Why doesn't this surprise me??

doesn't surprise me a bit!
x
Your theory doesn't really surprise
me.  I just think it sucks that illegals get so much money from us for education, health care, etc.  Now they want to give illegals the right to vote?  What is the point of being an American citizen nowadays.  You get more rights and benefits being illegal.  It just irks me!!!
No surprise.

Two Democrats today commented on leftists like you and several others on this board.  I sure do agree with them.

Mike Kinsley, lifelong Democrat, on Pelosi’s pathetic platform:

For national security in general, the Democrats’ plan is so according-to-type that you cringe with embarrassment: It’s mostly about new cash benefits for veterans. Regarding Iraq specifically, the Democrats’ plan has two parts. First, they want Iraqis to “assum[e] primary responsibility for securing and governing their country.” Then they want “responsible redeployment” (great euphemism) of American forces.

Older readers may recognize this formula. It’s Vietnamization—the Nixon-Kissinger plan for extracting us from a previous mistake. But Vietnamization was not a plan for victory. It was a plan for what was called “peace with honor” and is now known as “defeat.”

Maybe “A New Direction for America” is just a campaign document—although it seems to have had no effect at all on the campaign. My fear is that the House Democrats may try to use it as a basis for governing.

Orson Scott Card, lifelong Democrat, on the only issue that matters in this election:

I say this as a Democrat, for whom the Republican domination of government threatens many values that I hold to be important to America’s role as a light among nations.

But there are no values that matter to me that will not be gravely endangered if we lose this war. And since the Democratic Party seems hellbent on losing it — and in the most damaging possible way — I have no choice but to advocate that my party be kept from getting its hands on the reins of national power, until it proves itself once again to be capable of recognizing our core national interests instead of its own temporary partisan advantages.

To all intents and purposes, when the Democratic Party jettisoned Joseph Lieberman over the issue of his support of this war, they kicked me out as well. The party of Harry Truman and Daniel Patrick Moynihan — the party I joined back in the 1970s — is dead. Of suicide.

This may come as a surprise to you, but...
nm
Why should this surprise you? Now he is saying
that they need to have more regulation, after wanting to de-regulate years ago.
No surprise here...(sm)
I think I said a couple days ago they wouldn't be happy with the result and that it would just turn into a larger *conspiracy.*  Thanks for not disappointing.  LOL
no be surprise
he admits to being a heavy drinker, dating strippers, etc.  He has only donned this moral costume with the church talk and happy marriage schitch since he has had to go far right to get conservative support this election cycle.  Before he was defeated by Bush, he was more left-central.  Now is fair right.
Big surprise, huh?

With all that lynch mob mentality going on, people are waking up to the real deal.  Even a lot of very prominent pubs are turning away, advising JM to dump that noose around his neck because she is dragging him down.  After all, he did create the monster.  I say, what goes around . . .

No surprise there....
he is a socialist.
This may come as a surprise to you,
are not one monolithic group of people who share the same literal read of the Quran as you would have us believe. Substitute the word Jihadist for Muslim in your statement and then we might have something to talk about. I will not put myself in the position to defend the teachings of a Holy Book that is read, interpreted and elaborated in thousands of different ways by 1.5 billion people who are members of the world's second largest religion. My issue here is not whether or not minority sects within that religion are terrorist...the same way that I see fanatical Christians, by the way (and before you go there, I am Christian). My issue is the ignorant, dangerous rhetoric that would paint a huge majority of humble, spiritual, religious people of faith of any religion in one broad stroke that would leave us believing they they are all out to "get us."
No surprise there.
With the kind of narrow-minded thinking and myopic world view you hav expressed in your posts, of course you can't envision anything except your own stupidity.
Big surprise there.

No surprise here
Been watching this woman move up the ranks of corruption in California for many years now.
For many of us that comes as no surprise......
They have already told O that out of those released from there, they already know to be fact that over 60% of them go back to fight and kill!

Yep, all those poor little gitmo guys now being treated like kings in the bahamas.... nice place to start another group up terrorists training!!!! Too bad so many O lovers have been sucked into that belief that those guys are just lovable little teddy bears!!!
Ayers doesn't regret the bombings, doesn't feel like they did enough sm

In a story that appeared in the Times on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Ayers told a reporter while promoting his memoir "Fugitive Days": "I don't regret setting bombs...I feel we didn't do enough."

Mr. Ayers, now a professor of education in Chicago, was a founder of the Weather Underground, which bombed government buildings in the early 1970s. He was indicted on conspiracy charges that were thrown out for prosecutorial misconduct.

He served with Mr. Obama on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago, a charitable organization, and, along with his wife, the former Weather Underground member Bernardine Dohrn, hosted Mr. Obama at his home in 1995 when he was running for state office.

Mr. Obama has called Mr. Ayers "somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old."...so because it was 40 years ago, and Ayers is still proud of what he did, how is it justifiable for a US presidential candidate to now be friends with this man?  Unless he has the same view of America.

Nan, you were stalked??? What a surprise!!!!!
nm
Wouldn't surprise me if he still is.
Nothing the Bush administration does surprises me any more.
This does not come as a surprise. Thanks for posting..nm

What? No takers? No surprise there.
nm
You just might have a big surprise me thinks. lol.

I pray that you will get a surprise

and your husband will be home for the birth of your first child.  I admire that you accept that it is his job.  You are a brave young lady.

Just a coincidence, my favorite Kiger Mustang mare is expecting her first foal on Feb. 21 so I'm going to be a "granny."  LOL

Take care of yourself and that baby!  I'll "argue" with you anytime.  LOL

Pleasant surprise?
SURPRISE!!! We're being attacked AGAIN.  Even Mr. Biden said we are in for an attack of some sort in order to "test" O...Yeah, that's the kind of change I'm looking for...
I actually don't find it to be a surprise at all...
California voted to ban gay marriage before. The supreme court overturned the proposition and allowed it, citing that it was against the state constitution, so all this did was amend the constitution to reinstate what has been voted in before.
Ummm, this may come as a surprise to you
There are between 1.3 and 1.6 BILLION Moslems in the world. Estimates of how many live in the US are widely disputed, but range between 2 and 7 million. Among them, only a very small percentage of them are extremist. That leaves about a BILLION of them, give or take, for Obama to "win over." Got it?
Of course he is a believer. ..... which is no surprise
when you see the agenda he is shoving down everyone's throats!!! People better wake up and take back their country before this man destroys it!
Let me rephrase that. It doesn't *seem like* my vote doesn't count...sm
It does not count because its in the bag that our 3 electoral votes will go to the republican party.
No surprise that he received such applause!

Did you read the other story on that page regarding the U.S. plans to invade Venezuela?  Is the administration so stupid to think that people will actually believe that troops were sent there for R&R?  Gimme a break!

It's really a shame when a socialist leader has more honesty and integrity than an American president.  Given the choice, who would you believe, Bush or Chavez?  Not much of a contest, is it?

What a surprise, you don't condemn skinheads.

And, as usual, you twist my words in order to attack my posts.  I wrote, *It's too bad that these *rotten apples* are making the majority of the good military look bad.*

Shame on YOU for not thinking this is horrible.

It's hard to surprise a fool. NT

This is not a surprise either: Chertoff says US needs more authority. sm

Martial law wouldn't surprise me. n/m
x
I didn't think much could surprise me anymore
but this is some creepy stuff. What's next?
It wouldn't surprise me if he changes the law - see message
and allows other countries flags to fly above our so we don't hurt their feelings. After all, according to him we are just a bunch of "selfish ignorant Americans".
It wouldn't surprise me if it broke out....(sm)
into a full fledged civil war.  With everything that's going on over there right now, that would be a huge mess.  However, this may be the only way for Iranian people to break out of it.  I think those who would revolt would definitely get a lot of backing though.  I just don't know how much the US could do to back them considering how our resources are so thin right now.
China is not industrialized? That would be a real surprise to them, I am sure. nm

What a surprise. You need to shut your TV off & open your mind.nm

No big surprise here....you pick and choose the facts you want...sm
to read and hear. I'm tired of trying to educate you.

Meanwhile, Barry Obama can do no wrong, and the facts are spun in the media to his direction, making him look like the poster boy for "poor me" they're trying to "smear me" ....

No matter that it is all TRUE!!!!!

Well, boo hoo.

Barry worked for ACORN, was and is, friends with terrorists and racists and liberal democratic former CEOs of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, people who hate this country and all it stands for are his so called "friends" that he has thrown under the bus.

Watch, if he wins, they'll all pop out of the woodwork again.

That man lies and rewrites his life story, and you all believe him.

That old saying that goes: Show me a person's friends and those he surrounds himself with, and it will show you who he is.

Well, I certainly don't like and trust what and who Barry Obama.

Gee, how come there is NO ONE from Barry's former or current life, that are friends that can stand up for his character?

The street is always one-way for the democrats, the biggest spin doctors around.

I'll take SP over O any day.

Making an oak out of an acorn was the October surprise
Nice try. It ain't gonna stick, just like Ayers and all the other smears don't stick. Watch SNL tonight to see them rip Palin apart. Tina Fey was on Letterman last night saying how Palin isn't smart enough and got roars and resounding applause from the audience.
Colin Powell....closet democrat...no surprise there...nm

Bush speech on terror, followed by *surprise* terror alert. Whaaaaaaaaat?

Bush took to TV cameras again to try to sell his Brooklyn Bridge of a war, this time tossing around buzz words like *communism* and *fascism.*  (Yawn)

But wait!!

Within a couple hours, during a televised news conference with Mayor Bloomberg, it was announced that evidence of a bomb threat specific to place, time and method had been received and that the source was very credible. (First thought: *But I thought were were fighting them there so we don't have to fight them HERE.*  Second thought: *This is bad.  We've been warned in advance of this.  Look what happened when we were warned in advance about Katrina?!*)

Yikes!

But wait!

Shortly following that news conference with Mayor Bloomberg, the powers that be in Washington issued a statement that the  threat has doubtful credibility.

Oh.

Okay.  Just another terror warning in America......or not.

God will never offend me, but it wouldn't surprise me if you offend GOD.

People who use God to lie and twist things to their liking are the people who offend me.

The purpose of the site you posted is to bring people to Jesus Christ.  There is certainly nothing wrong with that.

What IS wrong, however, is that the people they list as being *athiests* are people who don't follow their personal religious beliefs, and they are therefore *judged* to be athiests.  This doesn't make it true.  I asked you for facts.  You haven't provided any.  All you provided was slander.

If anything, Phil Donahue respects God more than anyone on this laughable *athiest* site.  Phil Donahue has always taken to task those who feel their God is *better* than anyone else's, always pushed the envelope with the most radical and least credible of the religious fanatics who claim to have an *inside track* to God that nobody else has.  He's asked these so-called Christians if Jews are privileged to go to heaven to their way of thinking, or people of other religions.  Phil Donahue has exposed these people as being totally UN-Jesuslike in their hatred and condemnation of groups of society.  Phil Donahue BELIEVES in freedom of religion for everyone and doesn't buy into spiritual superiority.

THAT'S why you don't like him.  Trying to pass off this ridiculously slanderous site as being authentic shows who truly is uninformed on this board.

It doesn't appear they are.

It doesn't take all that...sm
If you disagree just state your points. Leave the stupid and fool name calling off. It only degrades the entire conversation and will start a whole new mess. That you may or may not want to be in. I don't know you may want that but since you are on the liberal board don't bash the posts here.
No he doesn't. sm
Rush and David Liimbaugh, along with their mother, are staunch conservatives.  If you are a conservative, a true conservative, Rush espouses a true conservative viewpoint. He doesn't hate liberals.  He loathes me.  There is a difference.  Rush is a big target for liberal talking heads.  His brother is more low key but just as staunchly conservative.  Yes, he makes money with his talk show.  Can you tell me someone who is business to NOT make money.  I can't seem to think of anyone.  As much as I love Rush, he sometimes does get a little out there, but he has never changed his basic conservative principles from his early days in Missouri and I respect him.
He doesn't have to say it...they already are...
worshipping him.
It can mean to you whatever!!! It doesn't
mean you have to say it over and over! You're right, it IS a free country, and I will read AND complain about your posts as much as I like, just like YOU are complaining about everyone else!
Because she doesn't seem to believe it's a
