Spoken by the true whiner that you are. By the way sm

In Reply to: Okay. I dared. *yawn* Now, tell me something *davebuoy* Do YOU *dare* to put on the uniform and go - to Iraq?

Do you have an abortion to have an opinion about it. So that means that all prochoice people have had abortions or else they would not have an opinion, right?

Until you've been killed by an Islamic terrorist you have no right to complain?

If you are against this war why don't you fly to Iraq and tell Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to surrender?

If you hate the war so much, why aren't you acting as a human shield?

Funny. I don't remember you complaining back when Clinton was bombing the hell out of Iraq in '98.

Spoken as a true partisan.

No, spoken TO a true partisan

Only the conservatives on these boards fail to open their eyes and be objective when it comes to Bush and his actions.  They're obviously partisan conservatives.

However, the people who continue to defend Bennett after Bush himself condemned Bennett's statement... well, there's a name for them, as well.

I think we're starting to see a divide in the conservative party.  Those who just blindly follow Bush, unwilling or unable to see what's really happening, and the more sinister, dangerous, racist group who wouldn't mind seeing all black babies aborted.  Those who insist on defending Bennett are emphasizing that distinction, which is a good thing.  Let these people reveal themselves for what they really are.

Spoken from a true MSNBC stooge
Pathetic???? As Bones from Star Trek would say "My God Man"...turn on your TV. Turn it off of MSNBC and get some real news. ALL channels are covering it. Except MSLSD and not sure about CNN. No real news there so I never watch it.

Thousands upon thousands upon thousands all over the countries. And they are not even showing the smaller towns.

Wake up and at least try and act a little patriotic and show that you actually care about the country and the direction we are headed.

Spoken like a true UNeducated person. Generalize some more.
Undereducated rednecks? Religious right wingers? Evil? Um, you obviously do not know what the word "objective" means, yet you call someone else undereducated? lol Your statements are classic prejudice and make you sound very hostile. It must be a burden carrying so much hatred in your heart all the time.
Spoken like a true jealous, ugly woman.
I am so amazed that the people who seem to be the hardest on Palin are women.  She has been a success in her state.  She has more experience at running something than Obama does and yet you lemmings think he is GOD.  Give me a friggin break.  I think women are out to get Palin just simply because they are jealous and/or ugly and can't stand the fact that a down to Earth, good looking, smart woman like Palin could have made it this far.  If Palin were on the dem side.....you all would be drooling over her.  Well....she is a republican and I'm sorry she isn't as ugly as Hillary, but Palin is very capable of being the VP of our country.
Spoken like a true jealous, ugly woman??!!

How dare you call someone names like that, simply because she disagrees with your political views?

The only one who comes across as "ugly" is you.

The truth is that Sarah Palin doesn't even know what the job of Vice resident entails.  She's an embarrassment to every intelligent, qualified woman out there who WOULD be ready to step in and take over if need be, and there are plenty of them.  Kay Bailey Hutchinson comes to mind right now, along with Elizabeth Dole, just to name two.

Just one more example of John McCain's terrible judgment.

I'm not a whiner, are you?

The Whiner's Recession
Senator McCain and his friends no doubt still believe that the economy's fundamentals are strong, but Friday's jobs numbers clearly show how bad things have gotten. The 6.1 percent unemployment rate reported for August is almost as high as the worst levels from the last recession. A broader measure of labor market weakness, that includes people who can only find part-time work or who have given up looking for jobs, is higher than at any point in the last recession.

When the labor market weakens, workers have less bargaining power with their employers. As a result, wages are trailing more than 2 percentage points behind inflation over the last year.

Wages are virtually the entire income for most workers. If the purchasing power of their wages falls by 2 percent, this is the equivalent of a 2 percentage point increase in their tax rate.

This is worth thinking about. Most workers in the country have just seen the equivalent of a 2 percentage point increase in their tax rate, and it has gotten almost no attention. By contrast, Senator McCain is claiming that the economy will collapse if we increase the tax rate by 3.6 percentage points for people who can't remember how many homes they own.

It is easy to understand how a typical family experiences real hardship when their wages don't keep up with the price of food, gas, and heating oil. It's a bit harder to understand how the folks who can't keep track of their homes will suffer by restoring tax rates to the Clinton-era levels.

This brings us to the other important point about the Friday jobs numbers. The economy is in bad shape and getting worse. This disaster is happening while we are experimenting with the tax policies advocated by Senator McCain. We have an economy that is now shedding jobs at the rate of almost 100,000 a month. There is no prospect of turnaround in sight. We could have half a million fewer jobs by the time the next president is sworn into office than we do today.

This is the Bush-McCain economy. Senator McCain may have forgotten, but President Bush already tried his economic policies and the results are not good. We have just been through a business cycle in which the wage of the typical worker and the typical working family fell. This is the first time that has ever happened.

As bad as the situation is, it will surely get worse as the recession deepens. Wages and incomes will fall further behind inflation as the unemployment rate continues to rise. By contrast, the Clinton-era tax rates were associated with the most prosperous period since the early seventies.

As I have written many times, Clinton's policies do not deserve all the credit for the prosperity of the late 90s, and President Bush's polices do not deserve all the blame for the economy's poor performance in the current decade.

However, it strains credulity to argue that the Clinton-era tax rates are a recipe for stagnation, while the Bush-McCain tax cuts for the rich are the road to prosperity. When he pushes his tax cuts as a remedy for the economy's ills, Senator McCain is effectively imitating Groucho Marx's famous line: "what are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"

At this point, McCain should be embarrassed to even say that tax cuts for the rich help the economy. Tax cuts for the rich help the rich, they don't help the economy. It's that simple.

This economic catastrophe was many years in the making. There is no painless way to recover from the collapse of the housing bubble and the correction from an over-valued dollar. We do know that Senator McCain's plan to keep giving the rich more money is not a road to prosperity because that is exactly what we have been doing.

We can't know exactly how Senator Obama will address the economy's problems if he takes office in January in part because we don't know exactly where the economy will be. However, a plan that focuses on supporting ordinary workers and promoting clean technologies, is likely to produce much better results than policies that are focused on redistributing even more income to the wealthy.

That's right, the people have spoken and
Obama is our next president.
Well spoken, oh wise one.

I am proud to offer this suggestion to all of those who choose to ignore the fascism of the last 8 years and are frightened and terrified (and ignorant) of the idea of a black man in the White House:  America, Love It Or Leave It!  I have a few suggestions where you all can go, too!

Yes, I too have been worried about some sort of attempt on President Obama's life before we can be rid of the Bushies, leading to an attempt by them to hold onto power forever.  However, I think they have screwed up the country so much that even THEY don't want it anymore.

Keith is great.  The first of the mass media to speak up about the unconstitutional actions of the Bushies.  Why was the rest of the media so frightened?

On a bright note, I suspect that Bush's appointment by the Supreme Court was our Thermopolis Pass moment in history:  Bush's appointment led indirectly to the election of Obama, as the defeat of the Spartans at Thermopylae led to the rise of democracy in Greece, just as the rise of fascism in America has led to the resurgence of democracy in our great country.

Now, back to taunting Mr. 644 and the Evil Q!

The people have spoken now and

they still aren't listening.

It's not a matter of pubs or dems. Our voices should be heard, but there are too many politicians who are deaf. I think we should all donate $1 to buy hearing aids for them all.

No Truer Words Were Ever Spoken
During this election year let's be reminded of these words:
 * You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
* You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.
* You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
* You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.
* You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.
* You cannot build character and courage, by taking away men's initiative
and independence.
* You cannot help men permanently, by doing for them what they could and
should, do for themselves.

You have spoken out against O'Reilly frequently...
polls do prove more and more people are listening to him, so that must be saying something about how they are truly feeling about Obama and it AIN'T positive.

For the most part, people who voted for him are NOT happy with what he is doing. I can name 10 neighbors on one side of my cul-de-sac alone who voted for Obama and is now regretting that vote. They have seen exactly where all this debt is heading, straight to their wallets and they definitely don't make 250K or more a year. It is going to grab them elsewhere but tax them to death none the less. If that's 10 out of my small cul-de-sac alone, I won't even bother to tell you how many at our community pool over several blocks of our neighbors are now openly regretting their vote.

They are definitely not happy with how he is handling anything because he isn't capable of handling anything..... he's nothing more than a puppet and someone else is pulling his strings.

If he gets healthcare reform through, you won't have to worry about who gets in the white house, because you'll be too taxed to death to care.
Nicer? Spoken by the queen of the horrific! sm
Let's get this straight gt, the most horrible things said on either board have been said by none other than you.  I am absolutely convinced that you are using many different names to post under.  The rage that is inside of you just is too easy to spot.  Several other posters have said the same.  No one, and I mean NO ONE comes close to your hatefulness.
Yes, I suppose you've spoken with all of Gitmo
they have told you personally they are ALL INNOCENT......pure as the driven snow....

please stop regurgitating

And by the way, while you're so busy informing yourself, you need to check out old lady Pelosi.....she's about to take away Obama's power to make any presidential decisions.......you up to date on that one? And now, even the most butt head democrats are beginning to open their eyes to her!

No, am not being racist by not liking how words are spoken
If so then would be against my racially mixed family. I do not like hearing ebonics, I do not care for certain dialects. I am able to say this because I live in America. I do not see hypocrisy in being able to say how I feel. Oh, I do feel the cartoon is racist. How many times have black folks been referred to in that same vein. Certainly it is.
OBAMA WON, the American people have spoken loudly
hahaha
They've already spoken about TAXING sugar, which means.....
ANYTHING with sugar in it (which is tons) will automatically see a price increase!! Now, for all those that think Obama is NOT gonna tax them, just you hide and watch. We told you you weren't gonna get a free ride with Obama...that you too would be taxed to death! It's always those led blindly that think Obama wouldn't dare tax them, they don't make $250K a year!

How foolish they are!
Spoken by someone who posted about Laura Bush's accident about 40 years ago. sm
But I guess we were supposed to forget about that, too?
much ado about nothing...reporter posed question as, "had he spoken to any *living* presidents?..
i agree the reporter's question was absolutely LAME..."has he spoken to any LIVING past presidents?" um...as opposed to talking to dead ones? I thought his response was quick-witted considering the idiocy of the question--at least he didn't put the reporter on the spot and embarrass her...instead he made his first gaffe as POTUSE and already apologized. let's hope the reporters ask SMARTER questions at the next conference.
That's true - and Barack Obama is a true Patriot too.
Again we can agree to disagree. How John McCain has voted goes against everything I want as a President, but there are an equal number of people to me who feel opposite. That's the way it goes.

Your last comment brought to mind how true that is. Being a true patriot is not harmful in a candidate. John McCain is a patriot. So is Barack Obama.
Everything you said is true and can be

easily seen by just reading the board.

At least it can be seen by most of us.

But it IS true.
I saw a feature on it. They had videotapes of the recruiters coaching the kids on how to pass a urine drug screen.  It is absolutely true.
I don't think that is true at all. sm
I think a lot of people are pretty sick of Cindy and her histrionics.  I don't see it as political at all.  A lot of people aren't going to sit by this time for another Vietnam where the antiwar crowd totally influenced the way the war was run.
Not true. sm
They are pro troops and pro Israel.  You are definitely not reading that board right. Is it the guns that offend you?  Or the war with Islamic radicals who all want us dead?  I mean, what EXACTLY offends you the most?
LOL!!! Oh how true! nm

Not true
Re-upped?  He joined the military because all his friends did.  Read Cindy's description of how he got hoodwinked into going.  Re-upped?  No.
LOL. I like that...so true...nm
When in doubt, blame Clinton.
the true me
Happy and peaceful but when I deal with rabid conservatives attacking me..I attack back..Happy and peaceful in my life and in my beliefs, you bet, totally..I can sleep well at night cause I know my ideology/politics help people, I help people..I am an extremely happy peaceful accepting person..However, when I get attacked, I can give as good as I get..I do have to say, the net does not show the true person, so I dont see the true you and you dont see the true me..I have met people who I have only known in the net and when we met, we became friends..So I would take with a grain of salt the impression you get of people over the net..we are much more..
So true sm
That clip would be hilarious if it were not so true.  It is frightening how true it is.
It's true. SM
I remember Nan talking about it.  It was way way back when some of us used to put our e-mails on line here.
This is SO true.nm
nm
True that is.
Lesson good.
Even if that was true (and I don't believe it is), so what?

The one thing the radical right wing HATES is the fact that we have freedom of religion in this country.  We are all free (so far, anyway) to believe in whatever religion we choose.  It might be Christianity, or it might be something else.  Why does it even concern YOU how many Democrats are Christian?  It's simply none of your business, yet you want to jump to conclusions that may or may not be true and judge an entire group of people based upon religious beliefs, some of which might be different from yours.

This is my main problem with the radical Christian right.  They don't seem to believe that other religions are just as good as theirs.  They believe theirs is the best, and anyone who doesn't share their specific religious beliefs are judged to be inferior people.  You want to force your narrow views on everyone, and surely you must know that just isn't going to happen in America.

However, if Americans don't wake up soon and if you manage to wreck America and turn it into a theocracy, I can and WILL move to Canada in a heartbeat to escape your religious bigotry.  By the way, wasn't that the reason this country was formed to begin with -- to end religious persecution?

I can only wonder why YOU haven't been nominated for Supreme Court justice, since you seem to have the only qualification required by Bush.

Oh, that's right.  You're obviously not one of his close personal *friends* who worships him like a god and licks his boots.

Why should she? It's true!

NOT TRUE!

MT was responding to a CHALLENGE to people to put their *money where their mouth is* and if they think this war is so *noble,* then why don't they either enlist or sign up for civilian services over there.

MT said she WILL.  NO PROBLEM. SHE WILL.

No spin.  They are her words.  She didn't say *might* or *would* or *maybe.*  She said she WILL.

You're the one who's doing the spinning.
