Sarah Palin seems like a fine person (sm)
and all, but obviously with a candidate as elderly as McCain, if he were a real Republican interested in the strength of our nation, he would have chosen somebody more ready to step into his shoes in case he has a stroke or something. Instead he chose somebody that may be a good person, but won't steal the power limelight from him. Plus I have no doubt he'll enjoy looking at her. Ugh.
Obama has no room to talk about earmarks....and neither he nor Biden...
have much room to talk about flip flopping. Ahem.

I don't know, I heard Obama denounce bringing the kids into the politics and he seemed pretty forceful and pretty snarly himself. My opinion is the kids ought to be off limits but when the candidates (both of them) trot them out, that takes the "hands off" out of play for me. They can't have it both ways. If they really care about the kids, leave them out of the spotlight TOTALLY. Although I admit the little girl licking her hand and smoothing the baby's hair was pretty endearing..............BUT fairplay, don't show that and then say that it isn't fair to talk about the unwed daughter's pregnancy....so leave her off the camera, don't trot in the boyfriend to participate too. Ridiculous!
Well....lot of people I talk to really like Palin.
As for the way she talks, there are many people in the USA that talk like her and there is nothing wrong with that. Whether they say dagnabit, doggoneit, etc....doesn't make them stupid. There are many people who have seen the good she has done in her own state. You can't be stupid and run a state that successfully with that high of approval rating.

Way to go Gov. Palin! Bright, confident, knowlegeable, cheerful, intelligent, aware of what's gone wrong with our economy and how to fix it, knows foreign politics, knows the voting records of Obama, Biden & McCain. Knows how to help the every day americans get ahead in life. Smart on education, highly intelligent about being energy independent. Knows that America needs to take back Washington and make it work for us and knows how to get it done. Already has the experience of being governor. Anyone notice that whenever she said that Obama/Biden would raise your taxes Biden never said disagreed. Gov. Palin connects with everyone and that will come out. Biden made at least 6 mistatements tonight and I think Americans will see that Obama/Biden will say anything thinking they'll get people's votes. I'm waiting for them to come out with Clinton's old line "I feel your pain".

all the cheating and lying going on in the O camp and 'ole Biden stabbing his running mate in the back isn't a good sign at all. But, no surprise there. Biden had said very early on he didn't care for Obama and that he would like to be McCain's running mate. Can't twist that one no matter how you try.
I'll always know Biden isn't so easily fooled by Obama either but just looking for a foot in the door of the White House to run in four years.

(Sunday, October 19 - Filed by Mark Williams in Raton, New Mexico with the Stop Obama Tour) We learned at this morning’s Stop Obama Rally here that the McCain/Palin Straight Talk Express came through town yesterday. It arrived with a window shattered by a .22 caliber weapon. It had also been hit by an unknown number of paint balls from a paint ball gun or guns. There were reportedly no injuries and neither candidate was on board.
One local man who saw the damage and spoke with the McCain/Palin staffers said the attack(s) had occured in southern New Mexico that same day. The Express is traveling the country independent of the candidates, handing out campaign materials.
Sarah Palin is stumping in of all places Roswell, New Mexico today and then roughly back the way we came with an event at the Henderson, Nevada Pavilion tomorrow and a stop in Elko, Nevada. |

The reason is your and my viewpoints differ so much. There are too many people switching names on a daily basis and I prefer to just keep it to me. That way people won't think I've gone off the deep end or taking any drugs when you spew your fabrications about O'No.

I could see it coming for the past few months and had cut my hours back. Also, I have always had 1 or 2 other jobs just to protect myself.
I had sent out some resumes over the past few months because I had a bad feeling about the hospital, and actually started a new job the day after I got the bad news. The money is not as good, but it is better than not getting paid at all!

We're actually fine, thanks for asking...
we are pretty good at managing our finances; we were also taught at a young age to save our money, to not put it all in the stock market, plus we are debt free but the house. Should something happen to our jobs, we have a year's living expenses put away for that. The media would have you believe everyone is living hand to mouth, has lost all their money in the stock market, and are one step from declaring bankruptcy or being homeless, and that just isn't the case.

You also have to take into account the differences in what one generation feels is appropriate and what the next generation feels is appropriate.
I can remember when I was younger being told I could not even wear jeans to McDonald's when applying for a job, that I needed to wear a dress. Now, with the new generation, you don't even need your "BEST" jeans on - anything goes.
Going for a business interview? Well, forget the dress and panty hose... wear a pantsuit or a dress with bare legs.
At least Obama still has on a dress shirt and a tie, and I am sure the jacket is there available when it is needed.
I also read that one of the problems is that Obama does not like the cold and he keeps the thermostat turned to an uncomfortable high if you have on a jacket.
The Lake is just fine
It used to be horribly polluted but it is fine now. My uncle and aunt own a cabin on Middle Bass Island which is right across from Put-In-Bay. My uncle fishes for Walleye out of the lake all the time. In fact, I was worried he was one of the idiots caught out on the ice that had to be rescued. LOL! Thankfully he was not, but he could have very easily been. He loves to ice fish. We used to vacation there every year with my aunt and uncle.
I think he would handle it just fine...(sm)
However, I don't believe a man should be measured solely based on his ability to fight. I'll take brains over brawn any day.

But it never seems to stop there. I don't own a gun and probably never will. I don't think anyone should, but I do believe it is their right and I would never fight to try to take that away. That is agreeing to disagree.
I believe in a woman's right to chose, you don't. I respect that (that is why it is a choice), but when people starting trying to take that choice away from me, that is not agreeing to disagree, that is telling me what to do, not to do, and that is what I have a problem with.
