Today on the conservative board, there were 10 new posts, and not ONE LIBERAL posted any of them.
Today on the liberal board, there were 20 new conservative posts.
20 to 0.
Obviously they find their own board boring since they posted twice as many posts here as they did on their own board. But then we already knew that, didn't we?

I think that most of the posters on this board
forgot to read the post by the moderator. If they did, they wouldn't be acting so childish.
This used to be a nice place to discuss issues, but no more. It's been taken over by hostile posters. I stayed away for over a month and come back to what???...it's worse then ever!!!! They don't want to discuss issues. They just flame those that have a different opinion.
You have to stay cool and calm and take every post at face value, not get involved in a stupid argument, which is what most of these posts are lately, and not yell or use name-calling.
Freedom of speech does not work on this board and that is why I try not to post anymore. I just read and, sometimes, laugh at some of the most ridiculous ones, then count to 10 if I want to answer in an inflammable way...and leave the board instead.
I don't think 80% of the posters on this board........... sm

You’re the one who started in with “get off this forum and take a cold shower” I just repeated your words back to you. I see you sure didn’t like it when it was said to you, so why do you think it’s okay for you say it to others (no that is not a question – it’s a statement).
So in your own words it comes right back to you - “You have no right to talk to me like that. Who do you think YOU are. You are not the owner of this forum, not a moderator, and not management – you are just you.”
If you don’t want to be told to get off this forum, then you should not be telling others they need to get off the forum.

We know your democrat – we get it and that’s fine. (please don't try to convince us you are independent - we read your posts. Nothing to be ashamed of being a democrat. Everyone is entitled to their believes/opinions, but that’s doesn’t give you a free pass to bash others and call others names.
My suggestion again is that if you can’t handle a conversation without bashing someone because they don’t believe the same as you, or it just gives you joy to cut others down, there are other forums on the internet that you might be happier at. The moderator has said many times “no flaming”. It’s even at the top of the board and you might want to read it. Your getting very close.

The second one I did not recall seeing. As I said, go to the conservative board and see what you see. The same thing as here. Stop whining about it and grow up.

The topics on this board can be very inflammatory and sensitive. In general, you need to be able to control your emotions and develop a "thick skin" to get along on this board.
Please remember that the Politics board is for political issues/topics. Anything regarding faith, religion, God, atheism, etc., belongs on the Faith board and those topics will be removed.
We are not moderating the Politics board to make it a "nice" place to have "nice" discussions. We moderate it to ensure that as much opportunity to express views, discuss opinions, and debate topics exists. There will be heated exchanges sometimes. Respect and civility can be maintained even when debates occur. This means that you will have to moderate your own reading/responding at times. If a specific poster upsets you, don't read the post. Sometimes you will simply need to refrain from posting.
On occasion, there will be hit-and-run posters or trolls who try to upset you with their posts. Ignore those posts. The more you respond, the more you feed their need for attention. I have been off this board a long time and was just discussing with another poster here calling a truce and I was VERY respectful in these posts, but, of course, you had to start up again. To the other poster who I made the truce with, can you see now why there can never be a truce here?

of free speech. Thank you for your permission, even though it had to be in the form of a potshot. That being said...I would equate fanaticism more with being on board for killing 1.2 million babies a year rather than being against it...but that is just me. I would think that liberals so concerned about war and the innocent killed during one...might show as much concern for innocent babies being killed like shooting fish in a barrel. But alas...not so.
I am responding to all the posters who have made a living on this board denegrating everything that
new President does, even though he has just taken office, give me a break. George had 8 years, and each year was worse than the one before it.....I am not "whining" about Bush, the past is the past and I am trying very hard to focus on change, on a new future, on how we can all help, etc., not waving the Democratic flag, but the AMERICAN flag, I am just referring to history, nonpartison history.

Why are you attacking me?
I gave an opinion of the majority of Christians as a response to the poster asking why Muslim was viewed as bad. They view Muslim as a false religion because they don't follow the Bible, rather the Quran. That's why everybody was in an uproar when they thought Obama was sworn in by the Quran. This was not my personal opinion, so don't attack me. In reality, this is the belief of the majority of Christians. They try to convert Muslims. Don't attack me as this being my personal opinion, gourdpainter. I never said it was.

I'll stick by my kool-aid comment, however, that was not in this post and I'm sick of people calling me ignorant because I believed both countries were in the middle east, especially when my friend talks of her husband in Iraq and son in Afghanistan and she refers to both countries as being in the middle east. These wars have been going on for so long I'm sick of it all.
Secondly - I admitted in a couple posts I was wrong about Obama stating in the campaign that he would not be bringing troops home and sending more over.
As for reality I have a pretty good grip on it. You know for a fact there are people who voted for Obama just because he's black! That's reality sista. I know because my brother and his friends and their freinds, and our friends in church boasted on how they didn't know his policies and they didn't care. He's black, we're black so therefore we have to vote for him because he's black. Sorry you don't like to face reality. How about the people interviewed that said that if Obama was president they wouldn't mind Sarah Palin as VP. Oh yeah, those people really understand Obama's policies. How about the people who were told McCains plan and they said yeah, that's why I'm voting for Obama, those plans there you just said. How about the thousands and thousands of people who kept boasting about if Obama gets in office that our troops will be coming home from the middle east.
I'm in touch with reality here, you are not!

You must run in really tolerant debate circles. Best stay in them. This kind of behavior is not tolerated in most political circles I know of. But it is a good example of how far we have slipped into the he said/she said atmosphere of debate in this country. Just say anything and never have to prove it. It works well for the MSM, of which you seem so fond. Well, should have known better. I am off for greener pastures and debate fields where people actually have to prove what they say. Imagine that!

Isn't he half white and half black? I thought that was the case for Obama. I am voting for Obama, but I know there are people saying that he will most likely need a lot of security. The white suppremists (spelling??) are still around. I just think he is much more suited and in better health to make decisions and not always "go with the good ole boys."
Oh yeah back to the multicolored... I remember being taught when there were references made like "I don't care if he's white, purple, orange, or black." Well people don't come in orange or purple???? As far as McCain - he's out of his league. The things we face and our children face need to be addressed by someone more in our age group. All I asked is where will the troops be coming from that he is going to send to Afghanistan. I didn't state anything else about the troops except that a lot of us thought they'd be coming home. I know the military are committing suicide at an alarming rate. What does that have to do with the question "Where are the troops coming from that Obama is going to send to Afghanistan". The only thing transparent here is how eager you are to attack me for my thoughts and beliefs. Can't anyone ask a question anymore without being attacked for it.
I asked a question and JTBB answered it and I thanked her for it.
And for your information. I don't hate Obama. I VOTED FOR HIM IN THE PRIMARIES!!!!!!! (and don't even call me a pub cos I didn't vote for McCain either). Personally, I like Obama. Good looking guy, in great shape, beautiful family, very pleasant speaking voice. Nothing to hate there and these decisions he is telling us about are not his decisions. He is doing what he is told to do by his bosses. I guess I probably feel the same way lots of people feel about Bush lying to us on certain issues (like Obama's promise for change which he is not keeping it), except I don't have the hatred towards Obama that most do towards Bush.
Please people stop attacking me for me asking questions. If you also read any of my posts you also read that I say over and over - "If I'm wrong I'll admit it" Unlike some of the other posters.
