People who keep their signal lights on for miles and miles
Shut them off already. Can't you hear the clicking noise!
What kind of miles? Highway or city miles?....
DH says the kind of miles makes a difference. Based on wear and tear I guess. The average person drives about 12K miles a year.

I don't need a DVD player and the price works for me, so I would buy the 2006. JMO.
Let him do it. Like you said, it's temporary. obviously, he doesn't like the commute. Would yo
It's not a big deal. My mom and dad live in a rural country area. My dad is a prison warden and has a 3-1/2 hour commute. Plus they work 12-hour shifts so he lives in the town where he works a few nights a week. He's wasting a lot of money on gas. You should really let him do it. Don't be selfish. You said you cried when he mentioned it. Be strong. You are strong. You can do it. It's not forever. Think of HIM in this situation. It sounds perfectly reasonable to do this.
Ready for round 2... sm
I have been seriously considering having it done a second time, which my doc had said might happen. Periods aren't *that* bad, I just don't want them any longer! ;)

My cousin had it done in the office and the pain was so excruciating, they had to stop the procedure. Apparently the machine was on trial, and they have since decided not to perform in-office procedures. Fortunately, she hasn't had a period since.

I highly recommend having it done. Best of luck to you.

Worst Round -- I agree.
I think I am still in shock. What in the world are people thinking??? The last person to make it through to the final 12 is the very one I thought should have been voted off during the first round of elimination. Cannot stand that one -- he should have been gone a long, long time ago. Ugh.
Life is short and you only get one go-round.
Is this what you wanted out of life? No marriage is perfect, but being faithful is a basic requirement, not to mention the deadly diseases out there. That's all I'll say other than to add, you're much stronger than I am & I hope it all works out for you & you find happiness & peace, one way or the other.
Anyone been able to get out of year-round school? sm
I applied last year for year-round school for my son - well I applied for magnet schools and clicked a box that said year round was an option for me.  He got in. My daughter was still in traditional.  We hated the year round schedule. Now they will not let him out. It is like we are trapped forever.  I just moved to another house and went to register him for a new school that is in our zone and was told that since there is a year-round option he still has to go to year round. I have to go to Growth Management to ask to get him out and they will probably say no.  What can I do? How can I get him out? Has anyone ever given them what they consider to be a valid reason?  I am very upset!
Not really taken for a ride but...
So, I get this call saying that they can negotiate with my CC companies to try to get me a lower interest rate.  They ask what my interest rate was currently, I told them 28%.  They then asked what my balance was, then calculated the approximate amount of money they can save but I would have to pay $400 for their services.  They money I would say was nearly 10,000.  I was pretty desparate as I know that is a high interest rate and I am struggling to make minimum payments.  I did do a BBB check, nothing negative came up.  Anyway, a week later a financial advisor calls me, puts me on a conference call with my CC company.  He just asked the customer service rep if they can lower my interest rate.  Rep says no.  He then asks to speak to the Rep's supe.  Well, the supe dropped it from 28.9% to 5.7%.   I was going WOW.   But, I wonder what he did that I could not do.  I have called my CC before and spoke to a rep about lowering my interest rate and nothing happened, I never thought to ask for a supe.  Do I really need to hire somone and pay that much money?  $400 is a lot and he really did not do much.
Worst AI elimination round ever - I won't give anything away
I know those on the West Coast haven' t seen AI yet, so I won't spoil it for you, but for me I was totally disappointed in three of the four.  Speaking for myself it was the worst elimination I've ever seen.  Let me know your thoughts after you've watched.
I personally have a naturally round face...sm
so, no I don't think extra weight looks good ON ME, and I have enough of it right now.  It all boils down to personal preference, I guess.  Like with most things of this nature.
my favorite, I think, is the little green round onions .....
that that you see topping soups or like that topping the Taco Bell Nacho Supreme. I think I love them all but those are my favorite.
Don't forget the Wild Card Round
Any three of them could be back.

You don’t have to just ride the freeways
I know, lived there and found all kind of back streets to get any and everywhere I wanted- so much easier- always listened to traffic report in the morning and made my travel accordingly. The freeways are just parking lots here, any wreck shuts them completely down for hours. Can he not go on a different route than what he travels now? I do when traveling through now.
I forgot to add that I ride the bus....every day....
My employer pays for us to ride the bus...Helping us all be "green."
I'm cooking a round roast in onions and V8 juice.sm
It smells so good I want to eat it now!  Yum.
Then buy a 2nd plane ticket for it to ride next to her, lol.

that i've been a crime victim more than once, that i'm a descendant of Eric the Red and Leif Erickson...gosh, lots more!!
Mine are teenagers now so they don't ride a bus
but when they were little their bus driver was a member of our church. Her husband is also a bus driver and works for my husband part-time. I know there are lots of crazies out there, just don't lump "all" bus drivers in that catagory.
I visualized a horse, love to ride
and today  I was given a beautiful paint gelding
Does he show the horses or trail ride?
We have horses.  There's ALWAYS something you need or want.  How about a gift certificate to his favorite tack store?  Or something special he wouldn't buy himself for riding?  There's a lot of catalogs that cater to horse owners that have some really cool gifts.  LOL, one of the gifts my 12 yo neice has on her Christmas list is a gift certificate to Tractor Supply, yeah I know, you might be a redneck if . . . .
Differences in people is what makes the world go round. There's no cut and dried anything anymore
department store, where there is no food being served, and her "baby" isn't being a problem, then you shouldn't have the BIG problem with it that you obviously have. I know my dog is a dog, but I have trained her to be quite well behaved, so I don't have a problem taking her around. Only you are the one who is taking this whole thing as rude. I take my dog into the mall all the time and it's no big deal. I'm not being rude or discourteous to anyone and I mind my own business. It really sounds like you need to do the same. Live and let live.
Eye round roast, potatos, yams, corn, and string beans.
Taking advantage of the cool weather and using the oven.
Personally, I would let it ride. Cost a man his job and reputation for a lifetime over this?
And unless you like to see your husband upset, I'd not say anything to him if I were you.

I learned at about the age of 20 how to give a look that made people shudder when they offended me. That is enough for me in situations like this which I consider a 2 on a scale of 1-10 in the sexual harrassment department.

Do you realize the resulting damage you will do if you take a 2 second event into discussion with white shirts?

LOVE all their music. Orchestral + rock. Also, try "Wizards in Winter"!
According to ask.com I'm 66 miles

from Lewisburg.  I'm in MT Union PA.  It's a little town located just east of Lewistown and west of Huntingdon (smack in the middle).  Small the world, huh?

Lewisburg is an easy drive for me.  Would you please email me the name of the surgeon?

Bus trip
I should've stayed home today because I have diarrhea, and I don't see a bathroom on this bus.
How about another trip?
What does she like? Is she interested in history or politics? If so, your area is full of historical places that you could visit for a day, a weekend, or a week. What about visiting D.C.? How about a trip to Mount Rushmore? Or Niagara Falls - see it from both sides. Visit some of the old forts up there.

If you're north of NY, what about Lake George? Or, go the Jersey shore, the Maine shore - kayak in the ocean.

I'm sure you'll find some great way to celebrate. Let us know what you decide, please?
re: son's trip
HI Trose,

I just want to say that this opportunity just might be what God will use to show your son where He wants him in ministry or use it to call him to the mission field. I know it is hard to let him go especially after what happened, but remember this....God will not allow that boy to die before his time and God is in control of his life! If your son is a strong christian, like my 17 yr old son who also wants to be a missionary, then He has given his life to the Lord and he wants to serve Him. Do not get in the way of the Lord using your son....Trust Jesus...He will protect him and guide him and direct him in all his ways....He goes before Him and is his rear guard....you can't help but allow him to be used of the Lord. My son is going to Thailand on his spring break this year as he is also a senior and loves the Lord and wants to serve Him on the mission field somewhere. We love him and want him to do what the Lord is calling him to do. It is hard to let them go, but Jesus is in control!
God bless you and your son!

How much did you walk? Every day? How many miles - sm
I have 60-80 to lose (80 pound weight loss being my HS/college weight) and cannot exercise right now except for walking (hurt my arm/shoulder). Since I cannot go to Curves right now until my shoulder is diagnosed and healed (will know the verdict Friday) I plan on getting into a walking plan right now since the weather has finally turned beautiful and am going to try to walk off at least 20 pounds before my OB/GYN appt in 5 weeks. Since you had so much success in 6 weeks of walking, I'd love to know the how much and how often you walked. TIA.
Got you beat by miles! $3.23 in CA (sm)
and $86 to fill up our Expedition. Which is why we mostly keep it parked in the garage nowadays. Bought in back in 1999 before all this gas price gouging hooey.
Mine is 12 yrs old and has 240,000 miles and still going!
Gotta love no payments! LOL
No, but they live 100 miles away.....sm
so we always know when they are coming. My BIL is rallying really hard to get them to move to where we live though so he does not have to deal with them anymore (he is the favored child of their 2 sons so to me it is the price he has to pay). We used to live about 20 minutes from them but even then they did not just drop by though they did have keys to the house. We moved 2 hours away just before my first daughter was born (yeah!), had we stayed I know we would have had some issues. They told me a few months after Jess was born that had we stayed they would have been over every day, I told them I would have changed the locks and not answered the door. (I was not kidding). So I would (1) keep your doors locked, you should anyway (2) if they have keys either get them back or change one lock, add deadbolt, whatever so when it is locked they cannot get in with the other key. Simply way of keeping them out, and if they try to visit them, just say no, you cannot come in right now as it is not a good time and to call next time and shut the door. Maybe they will get the message then. Good luck.
it's about 2 miles from the beach

here on the West Coast of Michigan in Muskegon.  Bought the house from a man who was a nut and who had bought it in foreclosure for 17K.  Huge yard, 100 x 100 feet, all fenced.  Two bedrooms, one bath, just over 800 square feet (pretty small).  All new siding, all new triple-pane windows, new furnace, new fridge, new hot water heater, new stove (found the receipt, $1700 for the set), and a totally re-done kitchen.  It's in the inner city, I call it my "little house in the hood."  Taxes are about $900 a year.  The only repairs we needed to make were to the plumbing, of which there was none, and I mean none.  So, my nephew and I spent just over $200 and learned how to plumb -- all connected and flowing, PVC is my new best friend.

There's tons of houses even cheaper than this here, just not the best neighborhoods, but you can houses anywhere from 2 to 5 to 20 grand as fixer-uppers.  I take my child to school of choice out of district, cuz I wanted him to go to school where I went; it's only a 5-mile drive.  Gotta love it, good enough for now.

A trip to Ireland? (see msg)
Just talked to a dear friend on the phone over my break, who just got back from a tour guided trip to Ireland. She and her husband went to celebrate 30  years of a wonderful marriage. She tells me one woman went alone and had a great time. They stayed in a castle overnight and met the keeper of the castle, a wonderful Irish Wolfhound named Oscar. The thought of doing this is exciting and yet somewhat scary and depressing at the same time. I am single and so tired of being along and doing nothing I could scream!  I am tired of always being looked upon as the one who is ALONE.   . . Comments, PLEASE!

Vegas trip

Hey Hoku,

Well, give us all the dirt!!!  Did you or did you not have a great time with your friend best friend in Vegas?  Enquiring minds need to know!!!

Hey my hubby and I took a trip
to Williamsburg Virginia long time ago and went through Colonial Williamsburg, took a dinner cruise around the Navy ships in Norfolk, spent some time on Virginia Beach, went to a beautiful plantation! We have tons of pics but I have no idea where I put them all....geez I think that was like 20 years ago!
Just want to say my trip to Greece anything but fun
I would never go there again and would not tell anyone to do. The ugly American certainly was something I picked up on there, the people were obnoxious, really nasty to me- spent lots of $$$$ and sorry I ever visited.
