I would rather my child have a vaccination against one of the more dreaded diseases than to chance getting it. I also had whopping cough as a child but do not believe they had vaccination against it then. As with the flu vaccine, you can still get it but the changes are that it will be LESS intense. I know nothing about how good the vaccine is and I am not being told I have to have so really nothing for me to worry about.
