Meet Obama's bodyman: The White House 'Chief of Stuff' who caters to the President's every whim

Bipartisan (well, kind of) funny video on Hillary. Hope it works.

http://www.michaelhodges.com/hillary.html

Hope this works for you all, it's worth it!!

Here's a funny for you. Note the date.

James I. Blakslee

"Pledged to vote for Woodrow Wilson and support the reorganization of the Democratic Party"

"Democrats in every county in Pennsylvania have been betrayed times without number and to-day trickery and deception walk hand in hand to again mislead them"

"Canidates have been found, who, for a price, are willing to represent the twin-machine traitors."

"Every alert, active Democrat will easily detect the tricksters, and on Saturday, April 13th, 1912, between the hours of 2 PM and 8 PM, will register his vote for the Purification of this Party."

I get a kick out of that.

On the lighter side (maybe)

Not saying it is not truly bipartisan, but...
it is almost entirely funded by the Annenberg Foundation..

FactCheck.org is a nonprofit website[1] that describes its own goal as "[reducing] the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics". In its efforts, FactCheck claims to be nonpartisan.[2] It is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, and is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation.[2]

I found this on Annenberg:
Annenberg Foundation to Make Documents Related to Chicago Challenge Available

The Annenberg Foundation has announced that, along with the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, it will make available all materials related to its Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC).

CAC was part of the $500 million Annenberg Challenge for School Reform that, in the 1990s, brought together civic, business, and university leaders with foundations and other groups in support of school-improvement projects. Following recent news reports that have raised questions about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's role in the $50 million CAC project and the availability of materials related to it, the foundation has agreed to make all CAC-related documents available to the public by appointment. The majority of the documents are archived at the University of Illinois at Chicago, while others are located at the Annenberg Institute and the foundation's offices in Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Three summative studies of the Annenberg Challenge for School Reform published by the foundation and institute are available on the Annenberg Institute Web site: The Annenberg Challenge: Lessons and Reflections on Public School Reform (61 pages, PDF), Research Perspectives on School Reform: Lessons from the Annenberg Challenge (14 pages, PDF), and The Arts and School Reform: Lessons and Possibilities from the Annenberg Challenge Arts Projects (52 pages, PDF).

Not saying this would make them lean one way or the other...but this is where the money comes from.
Where is all of "O's" big bipartisan rhetoric now?
Obviously that is all it was....rhetoric.  Preached we had to work across the aisle...bipartisanship...to get things done.  And now, with the biggest crisis this country has faced in decades, and he has a chance to put his money where his mouth is...what does he do?  Decides what is best for Barack, and that is the tack he takes.  ANY credibility he had left with me is gone.
If you were really bipartisan you would not have to ask that question...sm
Just campare their experience and their records. I just hope that I won't eventually have to say I told you so.
They said instead of all the talk about it being a bipartisan

effort, it turned out to be a partisan effort (dems against pubs again).

Speaker Pelosi struck the tone of partisanship in this. Failure of Speaker Pelosi .... failure to listen, failure to lead.

94 dems voted NO!

They're going back to the drawing table.

Bipartisan politics at its best! LOL

May I be the first to offer resounding bipartisan

JM credibility on moderate inclusive bipartisan

One would imagine so he can get bipartisan 1st-hand info
It is appropriate that he continues exactly on the course he is following for the moment...cabinet building, prioritizing and preparing initiatives for day one so as to hit the gound running.
Knew it would happen. Bipartisan, my foot.

McCain's amendment that would only cost $450B and provide almost everything for the people failed. Ayes-40, Nayes 57. That's how much the Naysayers care for the people of this country.

I'd join the grassroots movement but I don't even have a car that would get me to  D. C.

Do you know what bipartisan is? Both sides made concessions in order to .sm
make it a reflection of bipartisanship so that both parties would be able to vote for it. Of course there will always be some people that will not be satisfied. That is the nature of things. However, to say that because Nancy Pelosi is responsible for the loss of votes because she made harsh statements about the Bush administration is just ridiculous.
When you have a bipartisan version of the bill to view...please enlighten us. nm

A bipartisan prayer request viewed as provoking hate.
by taking this kind of position and posting these kinds or rants.
On a serious note...

....I thank you for your response.  While I agree boxes probably arent' the best idea sometimes they make complicated ideologies a little simpler to understand, I guess.

Actually I would be very interested in learning all the posters on these boards beliefs/ideologies/hopes for the future.  I think we could do this without undermining each other or bashing.  Perhaps I'll post it at the top of the board some time as a new topic.

and on that note...
Who gained the most benefit from keeping it a secret, and/or keeping the rumor afloat that he is still out there somewhere?
Note to sam
Sam, just wondering if when you post a legitimate question on the board could you please change your name. It seems like anything you ask anymore people are bashing you. You put up some very good questions (sorry can't answer this one as I'm not knowlegable enough to know what the outcome would be -it's all too confusing), but it seems as though people are going to attack you for anything. Now if there is an argument you want to make that's one thing, but its not right that you put up a question and people are attacking you for that. - just a suggestion.
One more note
Was curious to see what people would say to my post. I expected the O supporters to bash me for my opinion. That's the way this board is run, but I was curious so came back. For all of you thinking this is one sided - I voted for Obama! I supported Obama! I donated money to his campaign. I fought tooth and nail on this board to defend Obama. I got into some rough ones with some of the republicans on this board. But as time has gone on I have researched and learned more about Obama and I do not like what I am finding out. I come to this board to hopefully get some insightful information and it IS mostly the democrats bashing and attacking posters who are for McCain. I would say 95% dems bashing republicans and 5% republicans defending themselves by coming back at the posters who originally bashed them. Facts are facts and its in black and white on this board. And they bash Palin without cause. I just say it like it is (sorry you don't like to admit it). Like the poster below said - guess only half the pixels on your monitor work.

If you had any type of open mind you would read through every single post and you would see the Obama supporters bashing the McCain supporters more, calling them every name in the book while in the same breath saying its all them against you (and the posts below are proof of that). The posts below show you don't have open minds, you don't search out facts. You are blindly led around like a bunch of sheep.

God help us if Obama gets in there. I for one don't want to live my life with the likes of Farrahan, Wright, Resko, and Ayers (to name a few) dictating how we should be living. Farrakan's the creepiest of all, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why you want to live like that.
Please note....(sm)

I think Phelps and his daughter were banned back in Feb.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/7898972.stm

There are also a number of people on the list whose names have not been published.  I would love to see the entire list.

Note, what I said was
You prepare for what an opponent might do, not what he appears to be doing at the moment.  Situations change in an instant, stuff happens, appearances may be misleading.  You don't encumber both hands when you could be attacked, especially if there's more than one.  Doesn't mean attack them first, but you stay ready for the possibility that they might attack you.  Military training and just plain common sense.
Please note....(sm)

We are talking about Obama here, not Bush the war monger.

"There will always be a war that he needs them for and if there isn't one he will create one."

You do realize that Obama was one of the few senators who voted completely against the Iraq war?  What makes you think he wants to stay in a war when all he has done is talk about how we need to get out of it?  That is just completely irrational.

"Why do you say the GOP is not funding the troops."

Ummm....because the vast majority of pubs in the house just voted against a funding bill?

How many did it take to write this note?
Just wondering.
Note to gt......off topic

It's me - the one who's been posting under all the gt alias joke monikers.  I just had to blow off steam after the conservative board debacle last night.  Don't know why I get involved in it.  My fall equinox resolution will be to inform, not condemn.

Thanks for tolerating my not-that-funny-ha-ha little joke.

Ah the race card!
always played when a leftist is against the wall when it comes to facts. France has changed diametrically in the 200+ years since the revolutionary war, but you probably have your own leftist rewritten history book on that too, so why bother...
Is it any different than the race card?
nm
note: this was in no way gay-bashing, as i am gay too,
but i just had to laugh at the mental image of a pitbull with lipstick, trying its best not to look like a 'klondyke'.
Don't need a library card but thanks
Well, I never said homosexuals were making up these feelings. I truly believe that one doesn't just choose to be attracted to another of the same gender, that they biologically are for whatever reason. I don't believe one would want to purposefully put themselves through the ridicule and scrutiny they have been through. I have a friend who is gay. Everybody in the neighborhood knew it as young children. Four decades later he finally actually says his partner's name, as though we didn't already know it. I certainly don't think less of him as a human being. He has made great accomplishments in his life and is well known in the interior design business and has done great for himself. Some who read the high end design magazines would probably even know him if I mentioned his name, but I won't; it's not my place. He's even been on A&E from time to time when describing old mansions/homes in the US.

The question was asked do I believe two of the same sex should be allowed to "marry" and I said no. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman but if two of the same gender want to live together, no one has the right to stop them.

I don't need a biology lesson to know common sense......and I will say again, body parts weren't made to fit same sex to same sex for a reason.

This guy I speak of was raised in the church, he knows God's plan for him, he will have to choose his life, no one can do it for him. That doesn't mean I don't love him as a friend.
pity card. nm

Exactly, and the other race card is

On a side note..
Where in the Mojave desert did you live? I grew up in a tiny town called Inyokern and went to high school in Lone Pine.
just a note from factcheck.org

A second false quote has Obama saying he would "stand with the Muslims," words that don't appear in his book. What he actually said is that he would stand with American immigrants from Pakistan or Arab countries should they be faced with something like the forced detention of Japanese-American families in World War II:

http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_obama_write_that_he_would_stand.html

Agree and just want to add to your note that
that Bush WOULD NOT meet with those of the fallen.  He out-and-out dissed them.  So, even though none of this mess is Obama's making, he met with those who mourn and actually listened to their views.  He did so much more in that 45 minutes than Bush ever did.

You might want to clean up your own backyard before you start on someone else's.

I think the thing to note here...(sm)

is not so much that he had an affair.  People do that all the time.  I personally think it's nobody's business, and that's how I felt about Clinton as well.  However, what we have here is a guy who has been preaching "family values" as a campaign slogan for how many years? and then this comes out.  It's the blatant hipocrisy that I can't stand.

Also, this guy was supposedly a good candidate for VP next time around.  If something like this had been found out about Biden, the rght would have had a field day with it, just like they did with Clinton.

More on that note....France, that non...
judgmental open-minded country....their Prez says France cannot accept Burqas...this is just part of it....PARIS — President Nicolas Sarkozy said the Muslim burqa would not be welcome in France, calling the full-body religious gown a sign of the "debasement" of women.

In the first presidential address to parliament in 136 years, Sarkozy faced critics who fear the burqa issue could stigmatize France's Muslims and said he supported banning the garment from being worn in public.

"In our country, we cannot accept that women be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived of all identity," Sarkozy said to extended applause at the Chateau of Versailles, southwest of Paris.

"The burqa is not a religious sign, it's a sign of subservience, a sign of debasement — I want to say it solemnly," he said. "It will not be welcome on the territory of the French Republic."

Hmmmm. Oh my. Muslims world wide (not to mention the 5 million that live in France) are going to LOVE that.

And people say WE aren't open-minded? LOL. Where is the French version of the ACLU?? Hey...they can borrow ours. HEY, Sarkozy...take THEM ALL. :-) lol
Please note that American Woman is not AG

Thanks Brunson for you objective views....it is refreshing.  You know how to respectfully post and carry on an adult conversation.

The only reason I am posting here is to state this even though it's blatantly obvious American Woman is not me.

I read here, but I don't post here.  I might post my responses to posts here on the C board....but other than to clarify like I'm doing now I don't post here....I made a mistake on Friday posting here, but I got my boards mixed up.  Have a great day!

Worried about $2,000 debit card? Oh please!
I was reading some posts on MTStars main board last night and OMG some people are wondering what will happen to the $2,000.00 debit card money the victims will get.  One posted she did not want her tax money going to alcohol or drugs!!  Would she be saying that if it had been a middle class white neighborhood or just because most of the victims are black, so she thinks they spend all their money on alcohol and drugs.  These people had jobs, they had lives, they had homes, they had animals..they now have NOTHING, due to not fault of their own, due to our governments inaction and criminal neglect.  So, until they can get their lives back on track (dont know if I ever could, sure hope they can..God help them all), our government is their employer and whatever money they get through the government, they can do with what they want.  My God, they have nothing, nothing.  I cannot imagine.  It blows my mind and each day I get sadder and more angry over the horror.  I gotta tell ya, if I went through what they did, when I got that $2,000.00, I probably would buy a bottle of wine along with finding a home to rent, clothing, food, getting my kids back in school and paying for transportation so I could find another job and then I would relax the first night in my new home with my kids and drink that darn bottle of wine..and thank the powers that be that I am still alive.. I am glad my tax dollars will help these unfortunate people.
The $2000 debit card sm

has provisions that state the card cannot be used for alcohol or cigarettes.  They will get no cash back on any purchase.

The government has already thought of all these things.  The card can only be used for food, personal items, etc.

Note to uptight liberals
It was s-a-r-c-a-s-m.   Humor is lost on you all...
OK, on that same note you answered your own question..sm
You believe abortion is immoral and that it should be illegal. I think the same thing about this war. Yeah congress passed it, so for all intents and purposes on paper it is legal, but it should be illegal to preempt war against a dictator and his followers (because technically we are not at war against Iraq) that is not a eminent threat to us.
Here's the fear card, people.
Lap it up.
That's not a fear card, that's the truth.
If Clinton had dealt with the terrorists a little sooner, 9/11 may not have even happened. I know this is a shoulda/coulda kind of statement, but everyone's always going on about Bush and the war - I may not agree with why he went into Iraq, but I know with him in the Oval Office, we're a lot safer in this country, as well as several other countries. The truth is that there are many people that hate us and our country not because of who our President is, it's because we choose to be free, have freedom of speech and freedom of religion and freedom from tyranny. Can you imagine someone just walking into the White House and declaring himself President? That happens in the kind of countries that hate us. There are problems in this country, yes, but at least be glad that you live in a country where you won't get sent to jail or killed because you have different beliefs than the government. And as far as being afraid of these people? We should be!!! They have nuclear weapons (or will soon) - you don't think they're crazy enough to use them? That's why I want someone leading my country who's not afraid to stand up and say NO! You can't mess with my country and her people!!! Now, whichever candidate you think will do that is the one that deserves your vote.
Like I'm really SURE any card-carrying feminist,
would support someone who is:
100% anti-abortion (in all cases, even rape); homophobic; pro-guns; so non-environmental as to not be 'green' but totally 'black' and one of those who believes that somehow the more children you produce, the more rights you have to step on those who choose not to overpopulate the planet.

Yeah, she's definitely got the feminists' vote, alright.... NOT!!!
but when his card gets to the polling office...
it will be knocked out and not counted. ACORN has to turn it in, it's up to the registrars in each town to verify it and count it.
Plays the religious card?
When it suits him? How about trying to set the record straight when others spew baloney about him? If you were running for office, you would do the same thing if people were saying incorrect things about you, what you believe in, have voted or not voted for, etc.

If he didn't people would then say, "See, he didn't dispute it, so it must be true." Either way, the bashers find reason to bash ... cause that's what they do.
There is also all that untraceable credit card...
money. I imagine a few campaign law restrictions were shattered with that. and yes, he took money from lobbyists in the form of bundlers. Mccain did too. They ALL do.

A note about your socialism comment sm
We do not have socialism except for that big bank bailout that was under Bush's leadership, (lack of leadership). All your sorry arguments of months ago are now moot points. Stop being a sore loser. Nobody cares about the birth certificate, about Ayers, about Rev Wright, about fake socialism, about your phoney crooked republican manipulations. Suck it up and be a real American and follow the new president.
