I turned on the news after discussing this today, and there is a man locally that has collected thousands of beanie babies to send over to the soldiers so they can given them out to the children. I have no clue if he's really allowed to do that, but his heart is there and so are the soldiers' that agreed to do it. This is what the guy said:

"If this can bring about an appreciation to an American soldier, whose give them the toy along with some candy and some food, then this child is a lot less likely to grow up and be a terrorist,"

Maybe a little optimistic that a child would be that easily swayed :), but how crazy that I saw that on the same day we're talking about the children of Iraq?

amazing to me is that many of these radical hateful statements come from people who shout loud and clear what good Christians they are. It makes me sick to my stomach.
