Organized unions can't even get stuff done through a strike. Only a small percentage of all MTs even come to boards like this and I don't think organization is even possible.

I served as my local AAMT chapter president for a few years, trying to at least work with the system we had, trying to interest MTs in the outside world and the trends therein and no one had the time, the money or the inclination to join and become involved. They were either already disillusioned with the national organization, or they just didn't care.

I got tired and I gave up a few years ago. I work for a small service, I put in my time, I do good work, and that's it. I gave up tilting at windmills.
