No sale here, either ....
this is the kind of desperate crap we are going to see for the next 11 days!! How pathetic.  It just shows how there is absolutely no integrity in that camp to have to resort to lies, slurs, fingerpointing, sidestepping important issues in an attempt to win.  Talk about showing your true colors!!!
Sorry...no sale!
Just more right-wing propaganda. Not worth the time it takes to read it!
Sorry...no sale.

I don't believe for a minute that this was written by an executive of any company.  Just more right-wing propaganda, but way too late.  The horse has already left the barn!

No sale. Whenever you come up with some
in the course of your "research," we may have something to debate. In the meantime, this sounds like another right-wing fringosphere conspiracy theory to me. Hence, there is nothing worthwhile here to address.
Sorry. No sale.
I do not remember the Clinton administration the way you do, but let's say for the sake of argument he did ALL THAT. Which part of all that "lying, womanizing, lying, deceitful, disrespectful, lying, manupulating" actually ended up killing more than 100,000 troops and Iraqis, torturing numbers we will never know, shredding the constitution, left our economy on the brink of disaster and, for desert, in one fell swoop, decimated our credibility and standing across the globe? I will never apologize for the disdain and contempt I hold for this man and cannot be shamed into once ounce of regret for disrespecting his eminence.

This breaking news just in. Respect is not something that can be demanded or expected. There is only one way to get it and that's the old-fashioned way. It has to be earned.
No sale....(sm)

I don't subscribe to the idea that your life is going to come crashing down around you because 2 guys in California get married.  Since you reject the idea of gay marriage so much, I would assume that you don't associate with any homosexuals.  Well guess what?  If they are allowed to get married, you still don't have to associate with them.  You don't have to see them, talk to them, live around them, or go to their weddings.  So what do you care if they get married, other than wanting to just butt into someone else's life and force your beliefs on everyone else?

I wonder....Do you scrutinize the relationships of your straight friends and tell them what they can and cannot do?

yah - and I have a bridge for sale
Sure, she cares about you and me. And I've got a bridge for sale too. I'll send you my address and you just send me the money order. I hope she doesn't get elected. She has no shame. She thinks if its not working one way, lets get rid of the oponent "permanently". I don't think she's smart. Somewhere someone came up with that lame-brain idea "oh but she's the smartest woman on the planet" pullease. She's not smart, she's manipulative, devious, lying and deceitful. I have read about her life and her career and never found where she looked out for the underprivaleged. It's always been me, me, me, and my rich friends. Why everyone bows down to those two ninny's I have no idea. They are a couple of trailer trash who bought their way into the political scene. Calling Hillary a socialist is a plain and simple fact. Hillary, like Karl Marx envisions the world to be a "utopia" where the "authority" takes the wealth from many and redistributes it according to the whims and principles of a few (yes I just copied that statement from an article I read - and a pretty darn good one that really gets to the truth and I could have not said it any better). And who does she believe should lead this? Herself of course.
Believe me...she is manipulative and will stop at anything to get what she wants (even if it means eliminating your oponent - and I'm not the only one who took her statements that way - half of America and half of the media who used to support and defend her took it that way too). I don't call this energetic, I call it evil. Plain and simple. She and her lobbyist friends and colleagues who are all for putting her in charge need to read the Declaration of Independence, and if they have read it they need to re-read it and follow it. This is just not a document some people wrote up for her to change at her will. This is a roadmap our forefather's drew up for America to follow. Not for Hillary & Bill to change to read how they want to rule.

It is interesting though. These were Bush, Reagan, Ford and Clinton appointees that made this decision (5-3). And I see where the right is upset, but to me it is pivotal that they followed the law and not beliefs and I'll tell you why.

Charles Lane, writer for the Washington Times wrote (see link below), *Brushing aside administration pleas not to second-guess the commander in chief during wartime, a five-justice majority ruled that the commissions, which were outlined by Bush in a military order on Nov. 13, 2001, ***were neither authorized by federal law nor required by military necessity, and ran afoul of the Geneva Conventions.*** As a result, no military commission can try Salim Ahmed Hamdan, the former aide to Osama bin Laden whose case was before the justices, or anyone else, unless the president does one of two things he has resisted doing for more than four years: operate the commissions by the rules of regular military courts-martial, or ask Congress for specific permission to proceed differently.*

Looking at it this way, *Bush* NOT the Supreme Court, has held this up for four years when he could have done the prior one or two things. No president can just willy nilly make up things as he goes without going through the proper channels. This case is no different. Checks and balances is taught in elementary nowadays. I predict as he ways he will, he will get with Congress and they will collectively make a decision on something that will bring the POWs to justice (wishful thinking).

Do I want to see bin Laden's assistant, or any other war criminals walk? No, especially not the perpetrators in the 9-11 attacks. That's something I do not want to see come of this decision, but we must respect our own democracy in seeking justice.

This is just my opinion of what I understand is going on with the decision. If anyone can shed some more light on it I'd appreciate it. Have a good holiday weekend!
I'm not holding my breath......sm
I'll believe Obama gives me a tax cut when it happens, as well as help out with my health insurance. Can't tell from his website how "exactly" that's going to happen. His website if filled with a whole lot of words that are meaningless to me. Sounds good, but I don't see a lot of substance there, just like when he was campaigning.

Not holding my breath, but I'll come back and tell you if either of those things happen.

Not a Republican even though I leaned towards McCain over Obama, since he's such an unknown (and still is), and I actually decided I couldn't vote for McCain either....so my vote went to neither of them.

Who's holding a gun to your head? Don't like him
Simple as pie. Why spend your life being angry and posting these pathetically juvenile insults? Nothing better to do?
yeah, and I've got this land for sale in Florida..
A little naive. of course he is going to try to level the playing field. Perhaps you are the one misunderstanding.
No sale.....sounds like a rush limpball rant

It that garage sale is held every weekend - see message
it's a business. Just like the regular religious gatherings with the congregation. There are different building codes for different business. When you have a business you have to abide by fire codes, etc. If this couple that wants to have their regular business meetings in their home gets a permit then I have no problem with it. I have to have a business license for my MT work, they should have to have a business license for their regular business meetings.

You cannot compare this with someone who once every few years has a yard sale or tupperware party or BBQ.

The people from this article are conducting a business without a permit.
What's holding Edwards back?

to Iran during Iran/Contra to raise money to support the contras in Nicaragua (sp)when Congress refused to fund them. Talk about criminal activity. IRAN I am telling you, Iran! McCain thinks it is OK to keep you and I in the dark and take us from a democracy to a fascist nation for our "own good". Several republican presidents in my lifetime have been guilty of this. We do need fixing. I do not envy anyone who gets elected. I think I would run the other way. It is not going to be easy, but I have hope with Obama and do not trust John McCain.

James Montgomery, Esq. is holding a press

conference. Jesse Jackson, Jr. is "candidate #5" and he thinks Blagojevich should step aside and resign and let the Lt. Gov. take over. He states JJ, Jr. is qualified for the position.

He states JJ, Jr. is not guity of anything. He is not worried about any consequences of this except the media frenzy that is being created by this. If the meeting between the Gov. and JJ, Jr. was taped, they have no concern over it.

He (JJ, Jr.) will be speaking with the investigators on Friday or Monday. He will be holding a press conference in 15-16 minutes.

There is a picture of her in a bathing suit holding

Holding people accountable and blaming

people are 2 different things.  Blaming either party will get us nowhere.  The situation is upon us and the blame game is only holding up the resolution.

Holding people accountable may help to prevent a similar situation in the future.  Holding someone accountable means owning up to their part in the problem and making retribution to fix the problem.  If someone went along with this and gained financially from it, then that person should be accountable - own up and pay up.  If someone went along with this and gained politically, then that person should be accountable - own up and give up (your position).

I took serious offense to your comment because you didn't say it was directed to the politicians on the hill.  You said as a general statement to all dems.

so quit talking and start doing -- what's holding you

It isn't the Navy holding her child support

The federal government has rules concerning how much of someone's paycheck that you can garnish.  I personally was in the Navy (in payroll of all things) and when I went through my divorce, the court ordered a whole $325 a month for 2 kids (both in daycare at $120/week/per kid).  We were both discharged just prior to the divorce and he purposely took a job that paid $6 an hour, working 20 hours a week.  The judge, out of the kindness of his heart, based the child support on him making $6/hr at 40 hours, not the 20 he was working.  He was capable of making more, but wanted to tick me off.  BUT, you cannot garnish more than 60% of ones wages and if back support is owed, not more than 65% with the 5% going to pay off the arreage.

There are certain things that you can take into consideration when they garnish your wages (most states make it mandatory now).  In the military, they cannot include your food ration money, housing money, uniform money and whatever extras they have these days.  They can only include your base salary.  Being that military pay royally sucks, I can see where they are not handing over everything that is owed, especially if he is lower ranking.

I know it bites the big one and I feel for your daughter, being that I have been there, but she can get through it and be stronger for it.  She needs to show her kids that she can hold her head up high and trudge on.  I'll keep her in my prayers.

and preventing you from posting? Or don't you have a cause you care enough about TO post?
That was not the question....Gitmo is a holding area for terrorists...
The Hanoi Hilton housed American soldiers. And yes, I think it is VERY important that a presidential candidate is a patriot, has integrity, strong in the face of unimaginable pressure, and puts his country even before himself. Yes, I think all those are VERY strong criteria for the Presidency. Obama has nothing in his resume to indicate that he is that patriotic, that UNself-serving, showed that he put his fellow prisoners above himself...and you compare that to a terrorist in Gitmo. Good grief. ??
Yep...and today he is holding a town hall in France...
yukking it up with Europe as his own country circles the drain....pittiiiffullll.
Remember Bush holding hands with Prince Abdullah???
So as far as reading anything into Obama trying to get our nation back on the right track, thank God what was here before no longer around.
get off my case
Did it irk you that I asked AG to post here?  Did it get you so upset that you had to repost a previous post?  For pete sake, what is your problem?  You are filled with hate, absolute hate and anger.  You need to chill.  When you disagree with someone, you continue on and on and on and on, never letting up with the other person.  GET OFF MY CASE.  If my posts enrage you as so obviously they do, DO NOT READ THEM.  You are so whacked out that you state I would chain myself to the WH with explosives.  When I read that, I just about coughed up the soda I was drinking I could not believe any sane person would post something like that.  As much as I know you are an angry person, no doubt with rage in your heart, I would NEVER EVER think that of you or post something so evil like that about you.  Now, Im saying good bye to you as its obvious through you posts over time you cannot post to me without attacking me, so skip my posts, delete them and MYOB when it comes to me and my opinions.
I second Kam's why. I also don't believe that that will be the case s/m

If you are looking at the primary turnouts, record numbers are turning out on the Democrat side, and on the Republican side fewer are turning out than did in 2004 and 2000, and if that trend continues it bodes well for whatever Democratic candidate ultimately gets the nomination. Also, should that candidate be Hillary Clinton, what candidate on the Republican side is, for lack of a better word, sweeping the voters off their feet, whether with agenda or personality? McCain? Huckabee? Romney?, which one?

Actually, the only two candidates that I think have the qualities of real zeal and enthusiasm are Barack Obama and Ron Paul.  Ron Paul isn't going to get the nomination, Obama may or may not, and if not, if the Democrat turnouts remain high, and in general the country truly wanting a different direction, they are going to elect a Democrat this time, and if it is Clinton she will be elected, even if she has no more zeal or charisma than Huckabee, McCain or Romney.

That's what I think anyway.

Just in case.
You accused me earlier of being a racist and posting racist posts. I challenged you to find one post I did and you can't find one. You tried to use something I said after you accused me. I also read through all my posts and there are no racist remarks. When I referred to Michelle not talking like a black woman I was referring to your typical stereotyping us because we don't always talk or write the way you think all black people do. You stereotype and assumed I was white because why, I didn't talk like my friends? I'll say it again. Michelle Obama is one classy lady.

You know one thing I was taught growing up is if I'm ever wrong to at least have the decency to say I'm wrong and am sorry, but I guess not everyone is like that.

You are just wrong.
Of course he would do it in that case, anyone would (sm)
They shouldn't have to do elective abortions that are not for the health of the mother unless it is something they believe in. They should not be forced to do it. It is unethical to ask someone to do something they think is wrong. It would be unethical to ask a non-Christian to pray with a patient if they felt it was against their religion, even if the patient asked for it. In these cases, they should have someone else do it, who does not feel it is against their beliefs.

Hardly the case.
Bush escaped that microsope you mentioned in the mainstream media until the kick-off of the 2008 election primaries. There was next to NO scrutiny of his ineptitude prior to that. Talk about getting a free pass. Besides that, there is little to no substance in this witch hunt so far and it is certainly nothing to fear, especially with those lopsided numbers in the House and Senate that have essentialy put the pubs into exile. I'm just starting to kick back and get comfortable and am going to enjoy watching every single last second of it all.
If this were the case...(sm)
then your statment would be relevant.  However, that is not the case.  The pay of the white male is the pay that everyone else strives for.  And why wouldn't a white male be able to sue if treated unfairly?  I'm pretty sure there isn't a law that prevents that.  Everyone else has had to go through that process for years and years.
Well, in that case....(sm)

the only thing that I can suggest is to buff up.  This might help:

then wouldn't the same be true for alcohol?  Most people who drink don't make their own alcohol.  As far as addiction goes, we'll just have to disagree on that one.  There are studies on both sides, and they are a dime a dozen.  However, I have tried it, and as Obama said -- yes I inhaled because that was the point.  Did I form an addiction?  No.  As for new people trying it, well, I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone between the ages of 12 and 65 who could honestly say they haven't already tried it.

My daughter is now 24 -- about the age when they start telling you about things they did as teenagers....LOL.  I don't know if you have kids or what age they might be, but when they get to that age and if they can openly communicate with you, you might be surprised at what you will find out.  No, I'm not saying that your kids would automatically fall into that category, but most do.

Social Security came into being and started paying out at the same time...there was no contributing to it for years before you got to receive payments. Each person's SS payments are funded by the other workers paying into the system. In addition, payments are determined by what you've earned historically and not by what you've paid in.
