Bush is a black liberationist Marxist, too.

So, let me get this straight.  Obama is proposing a tax rebate funded by an oil company windfall profits tax.  President Bush's economic stimulus checks were also tax rebates, but they were funded by tax payers.  By the "logic" (and I use the term loosely) in your "all do respect" post below, wouldn't that qualify as redistribution of wealth and make Bush a black liberationist theological Marxist/Socialist?  Please help me out with this.

The Bush redistribution of wealth is free market capitalism because it was funded by all of us, but Obama's similar policy scheme is black liberationist Marxist/Socialism because it redirects huge oil company profits back to the consumers who generate those profits for them in the first place?  After all, we ALL pay for gas, too.  So instead of energy cost relief for all of us, you think it is more appropriate for all that dough to be used to bankroll golden parachutes for oil company CEOs?  If that's capitalism in its purest form, it sucks and I want no part of it.  Sign me up for a little socialism.  Maybe those black liberationist theologians are onto something after all.

So, Ronald Reagan is a black liberationist
The windfall profits tax was not actually a tax on profit. Please read up on it's history. It was an excise tax which was enacted April 2, 1980, during the last year of the Carter administration. Interesting to note that it was not repealed until August 23, 1988. It stayed in effect for 7 years, 4 months and 21 days under Ronald Reagan; in other words, for 92% of his entire time in office. So does that make Ronald Reagan a Marxist/socialist black liberationist too?
Conservatives believe Bush didn’t act in time because God told him to get rid of poor black people

on welfare and old people on Social Security because they cost taxpayers too much money.

A radio talk show host just said that…and I agree. They can’t admit that Bush has shown us all how he will refuse to protect Americans in a national emergency, even though he used that as a campaign promise, and that Bush doesn’t even have to care any more since he can’t be President again. I hope they can live with their collective conscience. That is if they have one. I’m starting to believe they don’t.

They are socialist/Marxist. That has been the...
mantle of the DNC for years, growing steadily worse. They employ the Alinsky method...read up on it. Obama not only embraces it, he taught it.

It is built on class warfare. You find out what bothers people most, then you rabble rouse. Whatever that sore is, you make it more sore. And you blame whatever institution you are trying to take down. With Hitler it was Jews. With socialists it is "the rich." You make people think the cause of ALL their problems is either (Jews or big nasty corporations). Here it is big nasty corporations. They have fed people this for so many years they have bought into it. People actually think big evil corporations are the cause of everything bad that happens to them.

Saul Alinsky himself summed it up (paraphrasing): "It doesn't matter if it is true or not. It just matters if you can make them believe it."

Basically, in order to keep people voting for them, they have to keep people thinking that the big bad corporations are the cause of all the problems, and they say we are going to take from them and give to you and you have to do nothing to receive that other than keep voting for them. In recent years it has been changed to evil corporations and evil Republicans, and it is working, you see it demonstrated on this board every day. Most of these people really don't even know how corporations figure into our economy. They just know they're "evil." They hate a whole portion of society (Christians, conservatives, etc.) because they are "evil" and the cause of all their problems. Socialism 101. They have practiced it well...they have a lot of believers.
Marxist/socialist? Please. You are just being...sm
inflammatory. He is a liberal democrat, period. If I had called McCain a fascist would you not be insulted. Can we have some brains here? Next thing you will be calling him a communist. Good grief!
She did NOT say Obama was Marxist.
She said that he believed in redistribution of wealth (and he does, said so himself) and how is the NOT Marxist? All Biden had to do was explain how it was not Marxist.

As to people in the campaign saying she is a rogue diva...when those "people in the campaign" are named I would come closer to believing it. If they did, I don't give a darn, because I am glad she is not as "yes" person and has a mind of her own. We need MORE of that in Washington. Not someone who toes the party line, unlike Obama who is in lockstep with the DNC and George Soros.
Sam's Marxist dogma.

Ever heard of the progressive tax system...the one the US has ALWAYS had?  That would be the same (regressive) tax system that redistributes wealth from top to bottom.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_tax_in_the_United_States#History_of_progressivity_in_federal_income_tax

Check out the table here to see the history of progressive tax structure in the US and notice how much MORE of a percentage of tax the top income brackets have paid in the past as compared to what Obama is proposing.  Pay special attention to the prevailing rates between 1932 and 1981.

The vast majority of US economists (81%) support this tax structure.  Before income tax was enacted, Theodore Roosevelt (McCain's hero) strongly advocated for progressive tax.  McCain has made no mention of repealing or changing its basic structure.  Your Marxist arguments about Obama's tax proposals are embarrassingly ill-informed, especially in view of the fact that Obama simply wants to restore the top bracket tax rate that was in effect in 2000 when Bush assumed office (39.6%).  That is hardly excessive, in view of US history which informs us that in the past, it has been as high as a whopping 94% and that same bracket rate ranged between 63% and 94% for 49 years (1932 to 1981) of the 95 years we have been paying income tax.

By your logic, we are already a socialist country, and we have had 7 socialist republican presidents.  NOT.

Nope, no Marxist, communists have ...

come forward claiming that Palin is "a believer".  But I have seen some articles that she is not as for reform in politics as she wants us to think.  When she was elected mayor it seems that she fired the police chief because he didn't support her in the election.  Also, she had asked the librarian about censoring books.  I have read conflicting stories on whether that librarian was fired or not, but both articles mentioned she wanted books taken out of the library.  Palin claims it was just "rhetoric".  She also left the town with a huge amount of debt, I believe $20 mill. when she her mayoral duties were done.  She also supposedly hired some lobbyists.

Before I get bashed about Obama's same-ole, same-ole, I am not disputing that fact either.

That is why the Marxist message works with them...
let's take it from all those nasty people who are doing better than me (who incidentally worked hard to earn it) and don't make me do a thing to get it. Class warfare. Classic Marxism. Trouble is, they don't recognize it.
Well, actually he leans more Marxist than socialist...
I did not know that until I studied up on it. However...I have always said I do not agree with McCain on everything and this is certainly one of those things.
Because he's not a Marxist socialist for one thing....
lol.
It is not the tax that is the issue....and please read up on the Marxist ideal of re-
distribution of wealth. Not once during those 7 years was the money from those taxes redistributed to taxpayers in $1000 checks. The Marxist principle is the redistribution of wealth, which is exactly what Obama is proposing.
Obama - more Marxist/Socialist/Communist

After Iowa

Happy New Year and congratulations on a job well done. These have been trying times when the hyenas of war have again been turned loose on humanity by a greedy ruling class.

Now, beyond all the optimism I was capable of mustering, Mr. Obama won Iowa! He won in a political arena 95 percent white. It was a resounding defeat for the manipulations of the ultra-right and their right-liberal fellow travelers. Also it was a hard lesson for liberals who underestimated the political fury of the masses in these troubled times.

Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle. Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. This is the old revolutionary “mole,” not only showing his traces on the surface but also breaking through.

The old pattern of politics as usual has been broken. It may not have happened as we expected it to happen but what matters is that it happened. The message is clear: we can and must defeat the ultra-right, by uniting the broadest possible coalition that will represent an overwhelming majority of the people in a new political dynamic. We must quickly shed yesterday’s political perspective and get in step with the march of events.

You can march in lock step with the Marxist...
socialist idea of "equal opportunity for all Americans" if you like. He was the member of a church for 20 years that preached black liberation theology. It is NOT about equal opporunity for ALL Americans. Programmed is right. Get with it? Not in this lifetime.
A BIG WELCOME TO FOUR YEARS OF SOCIALIST/MARXIST STATE
and his democrats. Just you wait
You're a good little communist/socialist/marxist in your rhetoric..nm

Even a black man..(sm)

*there is a great many people ready to believe in anything, even a black man from a corrupt Chicago political machine with a nice smile and pretty words. *

Yes, it is a historic event for a black man to become president, as is readily recognized and rightfully so.  However, the OP used *even a black man* in what can only be described as a derogatory manner.  -- ready to believe in anything -- even a black man -- followed by more derogatory comments.  To read a statement like this that was obviously meant to be demeaning and pick out one aspect and try to paint that as an innocent description is ridiculous.  Do you really think she meant to add a compliment in the midst of that statement?  I think not.  In fact, even the phrase *with a nice smile and pretty words* was meant as a sarcastic representation.  I'm not making a mountain out of a mole hill here.  This was obviously a racist statement.  If Obama were white do you think the post would have included the statement *even a white man?*  Of course it wouldn't.  Why do you think that is?  I think the OP managed to show her true colors on this one, whether or not she even realized it.

LOL! Yes, black and white =
only. Too bad it's not a black and white, good or bad world. The you're either with us or against us philosophy has not served us well in the world community and here at home your patriotism is questioned simply because you ask questions. But it's our mission to spread democracy. God help us.
this looks like you are comparing a black
person to a "retarded" person, which makes YOU look bad. -and have some respect for the office, please. Talking like a 5-year-old does not help your own cause.

He is both black AND white.
Not that it matters and your not the only one but people keep referring to Barack as a "black" man without acklowdeging that he is also half white (50/50). His mother was as white as they come. I don't feel we are electing a black man (or a white man). I feel we are electing a capable man.
yep - black humor
Actually, I thought it was hilarious when he said it.......but I'm a pretty easy going, laid back person. I saw the comedy in it.
Or as Louis Black would say...
"They deserve to be as miserable as the rest of us!"
Love Mr. Black!
No one is afraid of him because he is black....
it is a valid concern that he is a racist.

However, his far left socialism is more concerning to me than his racism.
Vote just because he/she is black - sm

Is just as wrong as not voting for because he/she is black

I am afraid that too many folks casting their votes will be doing it for these reasons, and that is scary

what does black and white have to do with it?
s
Nothing to do with black or white there....has to do
!
I wish McCain was a black man.

I personally feel the McCain hasn't been able to attack Obama like he should because they are too afraid of the race card being played.....and let's face it.....the race card is being played as it is.

He does not need to LOOK for black vote.
Already addressed this Selma junk yesterday. Know how many black feel patronized? Don't make me have to go dig up my post from yesterday that already put this garbage to rest. It will embarrass you.
do you think if she were black it would have matter?
So sad.
Black and White
People and organizations often try to condense life into a black and white little box. It's way too gray for that.

One thing I discovered as I got older ... just because people or organizations come on strong doesn't mean they know what they are talking about or have good ideas.

I was always shy and figured the people who were forceful were such because the knew their $#it. Sooo not true. :)
I admit that I am not black.

I guess you could say I have not walked in a black person's shoes.  However, don't for one second think that I have never felt racism.  I've seen the glares and dirty looks aimed in my direction by black people.  I've given smiles to strangers who instead of smiling back would glare hatefully at me.  I've said, "I have a nice day," to people who have either given me a dirty look or turned their back to me.

I was at a hospital visiting my dying father when I left with my son to get something to eat.  My son is very young and has a developmental delay.  A black mother and her daughter walked onto the elevator with us.  My son, not knowing any better, looked at the little girl and commented that she was brown.  Without even thinking I said, "Yes she is.  Isn't she beautiful!"  The mother gave me the dirtiest look.

Well, I hear that something like 95% of black

He chose to be more black
He said so himself in his book.
Black? You mean muslim.

Anybody see the Black Panther
arguing with the Fox reporter in Philadelphia.  Yeah, I would feel comfortable going there to vote.  What is wrong with these people.  Why can't people just go vote honestly with none of the scams and crap going on, and see who the MAJORITY of citizens want for our next President?  This whole thing is absurb!  Glad I live in a small town, no lines, no bull*****
Those of us that aren't black could
never understand in a million years what this election to means to many black people.  Just 40 years ago, they could not even vote.  Obama never referred to himself as being akin to MLK -- that tag was put on him by others as a standard for the few black people in our society that have been held up as examples of what any human being can accomplish if given the opportunity.  I ask you, if you or your ancestors (blacks, Jews, etc.) had been held in slavery for hundreds or thousand of years, being treated as non-humans, would you not consider it a victory to finally be recognized as an equal?  Get over your self-righteous indignation and accept it for what it is -- a progressive step forward long overdue.
I think it's official.....gay is the new black (sm)
It amazes me that we can take such a huge step as we did in the general election and yet at the same time take away someone else's rights.  I hope this goes to the supreme court.
Oh boy, now that we have a black president
Now, if say, Chris Rock had made that comment, you're going to tell me you would still find that bad? That guys says plenty of racist things and I can guarantee you many on this board would be laughing at any racist comment he makes. They just won't admit it.
Black Friday
That was so terrible!!  I cannot believe that people are so greedy and thoughtless as to create such bedlam...there was no need for something like this to happen.  I hope they find the person responsible and throw them under the jail.  I think BF should be outlawed.  I once went shopping a day after Thanksgiving many years ago and have not since - people pulling items out of others' hands, people cursing at one another...I felt so bad for the people running out the checkout counter.  One checkout girl was so frazzled she began to cry because one of the people in line told her she was 'too slow', and went on to threaten this poor lady..it's a sad commentary on our society, and even sadder that there is a family in mourning because people don't know how to behave in public
Even Black Friday..........sm
wasn't the success the retailers had hoped for. There were several articles over the weekend sayin that, while there fairly good turnouts, it wasn't the big kick-off they expected.
To Ashamed Black MT:

I wholeheartedly agree with JTBB.  I think people see different things when they see Obama.

What I see is someone who is also half WHITE.  I see someone who wouldn't even have been allowed to EXIST in this country not very long before he was born because interracial marriage was against the law.  I see how far our country has come, despite all the bigots and racists, some of which obviously linger (but hopefully will go by the way of the dinosaur).

Most of all, I see someone who represents the BEST in most of us, instead of the LEAST in the few of us.  By acknowledging my EXISTENCE (and I'm white) as someone in America who isn't a millionaire, by acknowledging the EXISTENCE of a healthcare problem and by acknowleding the EXISTENCE of all the other problems that plague people who were once part of the almost extinct middle class, he is acknowledging the existence of most of us, which is much more than has been done by the Republicans during either the last eight years or even during the 2008 Presidential campaign.

I have great faith in him, especially when I see him with his children, that he truly wants what is best for everyone in this country.  I have no idea why so many people are so threatened by him.  I truly see hope for a better future, even though I've been "programmed" to live on edge and wonder what the "President" is doing next to stick it to the little guy.  Hopefully, I'll get over that "reflex," and hopefully he won't give me a reason to question or criticize him.

I'd say that's the pot calling the kettle black, gt. sm
It's not up to you to judge who is Christian and who is not.  Anyone who wishes for someone to burn in hell along with his family has no business especially judging anyone's Christianity.  Good Lord.
Pot..kettle..black, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Please post where I have made a *generalization about everything*?  LOL, that in itself is a wild broad generalization by you..er..which one are you today??  Cant keep track, changing your handle every few posts..Continue on with your lies, misrepresentations and extremely board generalizations..I need a good laugh this afternoon.
are we ready for a black president?

black prez remark

My, how classy.  That so-called retardate graduated Yale & Harvard.  Now who's retarded?  Bill Clinton is plenty of things, too, but stupid, retarded, etc. are things that I've never heard a conservative say...ever.

I'll let Chris Rock lie in the gutter with his money and his filthy mouth.

Class always speaks for itself.

Go on line and read up on the black...
liberation theology, which is central to the teaching of his Trinity church, of which he has been a member for 20 years. Look at the "economic parity" part of it. If you think Hilary has socialist leanings...Barack is way to the left of her on that score. His little lets do a windfall profits tax on oil and take that money and redistribute it in $1000 energy rebates. That, my friend, is socialist to the hilt, redistribution of wealth, taking from those who legally made the money and giving it to those who did nothing to earn it. Extreme socialism. He is already calling for it and doesn't have the job yet.

And yes, I think that kind of thinking and action could destroy America as we know it. America is built on free enterprise, the freedom to be and do what you want to be, through hard work and dedication move up in the world and if you become rich, more power to you! We can't all become rich, but let me tell you, I don't blame the rich for being rich. I am responsible for my own destiny and I do not expect an oil company or Bill Gates or anyone else to share their wealth with me and I sure don't think the government should be taking from them and giving to me. That is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Also...look into what happened to the US economy when Carter issued a windfall profit tax on oil companies during his administration....BIG mistake. All that will do is discourage domestic production and drilling, and what happens then? INCREASED dependence on foreign oil and prices through the roof.

All Obama is doing is playing that old socialist trick of pandering to the have nots in the world who want to blame the "rich" for everything. By the way, Obama is by no means poor...why doesn't he divy out some of his bucks to the have nots? Put his money where his mouth is so to speak. You know why? Because it is a lot easier to give someone else's money away and keep yours...another typically elitist socialist ideal. We will keep all OUR money, we will just take some of THEIR money and dole it out to the have nots to keep the have nots beholden to us, thus insuring our control over them for the future.

No thanks.
black and white thinking

in other words seeing someone as all bad or all good is not an indicator of high intelligence.  Beware.

Don't know how you can accuse me of only seeing black and white...
in view of all these posts. You really think calling someone a redneck and Nascar and a religious wacko is appropriate way to talk about issues?

They quote the bill of rights but ignore the one about freedom of religion...they hawk choice but you mention choice of the child and they tear the hide off you in strips...usually telling you to go back to your church, bible-thumper, etc., as if all pro-life people are grounded in religion. THat is simply NOT the truth...there are liberal pro-lifers who believe ALL life is sacred...and not from a liberal point of view, but a moral one.

And you can still post to me that to ME everything is black and white. I am perfectly willing and have been perfectly willing to debate issues. THey just do not tolerate a dissenting opinion, if you debate policies they take it as a personal affront to Obama...what was that you said about total agreement with a platform...?

No, frankly, I don't see it. But there will probably be more posts after yours high-fiving you for lecturing me.

Have a good evening.

What This Democratic Primary Has Taught Me...

Hillary is a conservative democrat.

McCain is a moderate republican.

Obama is a liberal socialist that will keep my race, blacks, looking for a means to become whole citizens, never finding a way and eventually becoming as content as before him in their victimhood.

You do realize there is the Black Republican
Many of them are Christians as well and they are black. They do not want Obama in office and they will not mix words when it comes to telling you what they think of Muslims who want to "kill you". You need to wake up and stop this PC nonsense.....look where it's gotten us to date.

Why do you feel sorry for Obama's little girls?
