Favorite Artists/Groups
I love Rob Thomas, Maroon 5, Constantine Maroulis (AI season 5), Barry Manilow (don't laugh now), Phil Collins, Elton John and a lot of the AI gang. In fact, I'm off now to see them in Rochester.
Scam artists, Toth Transcription
STAY AWAY FROM TOTH TRANSCRIPTION. They are scammers. I speak from experience from 8 years ago. I can't believe they are in business again. The husband is a control freak and a crook. He knows nothing about running a legitamate business. He can't hold down a regular job, so he thinks he can run his wife's business.

REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM TOTH.
It happens with all groups, everywhere, anytime…
this post was like if you let your children go to daycare, see what happens. The world has become so evil that it just does not apply to if you have your children in day care. Remember about the mother in Texas, stay at home, who drowned her 5 children at 1 time. Beautiful children and yet a mother no less. You cannot just say not on my watch. That is what I was speaking about. I think lots of people have their heads in the sand thinking just home front is safe and secure.
They are 2 private groups. SM
What exactly do you want to sue them for?  Your post makes no sense.
was absolutely evident by the age groups there..nm

No TV, no music, nothing. Music and TV cause me to daydream. nm

Its just human nature.
My kids hated organized sports and groups. They

are both social, happy kids, but enjoy spending their spare time with Lego's, pets and especially reading. My 5th grader reads at an 11th grade reading level and my freshman reads well beyond college level. Both enjoy school very much and are on the Challenge tracks, A's and B's. But I think they have learned how to entertain themselves and enjoy a slower pace because we don't have a T.V. Definitely gears down the speed of life.

Lots of HMO's are owned by religious groups these days -

My Fave?
Arkansas cake (banana cake with no frosting!)  Ooooyum!  It's rip roaring good!! Wash that down with some mountain Dew and you got one of the best taste treats that would rival any five star restaurnat BAR NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ops are my fave
Years ago when I worked inhouse and was training to do MTing, I was literally scared to death of ops. My boss lady did me the biggest favor of all. She noticed I did not pick the tapes (yes, tapes) for the ops, only choosing others and 1 day I think she was a little upset with me and put me exclusively on ops for about 3 months. Can I say thank you now! I can yo-yo on ops, I don't have any saved so most of my are word by word but most of the physicians I transcribed say the same thing over and over. I have now worked on the same acct for 18 years and I just about know what they are going to say next. Easy money for me. Don't care for H&Ps nor DS, they only slow me down.
Who's your fave Beatle?
John, Paul, George & Ringo - my fave is John. So creative and brilliant - such a senseless loss...
She's my fave, too. I don't force anyone into my car either.

What is your fave browser?
Mine is Firefox - love how fast it is, plus tabbed browsing rules! Much better and safer than old Internet Explorer, I must say. BTW, the newest version of Firefox comes out today (free download) which is supposed 2B even better!
My fave's VEGAS!

Anything Vegas is romantic to me......

Go there and find the best suite you can at one of the finer hotels; i.e., Bellagio, Mandalay Bay,  Wynne, and then make reservations at some of the five-star restaurants - then top it off with a fine show, a few hands of black jack, a couple of Black Russians, and a helicopter ride over the strip at night, then if you have time, go to the top of the Stratosphere at their lounge and have another Black Russian.  That view is TOTALLY romantic!

Whereever you choose, though, I have you have a totally romantic time!

here's one fave from my archives...sm
i had a young neurosurgeon dictating an extremely complicated brain surgery while on his cell phone in his sports car...all of a sudden i hear the engine screaming (sounded like a ferrari!) and him saying, "sh**...I gotta make this light, hold on..." which was followed by nothing but ENGINE noise for a few seconds, then a brief pause, and he calmly continued dictating his complex report...talk about multitasking...i'll never forget that one. :)
My husband's fave........
A good steak and angel hair/broccoli/shrimp on the side. I make it like a scampi and pour over the angel hair/broccoli. Bon appetit!
ER reports are my fave

They are always different and therefore interesting, and the docs always seem in a hurry so they talk fast and I fly through them which makes the line counts rack up really fast.

What's your fave Beatle song?
Hey Jude 4 me!
my fave: How to lose a guy in 10 days (nm)
also the wedding planner.
Very HOT!!!!
my fave movie too....but not for Costner...nm

or this one is my fave tons of work..

There usually is for thre first three months at most..then nothing.  I have no problem working on the hard accounts, but when it gets down to $30-$50 a day at most, it gets very frustrating.  One spends all day logging in a looking for work to find one or two jobs.  When you can't pay your bills, you have to move on.  I want to find a company that consistently has the work...have yet to find it.....

I want to learn Spanish so when go to my fave

Smoky Mtns are my NEXT fave place in US!..sm
Spent a lot of time in TN, Smokies back in the 80s, when my child was little....Dollywood, biscuits and gravy, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, I love TN and NC.  Probably my 2nd fave place in the US.
This is my all-time fave. You can do partial names also
and it will list all the doctors with the same names, and then you choose the appropriate one. I cut and paste the doc's name and addresses into letters. Super easy.

dinner at her fave restaurant, with LOTS of camers, and everybody bring their own ideas.

music
I am a child of the 80's and felt like I couldn't be burdened with finding gigs. I am an accomplished pianist (A little rusty at 43) but I love music where there is only piano playing. Does DH like Elton John, Billy Joel, (ok - stretch -KC & JoJo's version of Lately), and Stevie Wonder. Nothing like a man and his piano.
Can't get into her music?
I don't know why not. Her and Mellancamp sound just as bad.
Aah, music...
Taking a break.  Listening to some tunes to relax.  I think some other people should too.  Anyone ever heard of Jill Scott or Erykah Badu?  Common?
Yay! Me too! MUSIC!
I agree with that, music makes my world so much brighter! I throw on some Stevie Wonder and I can't help but cheer up!
Music
Yep, I love the 50's-60's music.   Makes me want to move.
music sm
I have a 5-disc CD changer that goes all day while I am working. All music types. I love it! Need the extra noise!
music
I like total quiet while transcribing. But if I'm doing some other kind of "busy" work in my office like filing or more of a data-entry-type job I can do mindlessly, I find that some classical, light jazz or easy-listening type music helps me be more productive.
What kind of music? nm

Music downloads
I have a music site with Burnlounge
http://burnlounge.com/mlbliss
and they are a legal dowload site :)
Music downloads

I have an online musicstore with Burnlounge at http://burnlounge.com/mlbliss and they are LEGAL to download from.

I would be very careful dowloading free music--they are fining people for this.  If you aren't paying for it--then consider it illegal

Music in the background
I have to turn on my music in the background. It is just distracting enough to force me to focus on my dictator..sounds crazy doesn't it?! That is for the boredom. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm not working and my mind is just drifting off. For the inconsistent income, I have a side income not involved in MT and when things get slow here, I just switch my focus to my other at-home business. Good luck to you!
No loud music at all. It is more sm

like soothing music you would get with yoga.  A lot of people like Windsor Pilates.  I personally did not care for them.  I LOVE Denise Austin's pilates DVDs.  I have a couple.  One has a 30-minute workout and then I have one that is Hit the Spot in which the work outs are only 10 minutes.  I will do one of the core or abdomen ones in the a.m. and then do a lower bod one later in the day.

Pilates do wonders for your strength, toning, flexibility.  I have been doing them off and on for years.  If I stop doing them for a few months and come back, I can tell the different in my flexibility and strength in just about 4 work outs.  I do them about 3 times a week.

Instant Music
You might want to look into a product called Instant Music - its designed to convert cassette recordings to digital files and is very inexpensive.
Soothing music
We all have some dictators that we would like to strangle.  However, I find it very helpful to play New Age or other soothing music in the background while I do transcription.  Not loud enough to disturb but just there to soothe my nerves when these dictators upset me.
Absolutely must have music - sm
If you haven't tried it already, sign up for a free Pandora Radio account.

You can design your own stations based on their recommendations or create your own and have commercial free music all day long.

If I have a dictator who is a very quiet talker, I just click over and pause my radio station. You can also adjust the volume separate from your dictation, which is really nice. Low as you want, loud as you need! :)

I have three stations that I have created to suit my moods.

Check it out. www.pandora.com
How to listen to music on CPU - sm
Am looking for a site that allows you to listen to a track or so on an album/CD without downloading it. Any ideas? Thank you.
Music alternatives for ACDC..sm

My 9yo grandson is into ACDC. I want to turn him on to some alternatives. I am downloading some music for a Xmas present for him and need some suggestions as to something a 9yo ACDC fan might enjoy. Thanks.

What is the best music download site. Need to

be able to burn CDs too.    We don't have iPods.

Tried iTunes - liked it, but since we don't have Apple products not sure it will work for us.

Tried Wal-Mart - liked it, but songs are only good for 30 days unless you burn.  I like to burn, but usually have that CD in the car and like to play off the computer too.

Various others that have a monthly fee charge additional $$ if you burn to CD and then if you discontinue the service supposedly all MP3 files are rendered inactive.

We range from 11 to 48 and like a variety of music, also like something user friendly.

I need a chart where they list all the services and the pros and cons of each.

Nope, and no music on, either! Must have silence! :) nm
