There is nothing slick about

wanting to thoroughly check into a situation before giving his answers in his own time to the press. He knows from the campaign how the pubs are foaming at the mouth to try to involve him in the Blagojevich scandal. I doubt Obama is aware of every single incoming and outgoing email, phone call, text message, IM and conversation his transition team members have or have not had in this regard. At the press conference, he was only able to speak for himself. I think it is admirable that he would want to give the press an honest and thorough answer to their question, which he clearly could not do without checking it out first.

There is a difference between being able to "explain away" answers and not being able to defend statements on any level whatsoever, as in the case of Rush Limbaugh. Many of the more ignorant among the fringers are simply not capable of comprehending Obama's rhetoric, and NEED the explanations. It is the more intelligent among the fringers that are trying to be the slick ones by their knee-jerk make-believe interpretations that cast him in the worst light possible. But go ahead and give it your best shot. Prove me wrong. Give me a for instance instead of dancing around this subject all night long.

Relax, you're comparing everybody to Slick Will and Hill.

It's to bad Mccain can't slick talk like O the Lawyer
then he could have really ripped O a new one.

But at least he called him out this time, although I wish he would have pushed a few more issues and really make him answer.

It's funny, all the left wings want us to pull out of Iraq a.s.a.p. but in talking with a lot of military folks I know they say they know why they are over there and they NEED to be there. I think the only ones that are ready to jump ship are the ones who only joined the military for a job and an education. The ones that actually joined because they want to fight for their country support what is going on overseas.

I don't doubt that Obama will win. There are too many people who are going to vote for him because he sounds good, and yes, many people will vote for him because he is black, and others will vote for him because they want daddy government to take care of them. Unfortunately, the majority of the nation can't look past his good looks and fancy speeches to see him for what he is.

After tonight, I think Mccain deserves the presidency. He wasn't my number one choice, but he sure as heck is my choice over Obama.
