or candy would be appreciated as I rarely have the time.

gifts...

Good stuff <G>

gifts
I used to send bagel baskets and coffee
gifts
I'm 50ish and every year my older brother sends me a gift certificate for Victoria's Secret.  That way he doesn't have to worry about style, color, size, etc, and he knows I wouldn't normally shop there.   They have clothing, but also large assortment of perfumes, lotions, etc that are very nice.  Can't think of a single woman I know that would not like that.  It's a fun place to shop if you're not spending your "own" money....
gifts
I agree with something they wouldn't get for themselves. If you know shops near where they live, a manicure is always nice, I never do this for myself because I'm always on the computer and think I'm "not worth it" but boy, does it feel good and they're only $12 at the local shops popping up all over the place. Lotions are great but some "smells" bother people, have to be careful there. Local mall certificates are great, that way they can pick a store but if they have kids, they'll probably spend it on them. Good luck, what a nice brother you are! How about a nice scarf, they are in all prices and sizes.
Gifts
yes. I have gotten a bonus from my company every christmas and I also sent a gift to the *office* last year for anyone who worked there. I don't know their personal home addresses, and probably don't want to, so just sent it to the office. I sent a combination of items from Popcorn Factorym but I am opting for chocolate this year! lol
I nearly suffered heat stroke taking a bike ride in 105 degrees.
dd
Ok, I invite you to hop on a bicycle for 15 mile ride in below freezing weather, snow, ice, etc.
s
Yes, call your local vet, any vet, and ask for the wild rabbit rescuer in your area.
There is always someone nearly everywhere. If you can't find one, please write me and I'll search for someone for you if you're short on time.  They are so worth saving.  Mom might still be around. Let's hope so!
Christmas gifts
I don't know your sisters, but if they are practical like I am, they might enjoy receiving a flowering plant (something to enjoy for months/years to come).
Also, with the price of gas as high as it is, a "gas card" would be nice. Or maybe a phone card for cell phone 'minutes'. How about a maid for a day? (I would love for someone to clean my windows for me.) Well now that you know what I want for Christmas, I will just sit back and wait . . . ;)
Girl gifts

Girls are so easy to shop for b/c we love everything! lol

Yes, bath & body works are great but if you are like me, then you already have a year's supply left over from previous gifts so i would actually pass on the bath sets.

I think that every girl, no matter what type of personality, loves being pampered at the spa. A nice massage or mani/pedi combo is best. I wouldn't give a facial though b/c some women don't like them (they are not good for sensitive skin) Or if you don't want to do the spa, how about a gift cert to her favorite hair salon?

Then of course, every gal loves any type of jewelry! Or if they already have a lot of jewelry, how about a new jewelry box or stand?

And don't forget technology! A new cell phone or a digi cam. Or if they already have both, new accessories for the phone or digi cam.

Want more ideas? How about a movie-themed gift? you could do a gift card for the local cinema, or buy some of their fav movies on DVD and include a small throw blanket & some microwave popcorn so they will have everthing they need to snuggle up this winter & watch a nice movie.

Then there are always gift cards to their fav restaurants, or you could get them tickets to a local theater show, or tickets to a wine-tasting event.  as i mentioned earlier, girls are easy to shop for! i am sure they will love anything you get them this holiday!

happy holiday shopping!!

We get gifts every year. sm
This year was a little candy jar full of goodies with the company name & logo on it. Not much but it is something.

For Xmas we got copies of the QuickLook Drug Book. Every year at least something.

No, I don't think MT week will go away - it is written into law and signed by Pres Reagan back in the 1980s.
grad gifts

I think that it varies throughout the country and the circumstances.

My husband and I are on a budget so we don't spend much.  For his great-nieces and nephews, we send a card with gift certificates for fast food restaurants and it is for 5 bucks.  Might not sound like much to many but they seem to appreciate it and we feel better not breaking the bank.  He has a huge family and to do more would be tough.

Graduation gifts

What is the going rate for a graduation gift?  It is the granddaughter of an acquaintance of ours.

Outdoor gifts
Such as concrete statuary for flower beds.  Even a beautiful flowering shrub that celebrates every year with them.  Now is the time to plant shrubs and trees so that would be great if they have a home and not an apartment.
Gifts to doctors
St. Jude's Childrens Hospital sends a nice card if you donate money in their name. I think it would make the doctor feel wonderful and you are doing a great thing, everyone benefits. That's what I think is a great gift for someone who is a professional. Look them up on the Web.
Any plans for Mother's Day? Hubby is taking me on a wine & dinner train ride.

Dilemma! Tomorrow is picture day and my 5 yo just went wild w/a jug of blue food coloring --

both hands and the entire lower half of his face are now bright, royal blue.. Will this wash off by morning???

I would let DD go with Habitat for Humanity or a church mission, but not that wild party stuff.
