Good suggestion

This is spiteful juvenile behavior and when children act out or show off you do not reward them with more attention.  You try to ignore them and if that doesn't work give them a time-out and banish them to their rooms.  Any attention she gets is obviously encouraging this person to keep at it. I say we starve her.

Good idea. I second that suggestion.
Thanks.
A suggestion

I've been thinking about you stating on a public forum/message board that I am the person responsible for threatening you and your family.  I assume these sorts of threats to a person via email are illegal, not sure what the charge would be if brought to litigation, however, I would think that your stating publicly you are sure I'm the person responsible is probably a very bad idea on your part.

I am a 54-year-old grandmother who has never harassed anyone via email.  The closest I have ever come to anything harassment-wise were the ugly emails I got from the former owner of this board.  I still have them.  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions, I have had the same email for about 8 years.  If you truly believe I am the person responsible for terrorizing you and your family I think you should inform the authorities investigating these threats of my personal information so they can assure you I am not the person you have accused me of being.

Suggestion
Gosh, darn it, why don't you get this information post haste to RNC headquarters.  Maybe they can have McCain and Palin start talking about this stuff and  win over a few non-thinking voters in the coming days (if they can stop in-fighting).  Get these "facts" out there!
Just a suggestion s/m
I'd be mighty careful about calling people fools.  You never know who's going to end up the biggest fool.  Someone below said that I would probably come back here and eat crow if I'm wrong.  Count on it.
Suggestion for you...(sm)

They may be more your speed.

This is a ridiculous suggestion
Just like your parents can't make that decision for you Bush can't make those decisions for his daughters. For cryin' out loud, think about it? I don't believe they could sign up for Secret Service issues, because what more could the enemy ask for but a direct chance to take a presidential family member hostage. Have you even thought of the implications of that? I can't believe you all don't think this through before making such absurd suggestions...unbelievable.
Suggestion from a newbie to this board
Can we just not respond to them, a.k.a. ignore them? I know it is VERY hard, but just don't respond.

As I read in another post, there is no way we are going to change each other's opinions. A good debate is good, but when it gets ugly, and it usually does, it's just not worth wasting time.
Doubt they will follow your suggestion.
nm
That's the best suggestion I have heard yet regarding the debates. nm
NM
The power of suggestion I guess...nm
nm
Their suggestion would be a great big "duhhh"
Very similar to W's approach.
Every time we offer a suggestion
we get laughed at and told we are asking for handouts.

I still believe that the best way to revive the banks is to go through the homeowners. Isn't bailing out and giving money to the big buisnesses still essentially trickle down economics? It's going to take too long for this stimulus to reach the average citizen. By then too many people will be without a job/home/food, etc.

I agree, was very good. -and she answered with

Good post! I agree with you both!!!!!!

i agree... not too good on the eyes
but he was a cutie
Good answers whether I agree with you or not. n/m

Wow....I agree with you. Good article,,,,sm
Can't believe I actually agree with you, but I do!! Very good explanation of all who are at fault which is actually....EVERYONE!!
Good point, I agree with that...nm
nm
I agree with you...good post -sm
Unfortunately the rest of them on here can't even comprehend what you said.  Now they are going on about not working?  Good grief!
I agree - this was actually a really good show.
And Beck wasn't acting - he's genuinely concerned about where America is headed and wants the people (you know, the ones that are supposed to be the largest part of the government - 'of the people, by the people and for the people') are atually being heard.

I may not agree with everything being said on his show, or O'Reilly, but these are opinion shows, not the news - they're allowed to say how they feel, just like any of the opinion shows on MSNBC or CNN.

During the news portions, Fox does have on Democrats to state their cases - I don't know how many times they talked to a Democrat congressman during the stimulus voting!

My advice is to either watch the entire program (not just a clip) or don't pay any attention to it at all because if you don't get the whole story, you just sound like a hateful left-winger spewing garbage.
Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't want to trade one non-secure site for another.

I'm looking for a site where the administrator is neutral and ethical and doesn't threaten people with their ISP numbers.

If there is one out there, I'd appreciate knowing about it.

As far as your posting here, that's your decision.  I couldn't care less because I'm only staying on this board long enough to see if anyone else it appalling that an administrator would track ISP numbers of posters for telling the truth about their employer.  Then I won't be coming back any more, to any of the boards here.

And thanks for finally being honest and saying it's your preference, instead of the disingenuous I'll leave.  Are you happy now? type comments that I doubt anyone believed, anyway.

I agree this would be a good thing if it passes....

but she should move the ethics investigation to Harry Reid next:

REID'S LAST KNOWN NATIONAL MEDIA APPEARANCE: October 18th Trying To Explain His Ethical Issues. Sen. Reid: I bought a piece of land, sold it six years later. Everything was reported. It was all transparent. (CNN's Newsroom, 10/18/06)

[H]arry Reid Has Been Using Campaign Donations Instead Of His Personal Money To Pay Christmas Bonuses For The Support Staff At The Ritz-Carlton ... Federal Election Law Bars Candidates From Converting Political Donations For Personal Use. (John Solomon, Reid Used Campaign Money For Christmas Bonuses At Personal Condo, The Associated Press, 10/16/06)

  • Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid Collected A $1.1 Million Windfall On A Las Vegas Land Sale Even Though He Hadn't Personally Owned The Property For Three Years ... (John Solomon and Kathleen Hennessey, Reid Got $1 Million For Land He Hadn't Owned For 3 Years, The Associated Press, 10/11/06)

  • Harry Reid, The Senate's Top Democrat, Makes Frequent Trips To His Home State Of Nevada. (Brody Mullins, Lawmakers Tap PAC Money To Pay Wide Array Of Bills, The Wall Street Journal, 11/2/06)

That would also be a good place to start.

Hey JTTB - good to see you here..i totally agree with what your'e saying..

I just wonder why the American people didn't raise holy h@ll for the last eight years when the handwriting was on the wall regarding the direction our economy was headed - our former President didn't seem to have a problem telling us to all go to h#ll when he blatantly lied about everything he and the administration were doing.  Now wer'e paying for the royal standard of living for his filthy rich buddies in the banking and weapons and various industries while we worry about whether or not we are going to have a 401k left (if we are lucky enough to have one).  Obama has only been in office for a short period of time.  It took a long time for us to get into the mess we are ALL in; it's going to take time and patience for us to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

PS - JTTB:  I also want to direct you to the Huffington Post to check out something that this mayor in So Cal sent to his friend - this clown sent a online 'postcard' of the White House with watermelons on the front lawn..I am mentioning this because there are some people on this board who think that racism does not exist, and that black people 'overreact' to insulting things such as New York Post cartoon.  Check it out.

Terrorists...good word - agree..nm
nm
I think you picked the wrong time to make such a suggestion...nm
nm
good point.....this one bans if you don't agree with them....or maybe this has stopped since the
.
I agree that a phased withdrawal would be a good thing...
after we have given the surge every opportunity to work and have given the Iraqis every opportunity to step up and take over security of their own country. We cannot afford to leave too quickly and allow AL Qaeda to take it over and use it as a base from which to attack us and I have no doubt they would do just that. As to Iran...I cannot see us invading Iran like we invaded Iraq, for a multitude of reasons. I believe the term surgical strikes would take on a whole new meaning if that became necessary. Honestly, I think if Ahmadinejad persists in this nuclear thing we will not have to do anything, because I believe Israel will handle it. I don't think Israel will stand by and let him get nukes. It would be suicide to do so...because if he attacked, that would be his first target, I would be willing to bet the farm. What I am really afraid of is he will put weapons grade nuc material in the hands of Al Qaeda for a dirty bomb to attack us with. That is why I don't want to abandon Iraq to become a base for such things. However, if the Iraqi govt does not step up...I would agree that we cannot stay there for life everlasting at the strength we are now. As you say, that does impair our safety at home. I think we need to concentrate on controlling our borders better.

On that note, I did see a somewhat encouraging report on illegals. Seems that more and more of them are moving on up to Canada because...get this...it is easier to get on programs if you are illegal and Canada pays more...LOL. Well more power to them I guess. Let Canada deal with them. I bet if we started a sweep to round up illegal aliens they would run north in droves. Which is okay too. Not great for Canada but better for us.

Be well, DW!
Good post....truth doesn't always sound good

Good for you! Most people would not recognize good...sm
character if it hit them over the head, just sheep who follow along without thinking for themselves, believing the political pundit spitting out garbage.
Good post - good research (sm)
History does repeat itself at times. I had forgotten about the 50s and Russia.

Very scary times we live in and so many new enemies. This is definitely not a scare tactic but a very clear warning. You can't ignore facts, they are there.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Good point, good post. Thanks.

I agree, that goes for both sides. I don't agree with those starting trouble over...sm
on your board either, but then some of you come and take it out on the people who only post here and we have nothing to do with the fights over there.

I enjoy communicating with liberals and occasionally do learn something from conservative posters, so I refuse to let the driveby, no moniker, one-sided finger pointers, self-indulging posters drive me off.
Rush is right. I agree. Somebody's gotta agree.
....in many of his policies in his attempt to completely socialize America.

I hope he fails.

I hope he succeeds, however, in the office of president, and doing the right thing, and moves to the center.

However, it's not looking good. He's left of left so far, isn't he. Showing who he truly is, in his first acts as president.

Good One!!!
especially since I have four cats and no dogs....I did have a pit bull once, but he was the sweetest thing and rather lick you to death than bite!!!
Good
Great, we have something in common.  *BIG HUG*.  Bye, Brunson.
Well, good, cuz I am not following you at all. SM
An analogy was made and you are making it sound like a Bible verse?   Please.   Give it up.
LOL! That's a good one.

Contact the administrator so that you can give her more than just your ISP to use against you.  Why not give her your email, so she can report back to your employer with your name, too?

Thanks, good to see
a fair sampling of papers. There are so few independent papers anymore; and they all put out the same spin due to being owned by  the The Powers That Be, it is good to hear people speaking out again but my God, what it took to have that happen.
LOL! Good one!

I can't stop laughing at the row v wade line!

As far as everything else you said, I couldn't agree more.  Thank you for posting your honest feelings.  It helps a lot to know that all those who are born again aren't of the radical mindset that is usually shown on these boards.

good vs bad
That is the trouble with radical right wingers..they think the world is evil or good..black or white..you are either with us or not..axis of evil..LOL..simple thinking for complicated times, if you ask me..
Good ones...sm

Especially staying the course, 911 and ownership society.

These are good :) nm

Good ones..nm

This is another good one.

This is about the power of dissent and the duty of the TRUE PATRIOT to exercise it.

Good for him...sm
(off topic: A 17-year old deputy. That's kinda young for the job I would think.)

Booze does amplify the personality. You do and say things that you would not have if you weren't 'under the influence.' I can't overlook the fact that Mel's father says the the Holocaust did not happen, and is fiction. The same father who moved his family to Australia so that his older brothers would not have to go to Vietnam mind you. What's that saying about apples?

I've learned to separated the man from the movies. Passion of the Christ, I loved.

Pol Pot...not a good example. sm

Pol Pot would have never been allowed his free reign had we stayed the course in Vietnam.  The left got their wish.  We withdrawn.  Millions died.  But the left never talks about that.

As far as *we* killing blacks and American Indians. I never killed anyone.  Africans were caught and sold by their own people to the slave traders.  We can sit and assign guilt until now to kingdom come.  To read posts like this further illustrates the people in this country who think of the U.S. as the great Satan.

This is very good to know.
This seems to diametrically oppose what Marylandgal is saying, too.
Good for you and good for him!
I think he is going to go a long way and I think he would make a very deliberate and thoughtful president that could just lead us out of this quagmire the country is currently in, and I think he has the better national healthcare proposition on the table. I hope he maximizes on his momentum. New Hampshire may not be so quick to endorse though.
