Some of these weirdos are attacking people

and blowing up things. Eco-terrorists are a reality. PETA disciples routinely attack people, pull the fur off their backs and spray paint people... Hey, if it happened to me I take care of the situation myself, but there are some loonies in those organizations.

Weirdos? What are you talking about?
It isn't about weirdos (your word), it's about foreign policy being manipulated to bring about a certain outcome that has the potential to obliterate us all...creating a SELF-fulfilling PROPHECY.
You are the one doing the attacking
you are rude vile and insufferable.  You can't see over your hatred of conservatives to even have a civil conversation.  No wonder you and your candidates LOST last November.  You all are so hateful it oozes from your pores.
Attacking? Please, I was not attacking.
x
Why are you attacking me?
I gave an opinion of the majority of Christians as a response to the poster asking why Muslim was viewed as bad. They view Muslim as a false religion because they don't follow the Bible, rather the Quran. That's why everybody was in an uproar when they thought Obama was sworn in by the Quran. This was not my personal opinion, so don't attack me. In reality, this is the belief of the majority of Christians. They try to convert Muslims. Don't attack me as this being my personal opinion, gourdpainter. I never said it was.
No, they are attacking
I'll stick by my kool-aid comment, however, that was not in this post and I'm sick of people calling me ignorant because I believed both countries were in the middle east, especially when my friend talks of her husband in Iraq and son in Afghanistan and she refers to both countries as being in the middle east. These wars have been going on for so long I'm sick of it all.

Secondly - I admitted in a couple posts I was wrong about Obama stating in the campaign that he would not be bringing troops home and sending more over.

As for reality I have a pretty good grip on it. You know for a fact there are people who voted for Obama just because he's black! That's reality sista. I know because my brother and his friends and their freinds, and our friends in church boasted on how they didn't know his policies and they didn't care. He's black, we're black so therefore we have to vote for him because he's black. Sorry you don't like to face reality. How about the people interviewed that said that if Obama was president they wouldn't mind Sarah Palin as VP. Oh yeah, those people really understand Obama's policies. How about the people who were told McCains plan and they said yeah, that's why I'm voting for Obama, those plans there you just said. How about the thousands and thousands of people who kept boasting about if Obama gets in office that our troops will be coming home from the middle east.

I'm in touch with reality here, you are not!

And for your information. I did not attack anyone who replied to my post here but plenty attacked me for my beliefs and questions.

And if you write any more rude comments to me I am not even going to read them, so don't bother.

Another one attacking Lurker...and on and on

Unacceptable answer for word verbiage. Do people actually let you get away with that?

You must run in really tolerant debate circles.  Best stay in them.  This kind of behavior is not tolerated in most political circles I know of.  But it is a good example of how far we have slipped into the he said/she said atmosphere of debate in this country.  Just say anything and never have to prove it.  It works well for the MSM, of which you seem so fond.  Well, should have known better. I am off for greener pastures and debate fields where people actually have to prove what they say.  Imagine that!

Obviously, this person was not attacking. sm
The underlined part just goes to prove that they are NOT attacking liberals.  I am unsure of your rationalization on this one.
I'm not attacking you, but it's funny

Isn't he half white and half black?  I thought that was the case for Obama.  I am voting for Obama, but I know there are people saying that he will most likely need a lot of security.  The white suppremists (spelling??) are still around.  I just think he is much more suited and in better health to make decisions and not always "go with the good ole boys."

Oh yeah back to the multicolored...  I remember being taught when there were references made like "I don't care if he's white, purple, orange, or black."  Well people don't come in orange or purple????   Know what I mean?  So what is multicolored (rainbow???)...  I'm not attacking, I just thought it was funny to hear someone say they don't care if he's "multi-colored."

As far as McCain - he's out of his league.  The things we face and our children face need to be addressed by someone more in our age group.  As far as Palin, well she should be taking care of her family first.  She's a mother.  I am a mother first, a wife, then an MT. ....  get my drift?  I love my country, but I love my children more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  These are all my opinions and thoughts...

I know you weren't attacking me....
I was just telling you why I thought what I thought. sorry if I sounded defensive, didn't mean to be. :)
No one is attacking you, they are correcting you.
Oh, I see. It's okay for you to post snide remarks about others, but when you post something that is blatantly wrong and are called out the carpet for it, you accuse everyone of attacking you.

Here is a direct quote from one of your previous posts: "So, time to put down the kool-aid and get a cup of coffee and come back to reality here with the rest of us."

Apparently, your reality is based on incorrect information. Therefore, those of us who listen carefully to what President Obama says and who do not make gross generalizations that have no basis in fact have no interest in joining in with your concept of reality.

Your comment about people only voting for President Obama because he is black is a perfect example of just how out of touch with reality (or maybe just bigoted) you truly are.
Maybe you have wasted yours attacking others...
nm
Why are you so rudely attacking this poster?

The poster didn't make one reference to you personally in his/her post.  All they did was express their opinion about the current administration without any personal references to you whatsoever.

Why are you so angry and hateful?

IMHO, You owe that poster an apology.

It's not any more condescending than your post was attacking....
with all due respect. You view "independent" differently than I do. I was just explaining. I am not a Republican.
your post was just as one-sided and attacking as
What a shame.  When I first read it, I was expecting it to be unbiased, but all I read in your post was negativity against Obama and defense of McCain.  You probably would be better off on the gab board.
How is a news story such as this attacking
the other candidate?
You never get tired of attacking Christians, do you?
"And before you start quoting scriptures, please realize that the bible is not a reputable source for historical facts. It is a collection of STORIES. Nothing more, nothing less."

You're so foul and offensive it's beyond measure. You have no respect for anyone but yourself, and you continue to try to shove your twisted beliefs down everyone's throat, all the while crying "victim" whenever it suits your cause.

You know what else has been around "forever?"

Rape.
Child abuse.
Murder.
Animal cruelty.
Robbery.
War.
Insanity.
and Evil.

So apparently, because they've existed for a long time, they're okie-dokie with you.

Here's your handbasket.
So you didn't let her apology stop you from attacking her.

I know it's hard for you, but try to pay attention.  Sheesh!

It would be so nice if you weren't here. SM

Perhaps you enjoy stories with no kind of facts to them. I am sure you probably do. The fact remains, nanananana comes on here and tells us to stay off YOUR board which we have already done and here you are. Tell me again, WHO is it who will NEVER stop? You are looking like a fool. Since the high road seems to have disappeared for you, try the low road. Any road. Just go.

I am not attacking you, therefore I can post here. In other words, make me. :) nm

In all fairness, your posts were attacking and unkind. sm
And may have even been unfounded. I believe both of you were off base with the posts.  I have once again posted a reminder at the top of the board.
Attacking a family over personal issues...
reprehensible.
This post is not attacking Palin with vitriol?
as well as being inaccurate?
If it's so great there, why don't you STAY there instead of attacking posters on this board

all the time?  I don't need to grow any skin, thank you.  If people are just simply NICE and treat me with respect, they receive the same in turn.  It's called the golden rule.  Liberals on this board follow the golden rule.  It's the conservatives who must constantly attack, and frankly, it's tiresome.  You add nothing of value to this board.  NOTHING.

Intellect? Attacking an innnocent 16-year-old girl?
If that is intellect, you can have it!!
Stop attacking me!!!!! - and JTBB answered my question
All I asked is where will the troops be coming from that he is going to send to Afghanistan. I didn't state anything else about the troops except that a lot of us thought they'd be coming home. I know the military are committing suicide at an alarming rate. What does that have to do with the question "Where are the troops coming from that Obama is going to send to Afghanistan". The only thing transparent here is how eager you are to attack me for my thoughts and beliefs. Can't anyone ask a question anymore without being attacked for it.

I asked a question and JTBB answered it and I thanked her for it.

And for your information. I don't hate Obama. I VOTED FOR HIM IN THE PRIMARIES!!!!!!! (and don't even call me a pub cos I didn't vote for McCain either). Personally, I like Obama. Good looking guy, in great shape, beautiful family, very pleasant speaking voice. Nothing to hate there and these decisions he is telling us about are not his decisions. He is doing what he is told to do by his bosses. I guess I probably feel the same way lots of people feel about Bush lying to us on certain issues (like Obama's promise for change which he is not keeping it), except I don't have the hatred towards Obama that most do towards Bush.

Please people stop attacking me for me asking questions. If you also read any of my posts you also read that I say over and over - "If I'm wrong I'll admit it" Unlike some of the other posters.

P.S. - Thank you JTBB for being civil to me in your posts. People can disagree and be civil about it and you have shown that so thank you. The rest just please leave me alone!
Can you stick to the subject EVER? Oh wait, i'm unfairly attacking you by asking what you read,
nm
Evidently, my conservative friend, there is no opportunity to be missed in attacking Bush.
And threads are being hijacked on the conservative board as well.  It's amazing.
So you and your daughter have no problem with people who wish for people and their children sm
to burn in hell, call people's children ugly, etc. etc.  Well, you might not BE gt, but you might as well be.  Even the liberals don't agree with gt, or hadn't you noticed?  You might want to check that out and while you are at it, the conservative board has been a regular play pen since the liberals stopped their hateful dive bombing.  In fact, some really good conversations are taking place over there between both sides, which DOES NOT happen on this site.
Bored people are BORING people.
nm
Is that how your people justify killing people?

So then you only like to where people who say what you believe have to say.

Pretty sad.  At least the consevatives here weather the storms and stay.  That pretty much says a lot about you and them, too.  It's sure not like you guys never took pot shots over there. Of course, I am sure it wasn't YOU. Right.

gee, 100,000 people vs. 400 people
100,000 = anti-war protesters
400 = anti-anti-war protesters

Statistics from today's White House rally.

Now shoo, run along home now back to your hole or cave or whatever you crawled out of.
I consider the people..
and programs I mentioned fair and balanced. Meet the Press, Hardball, Tyler Carlson on CNN, Face The Nation. They said that they would not accept Drudge as reliable information, not I although I don't but my opinion carries less weight than that of those mentioned above.
100 people
This was a SMALL gathering, and as stated above, Jews tend to support abortion rights more than any other group (15-20%). So this small group hardly speaks for the majority of the Jewish Community.
She has none of those people that we know of ... sm

She just got announced.  I am not saying that there is anything in her background, but it is early and I am sure if there is one iota of a person in her background then we will here about it.  For this whole experience thing, what have we got in the past 8 years and the past 8 before that with all of the so-called experience the Rep. think we need.

Why are we still bring up Rev. Wright?  Can't we just move past that?  We've heard it all.

Sorry, people....
The blame for the way Katrina was handled lays completely with the democratic Louisiana governor, Kathleen Blanco, and the democratic New Orleans mayor, Ray Nagin.

They didn't follow the protocol for disasters.

However, now Bobby Jinda, Republican governor, is in charge, and he is handling things the way they should have been back then.....

Why are people so

focused on outward appearances?  It is a person's heart that shows true beauty......not their face.  A face can change over time, but a pure heart remains and that is what is important.

Are these the same people
who can afford their cigarettes and beer?
people should have been more
people make financial mistakes... perhaps some people wouldn't be hurting so badly right now if they had been living within their financial means to begin with.
Why can't more people see that?
My husband has been saying that same thing for the past few years. I am so sick and tired of working so hard to make a good life for my family, only to have *big government* take half of my money to give to people who won't lift a finger and want government to take care of them. It just makes me sick! I don't know why so many people are so blind to this.
some people say

is the line Hannity uses to introduce such wild statements without accepting responsibility for stating them.  The post says the GROUP endosed McCain -- did not libel McCain.  Simply an example of how people are willing to run with any statement that supports their beliefs against a candidate.

545 people

I'm cutting and pasting from an email my friend sent me.  Thought it was interesting enough to post here.  I really hope the spacing is okay.  The title of the email was "how to become a former columnist"

545 PEOPLE
  By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, nine Supreme Court justices = 545 human beings out of the 300 million who are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.   In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.
They have no legal authority.   They have no authority to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing.   I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.   The politician has the power to accept or reject it.   No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault.   They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.   No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.   The president can only propose a budget.   He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, (supposedly) the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving
appropriations and taxes.   Who is the speaker of the House?   She or he is the leader of the majority party.   She or he and fellow House members, not the
president, can approve any budget they want.   If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and
irresponsibility.   I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.   When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Marines are in  IRAQ , it's because they want them in  IRAQ .

If they do not receive Social Security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's be cause they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they
can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.   Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation,' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses,  provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

it's not about the people who can't
x
I want to know why people like
Dodd and Frank aren't being held accountable?  Why aren't the CEOs being held accountable?  It thoroughly ticks me off that this is literally being swept under the rug.  I want to see some punishment here. It is like they all got a get out of jail free card or something.  WTH?  They all lined their pockets with money and we are the ones paying for it and suffering.  People walking away with millions of dollars with no consequences at all while we are left to pay for their misdeeds.  I'm totally disgusted!  I say we clean house and start all over with new people.  I wanna show these politicians that I'm tired of being screwed over by them.  I really feel like this bailout was the rich bailing out their rich friends.
A lot of people are saying
Don't underestimate Gov. Sarah Palin. She knows more than people give her credit for and she's smart as a whip. Looking forward to the debate.

As for McCain's heath, I wouldn't weigh too heavily on that. He's been cleared of cancer now for at least 7 years by his doctor and is cancer-free. To be worried about that would be the same if something was to happen to Barack or Biden - would you really trust Pelosi as president? That would be too laughable if it weren't so scary. I would say if you agree with McCains policies (which I believe are going to be better for the country than Barack Osocialist's policies) then vote for him. Also remember. There are people who direct every president. There has never been any president who has ever done anything without the approval of their bosses. At least John McCain and Gov Palin will be surrounding themselves with the people who know what's going on and how to handle whatever situation arises with better solutions than the people who Obama would surround himself with. I trust that more than anything.
Yep! And yet so many people still want
more government! Unbelievable.
Because so many people are NOT sensible
nm
AND YOU ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO SAY

What you do with this article now that you have read it
is up to you, though you appear to have several choices.

1. You can send this to everyone in your
address book, and hope' they' do something about
it.

2. You can agree to 'vote against'
everyone that is currently in office, knowing that the
process will take several years.

3. You can decide to 'run for office'
yourself and agree to do the job properly.

4. Lastly, you can sit back and do nothing, or
re-elect the current bunch.

YOU DECIDE, BUT AT LEAST SEND IT TO EVERYONE IN YOUR
ADDRESS BOOK,
MAYBE SOMEONE IN THERE WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
Maybe people
who don't put a lot of stock in a name.  Should McCain/Palin be elected, I hope you will like what you get.
