NO PLUNGE TO IT!

So, you know people from Pakistan and Jordan? Those places are like Disneyland compared to Beirut and Armenia, especially Jordan where things are a little "lighter." You must have been fortunate to have known people from the middle east with similar values.

The ones I know are like this: If you are at a family gathering and the room is full and there is no place to sit and a man walks in he claps his hands at you and you are to stand up and give him your seat. It is understood that you will do this. If your daughters or wife "shame" you they are punished and are reminded if in the old country they could have you stoned to death. If you are a man and "shame" your father, likewise you are taken care of and punished, even in public. I know one man I went to college with who can never go "home" to Iraq because his father would have him dealt with because while here he married an American girl.

I still don't think you are following me on this. It is not just the government policies that they are against, it is our very way of life, our values, our religion, and on and on, including the fact that we draw breath. You cannot take their "friendliness" at face value. They put up a good front in public and especially in business dealings, but what they really think is a whole other story.

I would like to see more American Muslims stand up and state their beliefs outright and if they truly want to stay here they need to back up America and its policies, OUR RIGHT to OUR OWN religions, respect for us and our religions, and to quit expecting special treatment because they are Muslims and are "offended." After all, we did not force them here, they chose to be here. Since that was their choice they need to adjust and absorb OUR culture, not vice versa. They need to respect women and children. They need to respect our constitution and be willing to defend it against all enemies.

As for wanting war, only a foolish person would want a war, but there will always be wars somewhere. You can kick and scream, rant and rave, whatever you want and you can't change it. All you can truly do is pray and trust in our leaders. They deserve respect and support from all of us.
