MTs who edit are considered to be inferior or even traitors to the profession. Never admit you like editing or make more money (if you do) at it than straight transcription or you will receive an array of nasty comments and/or emails. And never, ever state that you get paid a good line rate for editing either.

Just overlook the comments and be glad you have the flexibility to successfully adapt as the profession evolves. The masses will move on to rail about something else, like offshoring or IC status, in a couple of days.
