department store, where there is no food being served, and her "baby" isn't being a problem, then you shouldn't have the BIG problem with it that you obviously have. I know my dog is a dog, but I have trained her to be quite well behaved, so I don't have a problem taking her around. Only you are the one who is taking this whole thing as rude. I take my dog into the mall all the time and it's no big deal. I'm not being rude or discourteous to anyone and I mind my own business. It really sounds like you need to do the same. Live and let live.

Got a creamed dried beef question. Do you find it best to saute the dried beef in the butter and

What an embarrassment these people are to the dog world.
 This has been a huge topic on one of my golden lists on and off for nearly a year. A friend of mine lives in the same county as the Schocks and she has been updating us on the plight of the pups. Last February an article was published in the Sullivan County Democrat about the puppies, but only recently has it gone nationally.
The "White Lake Goldens" kennel is nothing but despicable. Alex and Suzana Schock and their PM needs to be shut down and hopefully soon...and their NYS dealer license should be revoked. Why they have a dealer's license is beyond me!

do stuff they would not normally do. Did your dad have a history of being a dirty old man? I have heard many a story about men who start acting totally inappropriately when dementia sets in, kissing, grabbing, swearing, talking dirty, etc, that is/was totally out of character for them. I hope in your case that is all it was.
What makes some people forgive so easily and others not so easy? sm
The reason I ask is that I am in a very unique situation. I have a family member (an in law) who basically hates me. She and I have sort of been at it on and off for 8 years. She's a very mean person, very judgmental, hates everybody. I mean, seriously. It's bad. She rubbed off on me for too long. We were friends! I used to point and make fun at others ONLY when around her. When I finally caught on that she was not a very good influence and that I was so easily pursuaded by her meanness towards other people (backstabbing, etc), I began to keep my distance. And she caught on. Now she hates me. For no reason, really, other than I don't call her anymore, don't hang out with her anymore. And here lately she has been doing evil things to me like returning cards I've sent to her family with a giant "return to sender" on the envelope, getting her sister against me (I mean, come on, how old are we??), etc. She will be at my mother in law's for the holidays with her kids and I am cringing inside. In fact, just today, I received a nasty email from her when I got home saying some pretty mean things, calling me crazy, insane, etc. which I know I'm not, but it hurts anyways to hear stuff like that. She has a very hard time forgiving people, I've seen it over and over in her life, and now it has come to the fact that I need her to forgive me in order for ME to have peace in my life. It's just the kind of person that I am. I am totally willing to look past all the mean things she's done and said the past year and try to move forward positively!
So, fast forward. I've written her an email basically BEGGING for her forgiveness and saying I'm sorry for whatever I've done to hurt you (I know I've hurt her by not wanting to be around her,etc), and told her it wasn't good for us to be on the outs like this. I am pretty sensitive (if you can't tell already), and I really, really, really wish she could get past all of this and just forgive. We all need a little forgiveness, don't we?? What do you think? Why is it that some are so easily forgiven and others will go to their grave filled with HATE? I don't understand it one bit.
I'm not saying I'm any better than she is. I know I'm not. I just don't have an evil vein in my body to not forgive people and I HATE when others talk about others behind their backs. It's mean. I grew up around that stuff and once I reached adulthood and realized that I didn't need to talk about others to make myself feel better, I hated being around it. Give me some advice. Should I send the letter?
Please help me. Would you send it? She obviously needs love. What would you do? Would you just tell her to forget it and move on or would you be like her and hate back?

regarding children and food. The way you describe is how most parents used to be, I think. I'm not saying which is right or wrong. I believe in providing a variety of healthy food and keeping the junk out of the house for the most part (and parents providing a good example by eating the good stuff themselves), but not having to eat everything on the plate or insisting they eat something they hate. Kids will eat when they are hungry.. My son likes whole wheat bread because we never had any other kind

but we still speak to one another at least 2-3 times week...I live 1004 miles away from them...We talk about everything and nothing...What's for dinner?...Have you poked your spouse in the eye with a sharp stick yet?...How's Mommy doin'?....Kids, animals, politics, music, lots of trivia...

Dried Beans
I always used to use those for bean soup for our family reunion. About 10 years ago, I made it and the beans were still crunchy! First time I had that problem. I had to throw it all out (20 quarts) and start all over again, yet only had 1 day until the reunion, ran out and bought canned beans. Worked. Now I use canned beans instead.
Never knew what happened, but I'd rather use dried beans because of the cost and shelf life.
Had hysterectomy years ago and not dried up per se but
my face was doing exactly as yours, the flaking of the eyelids. My surgery was in 1984 so it was not that. My dermatologist told me to never ever again put regular soap or those good smelling products on my face and told me to use Cetaphil soap (get at your drug store, Wal-Mart, etc) and I was not believing her but it works. The dry flaky eyelids went away as well as the other dry parts on my face. I tried a lot of the other things the people mentioned on MTs to me but finally found the answer. Try it, I do not think you will be sorry. Hey, by the way, my eyebrows even had dandruff (none on head) in them and that was terrible. Good luck!

Ready for round 2... sm
I have been seriously considering having it done a second time, which my doc had said might happen. Periods aren't *that* bad, I just don't want them any longer! ;)
My cousin had it done in the office and the pain was so excruciating, they had to stop the procedure. Apparently the machine was on trial, and they have since decided not to perform in-office procedures. Fortunately, she hasn't had a period since.
I highly recommend having it done. Best of luck to you.
Worst Round -- I agree.
I think I am still in shock. What in the world are people thinking??? The last person to make it through to the final 12 is the very one I thought should have been voted off during the first round of elimination. Cannot stand that one -- he should have been gone a long, long time ago. Ugh.
Life is short and you only get one go-round.
Is this what you wanted out of life? No marriage is perfect, but being faithful is a basic requirement, not to mention the deadly diseases out there. I applied last year for year-round school for my son - well I applied for magnet schools and clicked a box that said year round was an option for me. He got in. My daughter was still in traditional. We hated the year round schedule. Now they will not let him out. It is like we are trapped forever. I just moved to another house and went to register him for a new school that is in our zone and was told that since there is a year-round option he still has to go to year round. I have to go to Growth Management to ask to get him out and they will probably say no. What can I do? How can I get him out? Has anyone ever given them what they consider to be a valid reason? I am very upset!
Worst AI elimination round ever - I won't give anything away
I know those on the West Coast haven' t seen AI yet, so I won't spoil it for you, but for me I was totally disappointed in three of the four. Speaking for myself it was the worst elimination I've ever seen. Let me know your thoughts after you've watched.

In order to maintain a roof over our head and food on the table, etc., I finally put my foot down with my "spender" of a husband. His check (around half as much as mine) is now directly deposited into the checking account that he has no access to period.
If there is money left over after bills are paid and he sees something he absolutely has to have then I buy it.
I know it sounds like I "wear the pants" in the family, but we wouldn't have any pants if I left finances up to him. This man could spend his whole paycheck in a half an hour and just bring home "stuff" because it was "cool." We have been able to buy a house and we haven't had the power or phone shut off in over 5 years.
If I hadn't done this, we'd have been living in a shack with no running water, but you can bet your paycheck that we'd have a big screen TV.

Don't use it anymore, but when I did...
cleaned the thing each and every time. I won't even use a frying pan for making grilled cheese or something without cleaning it out each time. My MIL does that stuff and it grosses me out. :/

She's 21 and sadly makes her own decisions. She's too addled to know enough to hire someone to watch over her. Coke gives you a feeling of invincibility. Mom's a mess and so is Dad. She was so darn cute in the Parent Trap too.

I went home from the hospital 12 hours after my son was born and had no problems whatsoever. I was at Wal-Mart shopping that night because the doctor told me it was good to start walking and just not to overdo it.
I don't remember there being any pain after he was born, just soreness all over really.

I told them they could hurt her and that they can't play rough with her like they do with me. I do wish she would understand that they are kids though. They haven't intentionally been mean and if they were, they would be in trouble!

I have done this work for about 11 years. At first I loved it. I still do love it in a way...I mean I would not mind doing it every once in a while LOL! But I just can't stay focused on it anymore. And I have been having anxiety and panic too and trouble sleeping. I think it is because we don't use our bodies or brains in a normal way and things start malfunctioning. LOL! I don't know! I just know it's making me nuts to keep sitting here all day every day! I got a chance to go with a friend today to walk, have lunch and go shopping. The pure ecstatic feeling I got just at the thought of taking a walk in the daylight and eating lunch out was amazing. That's kind of a problem....it's not that exciting!
