Well, then explain to us how voting for a write-in
Nobody ever agrees completely with ANY candidates full agenda. You pretty much have to look for the main ideas that matter to you most, at that particular point in history. Sometimes you have to vote for those, and let other principles ride for a while. Not easy, and I HATE letting anything slide in order to vote for what is a more pressing issue to me. But the 'perfect candidate' has not, does not, and never will exist. So we've gotta do the best we can with what we've got to work with.
Many repubs voting for Obama in my experience..OR NOT VOTING ..only
only a few stragglers left, like the 26 percent who don't hate Bush.

Most people voting for Obama are voting on emotion...sm
You may be the exception.

All that matters is hope and change. At what cost, my friend, at what cost, will your hope and change come at.

He will try to change the very foundation of this country, the constitution, and our very way of life.

If I wanted that, I'd move back to Russia where some of my ancestors came from.

I can recognize socialism and Marxism, even if half the country cannot.

They only care for hope. And change.

really, and you are voting for obama? then he is going to take...

from you too. DH and I aren't voting for him because of the taxes he is raising on the 250K an up. You should be worried too if your income is in that range like ours.

With all due respect, I am voting for Obama, not his

Barack Obama addresses issues that mean the most to me.  Simple as that.  His wife seems to be a caring mother and caring human being in general who is intelligent and well educated.  I think those are great qualities for a first lady.

Obama inspires me with his speeches.  He reminds me of JFK in that way.  He won't fly on private jets because his vote has not been purchased by any large corporations, and he does not want to give that appearance.  In other words, I do not think he has been corrupted by money and greed, and in Washington that says a lot!!  When I look at the big picture he is my #1 choice.  Go Obama.   Sorry, couldn't resist the cheerleader! :)

57% obama; still voting for McCain
Some things like abortion, death penalty and guns really aren't as important as my taxes and his spending of my taxes.
Everyone here knew you were voting Obama
Your phony posts have been full of crap from day one.

Every single post you've made here has bashed Republicans and praised that spider monkey obama.

Perhaps MTs who can't find a job STINK AT THEIR JOBS!!!! If you don't have work, do't blame the Republicans. Get some education and fix the problem yourself.

Stop beggining big government to fix your own shortcomings!!!!!
My reason for not voting for Obama...
he is going to raise DH and my taxes. Yes, we make a very good living through having a good work ethic, not living above our means and working for everything that we have. We have never had to rely on the gov't to give us a handout and we don't expect one. We put ourselves through school with loans that we paid back, we pay for our own health insurance, we paid for daycare when the kids were little, we didn't expect the gov't to give us a thing; we were taught early on that you work hard to achieve your goals and we have. I don't need a president telling my DH and I that we have to "spread our wealth" around to those less fortunate than us. WE decide who to give our money to and when. There will be on incentive to work hard if Obama is elected; laziness will be rewarded. We shouldn't be bailing out big corporations at all, nor should we bail out every homeowner who bought more than they could afford and now expect help. While there are some circumstances that do merit help such as medical reasons or job loss, most are due to financial irresponsibility on the homeowners part. The American Dream is out there if you work for it, but Obama will make sure if you acheive it you must carry someone on your back who doesn't deserve it.
I am not voting for Obama. Are you really that ignorant? nm
x
I hope you voting for Obama, did you?..nm
nm
Feel the same and wont be voting for Obama. nm
nm
Color blind here and voting for Obama. However, sm
I heard on the news today that people saying they will not vote for him because he is a Muslim (he is not) because it it politically incorrect to say they will not vote for him because he is black. I think that no one on this board will admit to not voting for him because he is black, the Bradley effect is alive and well I think.
I agree - I'm a democrat too, but not voting for Obama nm
x
obama's voting record on taxes
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/tax_tally_trickery.html
I'm voting for Obama. That's what I'm telling the pollsters.
x
Obama is superliberal by his voting record....
well documented.
And I am likewise not surprised you are voting for Obama. (nm)
nm
I am a lifelong Democrat and this makes me happy, I am not voting for Obama sm
I honestly DO NOT care what color his skin is! I also don't really care that Sarah Palin doesn't have a dingle dangle between her legs either. These things do NOT matter.

I would not vote for Obama because as far as I am concerned, he thinks he stands for being a minority. We are headed into another Depression or at least recession. Education in this country is a sick joke. The housing market is crashing. On and on. It is a LOT of gloom and doom and I can't see where Obama stands on ANYTHING. Milquetoast all the way around.

I am not exactly a McCain fan. I met him in 1976, not so very long after he returned from Vietnam. I was a kid and he had a profound impact. I am NOT a Republican, I DO NOT like their platform and I am NOT a conservative...but by golly I will vote for him. I think he can do the job and I think he has ideas. Some of them are wrong to be sure, but he HAS SOME.

As for Sarah Palin, she is not afraid of much I suspect. She wasn't afraid to bring a Down syndrome child into the world and commit to raising him. She had young ones at home, but that didn't stop her going up for office. Fearless and gutsy, brave and standing behind her convictions, such as no abortions...yes I can respect her even if I don't agree with her.

I looked at a picture of her and I saw someone who will likely BE president, and not the VP in the fullness of time. I saw a REAL woman, not a fake, not a politician. Can she be president without making mistakes? No, but no one else can either. She knows what it is to run a household, so yes I think she can run the country. A woman can tell you it is just the same, only bigger and that isn't important to please all the children all the time, but to get the job DONE.
Commentary: Voting against Obama doesn't make you a racist...sm

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/09/beck.issues/index.html
just as i hope African American's aren't voting for Obama for that reason!
NM (i suppose that means "no more"? or something) im still a bit new to the board!
There are other choices. I find Obama and McCain equally offensive, so I am voting for Ralph Nader.
Bob Barr might also be a good choice.
Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is still voting for evil. sm
The 2 main choices are horrible. They only offer a continuation of the status quo. Nothing on bringing the troops home (now not 5 years from now), no sound monetary policy, reinstating our civil liberties, etc. Third party candidates have better platforms. People should be voting principles over party, or you deserve whatever you get.
I want change. Chump change. I'm voting for Obama as far as the pollsters go.

Obama is change you can believe in until you have to take it to the bank.

Our jobs have been offshored until now because of greed.  Under Obama and his taxation of small businesses, they will be offshored not because of greed but because of survival.

You could make a difference for our country by not voting for Obama, but instead, if you vote for him, you are selling out to deception.  You are embracing a socialist, a communist, a Marxist, a liar, a cheat, and someone who legally cannot run as President of the U.S., much less the Illinois senate.  But, you make your choice.  You believe the consumate liar and his lies who sat for 20 years under the teachings of a black racist preacher filled with hatred for the U.S., whose association with Bill Ayers is recent and documented down to the fact that Ayers himself wrote Obama's best-selling book (best-selling in the eyes of far left liberals that is), who is a documented member of the socialist party, whose friends and close allies are extremists who not only bomb innocent people and are unrepenetent but who intend to eliminate (kill) 25 million Americans who they cannot "re-educate" in communist ideaology (gosh dog it, those dreadful capitalists), who refuses to hand over a certified copy of his birth certificate and educational records (my goodness, don't you have to provide your birth certificate to any number of entities who want to know if you are legal, i.e., social security, DMVs, etc., and your educational records would show if you had received aid as a foreigner and in 1963 would have shown you were a negro instead of an African-American which Obama's falsified record shows, please speck up on history), and who thinks Joe the Plumber is so stupid not to realize that if he wants to achieve the American dream, he is going to achieve it only if he lets Obama take what he makes to give to those WHO WILL NOT WORK.  I'd like to see you, liberals, give a share of your 7.5 cpl to those who don't work as hard as you, but then with Obama, that's what you will have to do.  Don't be fooled by his rhetoric that only those making over $250,00 will be taxed.  We will all be taxed, and there will be no incentive to work for any of us because we will all have to give up a piece of our pie so those who do not work can have a piece of our pie.

Here is the dividing line, folks.  We are at a crossroads in our history.  The Lord Jesus puts it this way, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction; and there are many who go in by it."

Choose which gate you enter, the wide or the narrow.  It not only determines your eternal destination, but it determines the destination of this country.  If anyone here calls themself a Christian and can vote for Osambo, I daresay you are a liar and cheat just as he.  One cannot be a Christian and vote for a party and a political candidate who is in total rebellion to God's Word.  That is a fact, and if you think any differently, then you, too, like the Obamanation, call God a liar.  May He have mercy upon your soul.  As He makes the rain fall on the just and the unjust because He is no respector of persons, we will all suffer as this country is destroyed and our Constitution that guarantees our freedoms is trampled just as Bill Ayers is pictured standing upon our flag in total disrespect, and we will thank you liberals that we are all in bondage, reduced to third world status, just as the Israelites were in Egypt.  Only Obama ain't no Moses but a Muslim and has no favor with God, and there will be no one to lead us to the Promised Land coming from the Democratic party.

Voting present and not voting, who has
the highest record in DC of simply not voting - McCain. Yes, Obama is up there too but ole' McCain is #1 for no votes.
How many did it take to write this note?
Just wondering.
I know you didn't write it. sm
Another obvious glaring error.  Bill Clinton.  Not on the list.
They need to write a better bill
This is a mute point now, because the bill was vetoed by the Pres.and for good reason. Why do we have to accept bad bills? This was a poorly written bill, and that's the reason it was vetoed. Why all the vagueness? $83,000 per year is hardly poverty level. If this bill was truly going to help poor kids then write it that way. I don't understand why it has to be so vague. To me it reeks of dishonesty and pork.

Write a good understandable bill...what's the problem with that?
You need to write some more posts
on this board because you really seem to know what you are talking about. Maybe you can explain the popular vote versus the electorial vote to some of the people in posts further up that don't believe thier votes count.
Can't you still write in your vote for someone else?
because they don't like either candidate. Actually, I'm in that boat right now. I don't like either one of them. OTOH, I want to vote because it's my one chance to be "heard," even though I largely agree that the media and politicians have already chosen a president for us (look at Ron Paul--he was able to garner such a large following online where the media couldn't control the people that I think they were actually worried he'd throw a kink in their plan so he was basically shut out in the media). If they weren't trying to control our vote, why else do they shut out any coverage on certain candidates and cover every word said by others? Why wouldn't they just cover all equally and fairly? I'm looking into whether I can still write in a candidate other than the 2 yahoos the current media has chosen for us. Wouldn't it be wild if everyone wrote in someone else and that person won out over both of them? LOL I know, it's a dream, but still, it'd be really cool if that happened and showed the media and politicans of this country that USA is still run BY THE PEOPLE!
What possible write-in candidate has all the necessary
exists, then why were they not nominated?
Maybe he will just write a check... sm

That's what my son used to tell me to do when I told him I didn't have any money.  "Just write a check, Mommy,"

Levity, people........... LEVITY!!!!

Interestingly, you write:

"Obama is flying on the premise that he is innocent until proven guilty..."

That's what the Constitution you claim to support so much demands:  Innocent until proven guilty (and not a word about "flying on the premise" of same).

I'm just curious.  Once this bogus b/c issue is "officially" revealed as such by the SC, you have promised to let this issue go.

What's next on your list to pound this man into the ground about?  Because it's obvious that you're never going to give him an honest, fair chance to be a good president.  (He hasn't even been sworn in yet.)

So what's the next bogus issue on the agenda that will be raised to continue to try to drag him (and the country) down?

My last question:  Did you complain as vigorously about George W. Bush's blatant contempt for the Constitution that you claim to love so much?

The one who is going to write a book
for our country and how he kept our country safe for the last 7 years from terrorists. He could not state it while he was in office, but now he can write a whole book about him being in office. I felt much more secure with Bush than I will with O as he still scares me.
I was just going to write that. No message
x
I did not the write the post, CNN did.
I am glad Obama succeeded in a human life. Hopefully Obama will succeed in the 2 wars of many and the economy, etc. I am glad the Captain was rescued by the SEALs.
If you do not like what I write, MOVE ON.
Your own words. Stick to it and do as you preach.
My goodness - you'd better write and tell someone
Hardly quite that simple or people way smarter than you or I would have solved it. The studies on the effectiveness of preventive measures, incidentally, study people who DO participate in prevention - not those who don't.
you can write to the network
I did and let them know they should be embarrassed for pimping themselves out for this biased promotion instead of two-sided reporting on an issue and told them one less viewer would be looking to them for any attempt at fair reporting. There is a link on their website to contact them.
Relax, I didn't write it.
It was simply for amusement and speculation, not of scientific value.
The Democrats did not write this book.

A man who calls himself a **Christian conservative** did. He was I believe the #2 man on the **faith-based initiative program.** His name is David Kuo. He is a Republican. I think he will be on 60 minutes tonight. I have seen a couple of recognizable names from the Christian right denounce the white house after hearing some of the things Kuo writes. I am anxious to hear what Kuo himself says.

I am a Christian and I do not feel stiffled at all about voting.

Exactly...well, they did manage to write and get passed...
one piece of legislation...the "reform" bill that was supposed to straighten out Fannie/Freddie...instead was the straw that broke the camel's back...forced them to offer those floating rate mortgages to low and moderate income people and the creditworthiness of said people was not to be an issue. The floating rates went UP, and a bazillion people went into foreclosure, and if the Bush admin had not stepped in and taken over, the economy could very well have collapsed. The "reform" bill, plus the crooked Dems at the top of Fannie/Freddie, just about did us in this time. Other than that piece of legislation, they have not done a blessed thing in the year they have been in charge. That is why their approval rating is in the tank.
Boy, that never gets old. Never. You should write Osamabama's speeches.
nm
Don't worry, I'll still write. nm

I can't write too fast anymore, but here's what I did get

1. Fiscal Stimulus Plan: Before or after inauguration (sp). Wants to get it moving quickly, but if he has to wait until January 20, so be it, but states he will try during these couple months to push one through now.

2. Retooling assistance plan for automakers for fuel-effieicnt cars. He realizes that the auto industry employs thousands and other companies depend on the auto industry for their jobs. Wants this package done quickly.

3. Review implementaion of plans and not rewarding management for housing problems that are caused.

4. Grow middle class in the long term.

Reporters asked questions but couldn't get them all.

1. He wants to help the states financially.

2. As to going to other countries for conferences: He is developing a team and weighing all his options. Iran's nuclear weapons are unacceptable along with the militants. This has to cease. It's not something he can do in a knee-jerk fashion and wants to be careful (not to p--s them off).

3. Tax plan: 95% of WORKING Americans will get it. His first goal is tax relief for struggling families and to build the economy from the bottom up.

That's all I could get.

Hillary can write another book
And her debt will be wiped clean or pretty near to it. She just is greedy and wants everyone to pay for her expenses. Her and Bill make enough money to wipe out their (or her) debt.

This is ridiculous that the DNC is asking people to give for them. We're already going to be paying a ton for the bail outs they gave a few weeks ago.
M, did u write the post Vie is referring to?
