It doesn't matter WHERE he was born. He was born to an American citizen so he is sm
a native American.
Obama was born in US, his FATHER was born in Kenya, check it out and sm
Do you really think the campaign would have gotten this far if he was born in Kenya? Did Hannity tell you that? LOL!!!!
natural born does not mean you have to be born physically in the US -
My daughter was born in Germany, but because I am an American she is an American. She has no problems and is considered natural born - that just means you did not have to go through the hoops to become an American citizen.
Yeah and guess what the Bush family has tight ties with the Bin Ladin family....

so give it all a rest would you.

Family values....Obama's family can't even agree

on her experience, her political record, etc, period, no attacking children, and no one throwing stones at "sinner" daughters, that is what I mean, the media wants to put people on pedestals and then throw stones at them at they hunt down not just the public figure, but all their loved ones, I think it is disgusting, it is a HUMAN issue, has nothing to do with politics on either side, why twist my post that way?
Interview with Charmaine Neville, family member of the Neville musical family

September 7, 2005

Women were Being Raped, Babies were Being Killed, Alligators were Eating People, But Where the Hell was the National Guard?
How We Survived the Flood
By CHARMAINE NEVILLE

This is a transcription of an interview Charmaine Neville, of New Orleans's legendary Neville family, gave to local media outlets on Monday, September 5.

I was in my house when everything first started. When the hurricane came, it blew all the left side of my house off, and the water was coming in my house in torrents.

I had my neighbor, an elderly man, and myself, in the house with our dogs and cats, and we were trying to stay out of the water. But the water was coming in too fast. So we ended up having to leave the house.

We left the house and we went up on the roof of a school. I took a crowbar and I burst the door on the roof of the school to help people on the roof.

Later on we found a flat boat, and we went around the neighborhood in a flat boat getting people out of their houses and bringing them to the school.

We found all the food that we could and we cooked and we fed people. But then, things started getting really bad.

By the second day, the people that were there, that we were feeding and everything, we had no more food and no water. We had nothing, and other people were coming in our neighborhood. We were watching the helicopters going across the bridge and airlift other people out, but they would hover over us and tell us Hi! and that would be all. They wouldn't drop us any food or any water, or nothing.

Alligators were eating people. They had all kinds of stuff in the water. They had babies floating in the water.

We had to walk over hundreds of bodies of dead people. People that we tried to save from the hospices, from the hospitals and from the old-folks homes. I tried to get the police to help us, but I realized they were in the same straits we were. We rescued a lot of police officers in the flat boat from the 5th district police station. The guy who was in the boat, he rescued a lot of them and brought them to different places so they could be saved.

We understood that the police couldn't help us, but we couldn't understand why the National Guard and them couldn't help us, because we kept seeing them but they never would stop and help us.

Finally it got to be too much, I just took all of the people that I could. I had two old women in wheelchairs with no legs, that I rowed them from down there in that nightmare to the French Quarters, and I went back and got more people.

There were groups of us, there were about 24 of us, and we kept going back and forth and rescuing whoever we could get and bringing them to the French Quarter because we heard that there were phones in the French Quarter, and that there wasn't any water. And they were right, there were phones, but we couldn't get through to anyone.

I found some police officers. I told them that a lot of us women had been raped down there by guys, not from the neighborhood where we were, they were helping us to save people. But other men, and they came and they started raping women and they started killing, and I don't know who these people were. I'm not gonna tell you I know, because I don't.

But what I want people to understand is that, if we hadn't been left down there like the animals that they were treating us like, all of those things wouldn't have happened. People are trying to say that we stayed in that city because we wanted to be rioting and we wanted to do this and, we didn't have resources to get out, we had no way to leave.

When they gave the evacuation order, if we could've left, we would have left.

There are still thousands and thousands of people trapped in their homes in the downtown area. When we finally did get into the 9th ward, and not just in my neighborhood, but in other neighborhoods in the 9th ward, there were a lot of people still trapped down there... old people, young people, babies, pregnant women. I mean, nobody's helping them.

And I want people to realize that we did not stay in the city so we could steal and loot and commit crimes. A lot of those young men lost their minds because the helicopters would fly over us and they wouldn't stop. We would make SOS on the flashlights, we'd do everything, and it really did come to a point, where these young men were so frustrated that they did start shooting. They weren't trying to hit the helicopters, they figured maybe they weren't seeing. Maybe if they hear this gunfire they will stop then. But that didn't help us. Nothing like that helped us.

Finally, I got to Canal St. with all of my people I had saved from back there.

I don't want them arresting nobody else. I broke the window in an RTA bus. I never learned how to drive a bus in my life. I got in that bus. I loaded all of those people in wheelchairs and in everything else into that bus, and we drove and we drove and we drove and millions of people was trying to get me to help them to get on the bus, too.

I moved to GA from FL
4 years ago, met me a GA boy and now I'm here to stay lol. He took me out one night to a friends house where they were grilling "hamburgers" and "sausage". I had already told him before that I would never eat deer meat, and that it was gross (of course I never had tried it! I'm just picky!) Well after my second hamburger and a piece of sausage, I told his friend that it was awesome and what did he put in it? The answer?

Deer meat.

Been hooked ever since :)

It's great in chili and spaggetti too!
I was actually moved to pity him

Most likely, as McCain said about Obama, he is a "good man, a family man."  I think he has run a campaign that could be described as win at any cost, no matter what lie or deceit has to be used.  The black fellow who stood up and said, "please sir, I'm begging you" right before the little old lady, is anyone so dumb that they didn't recognize that man was planted?  Many, many people can't see past the end of their nose.

I'm voting for LOU DOBBS for president.  Seems he's about the only one these days who tells it like it is and fries both candidates.

Why were there 200 Russians in Iraq. What where they doing and what were they there for? They left before we bombed them. Do not forget. We just did not go over to Iraq and started bombing like Obama did with Pakistan. We gave ample warning to that country; just in time for Iraq to move the weapons.
Link please. It was moved to the top because U thought ...

it important to do so, so please move the link for this to the top too so we may see where the rebuttal '"facts" are verified.  Though, it is obvious that most of this is editorian/rhetoric/whatever you want to call it.

To that end, I am so tired of the he said this, she said that.  They ALL say one thing but mean another.  They and their teams are all spinners.  It is always a mystery because you never know what you are going to get when they get in there, especially since they are not the ones calling all the shots - there is congress too.

Bush staff wanted bomb-detect cash moved

By JOHN SOLOMON, Associated Press WriterFri Aug 11, 5:56 PM ET

While the British terror suspects were hatching their plot, the Bush administration was quietly seeking permission to divert $6 million that was supposed to be spent this year developing new homeland explosives detection technology.

Congressional leaders rejected the idea, the latest in a series of steps by the Homeland Security Department that has left lawmakers and some of the department's own experts questioning the commitment to create better anti-terror technologies.

Homeland Security's research arm, called the Sciences & Technology Directorate, is a rudderless ship without a clear way to get back on course, Republican and Democratic senators on the Appropriations Committee declared recently.

The committee is extremely disappointed with the manner in which S&T is being managed within the Department of Homeland Security, the panel wrote June 29 in a bipartisan report accompanying the agency's 2007 budget.

Rep. Martin Sabo, D-Minn., who joined Republicans to block the administration's recent diversion of explosives detection money, said research and development is crucial to thwarting future attacks and there is bipartisan agreement that Homeland Security has fallen short.

They clearly have been given lots of resources that they haven't been using, Sabo said.

Homeland Security said Friday its research arm has just gotten a new leader, former Navy research chief Rear Adm. Jay Cohen, and there is strong optimism for developing new detection technologies in the future.

I don't have any criticisms of anyone, said Kip Hawley, the assistant secretary for transportation security. I have great hope for the future. There is tremendous intensity on this issue among the senior management of this department to make this area a strength.

Lawmakers and recently retired Homeland Security officials say they are concerned the department's research and development effort is bogged down by bureaucracy, lack of strategic planning and failure to use money wisely.

The department failed to spend $200 million in research and development money from past years, forcing lawmakers to rescind the money this summer.

The administration also was slow to start testing a new liquid explosives detector that the Japanese government provided to the United States earlier this year.

The British plot to blow up as many as 10 American airlines on trans-Atlantic flights was to involve liquid explosives.

Hawley said Homeland Security now is going to test the detector in six American airports. It is very promising technology and we are extremely interested in it to help us operationally in the next several years, he said.

Japan has been using the liquid explosive detectors in its Narita International Airport in Tokyo and demonstrated the technology to U.S. officials at a conference in January, the Japanese Embassy in Washington said.

Homeland Security is spending a total of $732 million this year on various explosives deterrents and has tested several commercial liquid explosive detectors over the past few years but hasn't been satisfied enough with the results to deploy them.

Hawley said current liquid detectors that can scan only individual containers aren't suitable for wide deployment because they would bring security check lines to a crawl.

For more than four years, officials inside Homeland Security also have debated whether to deploy smaller trace explosive detectors — already in most American airports — to foreign airports to help stop any bomb chemicals or devices from making it onto U.S.-destined flights.

A 2002 Homeland report recommended immediate deployment of the trace units to key European airports, highlighting their low cost, $40,000 per unit, and their detection capabilities. The report said one such unit was able, 25 days later, to detect explosives residue inside the airplane where convicted shoe bomber Richard Reid was foiled in his attack in December 2001.

A 2005 report to Congress similarly urged that the trace detectors be used more aggressively, and strongly warned the continuing failure to distribute such detectors to foreign airports may be an invitation to terrorist to ply their trade, using techniques that they have already used on a number of occasions.

Tony Fainberg, who formerly oversaw Homeland Security's explosive and radiation detection research with the national labs, said he strongly urged deployment of the detectors overseas but was rebuffed.

It is not that expensive, said Fainberg, who retired recently. There was no resistance from any country that I was aware of, and yet we didn't deploy it.

Fainberg said research efforts were often frustrated inside Homeland Security by bureaucratic games, a lack of strategic goals and months-long delays in distributing money Congress had already approved.

There has not been a focused and coherent strategic plan for defining what we need ... and then matching the research and development plans to that overall strategy, he said.

Rep. Peter DeFazio (news, bio, voting record) of Oregon, a senior Democrat on the Homeland Security Committee, said he urged the administration three years ago to buy electron scanners, like the ones used at London's airport to detect plastics that might be hidden beneath passenger clothes.

It's been an ongoing frustration about their resistance to purchase off-the-shelf, state-of-the-art equipment that can meet these threats, he said.

The administration's most recent budget request also mystified lawmakers. It asked to take $6 million from Homeland S&T's 2006 budget that was supposed to be used to develop explosives detection technology and instead divert it to cover a budget shortfall in the Federal Protective Service, which provides security around government buildings.

Sens. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., and Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., the top two lawmakers for Senate homeland appropriations, rejected the idea shortly after it arrived late last month, Senate leadership officials said.

Their House counterparts, Reps. Hal Rogers, R-Ky., and Sabo, likewise rejected the request in recent days, Appropriations Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Brost said. Homeland said Friday it won't divert the money.

There's one born every minute.
You seem to have bought the Dem's propaganda hook, line and sinker. What a sucker.

There is none so blind as he who will not see.
You know, not everyone was born in Boston...
and not everyone expresses himself/herself in the way you wish they would. That does NOT diminish their abilities. You still come off as sounding very condescending. I don't live in Boston and I don't have a master's degree, and I know a lot of "Joe six-packs." Who, incidentally, are very fine and not uneducated people. She does have a degree in journalism. She is not uneducated. Obama does not have a depth and breadth of experience, no more than she does. She has executive experience, he doesn't. He doesn't have foreign policy experience; that is why he has Joe Biden and 300 foreign policy advisors. She has balanced the state budget and has had surpluses which she returned to her constituents. She is very honest and open...much more so than Obama OR Biden.

Funny you should mention God...have you looked into black liberation theology?
Born-again believers
can't vote for Obama but they can vote for McCain, an admitted adulterer, proven liar, a man of proven poor judgment (Keeting-5 not to mention Gov Airhead)?  They'll vote for McCain because he "says" he is against abortion?  We know this how?  I for one do not believe in abortion...for myself.  I further believe that is an issue not for the government but between a woman, her doctor and her God.  If she has no God, of course, she is not bound by His laws.
Yes, he war born in Hawaii which in in the US. nm
.
He was born too early ...
If you read through the articles, you'll see that he was actually born before the law went into effect stating that people born in the Panama Canal zone were natural born citizens. Thus, he is not.

I'm sure the RNC felt that it was just a technicality that would never be called out.

I fear if this Obama stuff continues, it will be. And we'll be left with no candidates to vote for.
FYI, even though born in Iran, she is....sm
a natural-born American citizen.
As a born and bred
Chicago baby, I can say you are 100% right!
I was BORN in Europe, So what? What does this have to do
with anything and it is none of your business.

I assume that you are jealous that I am European born, therefore you are literally 'following' me around the forum with your pathetic comments.

Nothing better to do?
Look for another past-time.
I am a born again Christian and believe sm
homosexuality is wrong but THAT IS the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life!
unborn versus born
I do not think they would choose their life over a child that was already born, but I do think many would choose (and do choose) their own life over an unborn child's life. And by life I don't necessarily mean a medical condition. If my daughter were a teenager (she is not quite there yet) and she was pregnant, and she chose abortion, her father and I would certainly support that choice versus her giving up a promising future to raise an unwanted child, especially at such a young age.

I know others would not choose that, but many do everyday. Certainly, I think men and women should choose birth control, abstinence, etc., but birth control fails, mistakes happen, rape happens, incest happens, and I don't feel anyone should have to give birth if they don't want to or aren't prepared for the responsibility of parenting.

Many women chose to give their babies up for adoption, and that is a wonderful choice for them. However, not the best choice for everyone. I want everyone to be able to have that choice.
It does not matter how racism is born...
racism is racism. All whites did not enter into the slavery trade nor discrimination nor condone it, and if it had not been for some fed-up white Republicans like Abe Lincoln slavery would not have been abolished as quickly as it was. And if it had not been for some fed-up white Republicans shoving through the Right to Vote act in the 60's, oppression would certainly be worse still today. So I would be very careful about saying all whites oppressed anyone. And that is what racism is...condemning an entire "race" for perceived injustices or perceived inferiority. To the Nation of Islam, apparently to Obama's church, to Black panthers...there is no good white person. Exactly the way the old south was in reverse. Defend it if you like...it is still virulent racism and should not be condoned for ANY reason.

So, my friend, when you talk about quotas in jobs, quotas in scholarships, being put ahead not because of hard work or actually qualifying for something like a job or a scholarship, please don't whine about how blacks or minorities are oppressed. In today's culture it should strictly be on merit, not on the color of your skin, be that white, black, yellow, red or chartreuse.

And, frankly, your last sentence sounds pretty racist itself.
Where in the announcement does it say he was born in Hawaii...

If you listened to Michael Savage's interview, he actually had the newspaper with the announcement.  It does not state the location of the birth.  It just made an announcement.

Our local newspaper always has announcements for births and many of those births are from other states, etc.  It is just an announcement to let the community know that one of their members had a child, grandchild, etc.

Yes, and he was born in "coal country" and also said
"No coal plants in this country." Now, that's really being behind your beginnings.
He was never a US born American citizen
Let me repeat - Never was an American citizen, never was, never happened, nothing to denounce. He was born a Kenyan, moved to Indonesia and became an Indonesian citzen. What part of that are you not understading. If you were never an American citizen to begin with there is nothing they can take away. CRIPES ALMIGHTY! How many more times do people have to post that. There are NO documents to ever prove he was. You just don't listen.
If they were born on a military base, they
are considered U.S. citizens. Military bases anywhere in the world are considered U.S. soil.
Yeah. They have to be born citizen, not
a naturalized citizen. Which is why "the Governor" will never be the Prez.
You can be born on the moon and as long as you...sm
have one parent who is an American citizen, you are a natural-born American citizen, PERIOD!
they were not born on a military base either
they have dual citizenship.
1963...LOL..that's the year I was born. (sm)
  Checking scalp for 666.
If Obama wasn't born in the US
then he shouldn't be president. Why? Because if we open that precedent, than anyone from any nation can run for president, and seeing as how many people will vote based on what they hear (or think they hear), all it would take would be a charismatic, young, exciting, progressive, man or woman from another country to come in with a hidden agenda and run for president and get voted in and then show us what he or she really had in mind for our country.

As for people who voted without any idea....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P36x8rTb3jI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovcdb6csHBE

On the second one not one person could really name any specifics, just regurgitated whatever they heard on the t.v., internet, speeches, etc. I especially love the one that said "he's beautiful!" I didn't realize that was a point for voting...

You can also listen to the Howard Stern interviews where they listed Mccain's platforms as Obama's and asked people if that is why they were voting for Obama and they all said "yeah! definitely!" I didn't want to paste those because of the language though.

I'm not saying all of his supporters were dimwits, but a lot of them just voted for him because he was new, young, "hip", black, and a smooth talker. Believe me, being a 22-year-old college student, he appealed to me at first too, until I found out the things he stood for.

Yeah but at least he was born in America

As a Born Again, Bible believing sm
Christian, I can see how you would get this opinion of Christians. Some Christians don't present themselves as they should and go to crazy and illegal methods. Let me say that a true Christian who loves Jesus Christ would NOT murder an abortion doctor. No one has that right. The abortion doctor will have to answer for what he has done as will the "so-called" Christian who murdered him. The person who murdered this doctor and those like him are not representative of what a true Christian is and should be.

When I hear stories like this it makes me sad that it has brought such shame upon the name of Christ my Lord. Please do not put us all in the same classification. Not everyone who calls themselves a Christian IS a Christian.

I am a Christian and I love Christ my Lord, but never would anything like this ever enter my mind.

God bless you.
No one is born homosexual or heterosexual
Those are meaningless terms. You're either born male or female. You decide what sex acts you wish to engage in. Some are normal. Some are abnormal. Some are immoral.
People are born gay or straight
I would love to know why straight people spew hatred at being gay. I know why, you believe we are perverts yet you do not consider that our lives parallel with yours. I NEVER think what you do in your bedroom so why should it bother you to the point that you hate gays because of what they do in their bedroom? Perhaps if you stop worrying about the sex life of a gay person, you might see that they are just like you in every way.

I was thinking of naming my first-born "Sally".

If Obama is a natural born citizen,

then why doesn't he provide it to the court, along with his medical and educational background?  I don't think a scan of a birth certificate does it.  Give the evidence to the court.  Factcheck.org has the Annenburg connection, so it is not an objective source.

Does that not bother you that he will not do the right thing?  If he has nothing to hide, why is this buried in the legal system?  Get it over with and provide it to the court.
