PS, NOT ENCOURAGE, FORCE!!

I have many times tried to encourage debate
You are the one spouting numerous hateful adjectives towards me.  I have tried and tried to understand your way of thinking and I can come to only one conclusion.  You are blinded by your politics to the point that you are out for nothing but revenge, but you can take solace in the fact that you are not alone.  You and many, many unhinged extreme left wing people have managed to hijack the mainstream out of the Democratic party.  You are operating under some kind of delusion that everyone hates Bush as much as you all do.  You think because there are a few hundred people in Crawford, Texas getting a lot of media time that you have somehow turned the corner.  Again, another little delusion in your collective minds.  You can spew every hateful word you can think of towards me and people like me, but in the end it does nothing to deter the fact that you are working under a skewed reality.
Right...just like Fox doesn't encourage going after Pelosi,....(sm)
violent revolutions or torture.  Get a grip.  How long has it been now since Hannity offered himself up to be waterboarded for charity and Olbermann has pledged $1000 for every second he lasts?  Funny...haven't heard anything from Hannity since then.....second thoughts maybe?  LOL.
As a parent I do not think I need the government to encourage my child to be productive...

Yes, HOW DARE HE!!!

I encourage all responsible people to ignore this message
This kind of rhetoric is old. Responsible people are well informed. Responsible people read both sides and make their own decisions on what they believe or don't believe. To tell people not to listen or to have someone banned is NOT responsible. It is the exact hate filled rhetoric the left-wingers spew.

If you don't like what she has to say don't listen to her, but this is a complete turnoff telling people what they should or shouldn't listen to. Makes me want to listen all the more. I am tired of division and name calling. That is why I am not a liberal anymore. As for spreading trash...yes, I do see that a lot.
MSNBC doesn't encourage these witch hunts at all. Sheesh
Convention III of the Geneva Convention has to do with treatment of Prisoners of War.

Identifying who is to be classified as a POW is specifically called out in detail in Art 4 of Convention III.

The AL Queda and Taliban rogues, and other ''terrorists'' DO NOT fall under the protections of Convention III, commonly referred to as Common Article III.
So you can't translate this either? All you have to offer is
Please elaborate.
Can I offer you some Kool-Aid?
x
Than offer something constructive...
instead of whining about what you don't like. That's all we hear is whining and complaining without any solutions or suggestion that you feel would be a better way to go. Not only that, are you privy to the same information that President and Obama and his cabinet are privy to? Are you qualified to pass judgment on anything that he does when you don't have all the facts? Would you like some cheese with your whine?
If the information she has to offer upsets you this much...
....perhaps you should debate with the folks on the conservative board who will agree with you and pat you on the back.  Perhaps your anger with gt is not about her, but about you (to paraphrase the mental health folks).
May I be the first to offer resounding bipartisan
x
Every time we offer a suggestion
we get laughed at and told we are asking for handouts.

I still believe that the best way to revive the banks is to go through the homeowners. Isn't bailing out and giving money to the big buisnesses still essentially trickle down economics? It's going to take too long for this stimulus to reach the average citizen. By then too many people will be without a job/home/food, etc.

So you have nothing to offer when it comes to defending Bennett's statements...sm
as you posted earlier that they were taken out of context. When asked to enlighten us on the context, you instead want to take Zauber to task. I know why, because there is no defense for these statements and a sound minded person wouldn't even try. Even the dupes on capitol hill are criticizing the statements.
Yeah, I'll BET you "work with" them. You offer
away from any others that might be out there. I've seen your kind practicing what amounts to terrorism in front of our local Planned Parenthood clinic.

Based on all the propaganda you've been spewing the last week or so, I don't believe one word of what you just wrote about 'helping' women.

You so-called 'pro-life' enthusiasts are just a buncha self-righteous, old-world, Bible-belt hags, nothing more.

But they didn't offer racism and bigotry....
__
In a prior post I made the following offer:

.....no amount of money would induce me to volunteer to be tortured (you know, beaten cut, burned - severe pain or harm).  But cut me a check (certified only, please) with a number followed by a whole lot of zeros and I would be waterboarded (strictly in the interest of science).  Our special forces are trained to withstand this and other 'harsh' interrigation techniques......  It's scary and unpleasant but way different from having your fingernails pulled out or a field generator and alligator clips used.

I had in mind more like $500,000, but yeah, for enough money I would certainly consider that an offer I couldn't refuse.

dr's urge america to accept cuba's offer
Doctors Urge US To Accept Cuba's Offer Of 1586
Disaster-Trained Doctors

By Ken Thomas
Associated Press Writer
9-8-5

ATLANTA (PRNewswire) -- A prominent U.S. medical group
voiced deep concern over delays in health care and
epidemic prevention reaching Katrina victims, and
urged U.S. authorities to accept Cuba's offer of 1586
disaster-trained physicians to prevent a second wave
of sickness and death.

Latest reports indicate the U.S. State Department is
backing away from the offer, implying they are not
needed.

Up to this point, there been a clear need for more
medical help for Katrina victims, said Peter Bourne,
MD, Chairman of MEDICC and former special adviser on
health in the Carter White House and former Assistant
Secretary General at the United Nations. The Cuban
physicians are accustomed to working in difficult
third-world conditions without the resources and
supplies most of us are accustomed to. Since they are
just an hour away, it is a shame that they have not
been allowed to join our committed medical corps
already.

He is joined by other physicians, medical educators,
international health experts and a former U.S. surgeon
general associated with MEDICC, Medical Education
Cooperation with Cuba. From 1998 through 2004, MEDICC
has provided medical electives in Cuba for nearly 1000
students and faculty from 118 U.S. medical, public
health and nursing schools.

Cuba has been recognized by the UN, Oxfam and other
international organizations as a leader in disaster
response, expertise that could be saving lives now,
said Doctor William Keck, former long-time director of
the Akron, Ohio Department of Public Health.

A 2004 Oxfam Report, Weathering the Storm: Lessons in
Risk Reduction from Cuba, states that there are real
lessons to be learned from Cuba on how to safeguard
lives during extreme natural disasters, including
getting medical attention to vulnerable populations.
The report can be found at
http://www.oxfamamerica.org/cuba.

On Tuesday, August 30, Cuba first offered U.S.
authorities hurricane relief in the form of 1100
disaster-trained bilingual physicians, each equipped
with 52-pound pound backpacks of medical supplies,
including rehydration therapy, insulin,
anti-hypertensives, and medications for systemic and
topical infections.

On Saturday, September 3, Cuba increased the offer to
1586 doctors, ready for immediate deployment and
prepared to stay as long as necessary to help wherever
needed. A Cuban spokesperson said that as of today
there has been no official response from the U.S.
government.

Cuban disaster relief experience spans 45 years,
mainly in hurricanes faced by the Caribbean island and
in coping with disasters confronted by other
developing countries. Another nearly 25,000 Cuban
health professionals provide longer-term health care
services in 68 countries, under
government-to-government agreements.

Cuba trains 10,500 medical students from 27 countries
at its Latin American Medical School -- 65 of them
from poor and minority communities in the USA. (See
The New England Journal of Medicine, 2004;
351:2680-82.)

What an irony that the first U.S. MD to graduate from
the school this August is a young African American
from New Orleans, said Diane Appelbaum, RN, NP, MS.
He just passed the U.S. medical boards and is eager
to fulfill the commitment he made in exchange for his
free education from Cuba to serve the very
poverty-stricken areas now devastated.

For additional first-hand reports and interviews from
Cuba, please see MEDICC's on-line journal, MEDICC
Review at

3, 2004 Disaster Management in Cuba: Reducing the
Risk.

MEDICC (Medical Education Cooperation with Cuba) is a
non-profit organization based in Atlanta. MEDICC is
committed to maintaining institutional and educational
links between the U.S. and Cuban medical communities.
MEDICC publishes the English-language journal MEDICC
Review, reporting on Cuba's medical and public health
programs, available at

Remarkable how a child's viewpoint can often offer wisdom
nm
You call that an excuse? There are plenty of churches that offer those things!! nm
x
So we offer substandard wages and attract more people to welfare???...sm
More of your tax dollars are being spent there than at McDonalds or whatever, if we do not get more people working, we also have LESS people paying into the tax system, both federal and state, which subsidises OTHER necessitites. And people complain about the immigrant workers taking jobs? Because of substandard wages and the increased benefit of being on Welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, and Medicaide, it seems only immigrants WANT to do these insultingly low-paying jobs. I am talking about a wage where a family can be together, both parents are not working two jobs, and thus not taking care of the kids, another social problem, and employed taxpayers are also CONSUMERS who drive the economy, but if you are not making a living wage, you cannot participate in the economy. How is this wrong?
Facts are facts - sorry you don't like it cos it doesn't support your candidate
You can't change facts. That's what makes them facts. You may not like it but that's the way it is.

I agree neither choice is great, but will vote McCain just as a vote against Obama. nm
x
A vote for Ron Paul is a wasted vote. No chance on Earth he can win. sm
Votes for him only take away from the real candidates.
Facts are facts. No bash intended.
It will be this stellar record from which voters will be assessing her and her running mate.
If you're offended, too bad. Facts are facts...
I know Muslims in this country who have turned from the hateful evil beliefs that were forced down their throats. They did not have the freedom to learn anything else growing up. But after they gained their freedom and came here, they were able to receive the Word of God and they have told me that NEVER were they taught anything about loving others, just other Muslims, and that the God they learned about spoke of nothing but killing and hate... so if Obama is receiving large donations from those middle eastern countries, as you say, and he is grounded in Muslim culture, being taught this in school for years as a child, do you honestly think he doesn't carry some of those beliefs with him? He's never denounced it.

Here ya go.........

http://bibleprobe.com/muhammad.htm
stating facts folks, just the facts....if it's getting
xx
Folks want facts, you give'm facts and still
xx
Good point. I don't vote party, I vote for the
person.  Every Democrat is not bad and every Republican good or vice versa.
This poster wants facts, facts, facts...
xx
Poster wants facts, facts, facts.....
xx
Then you need to vote for Obama. A vote for McCain will...sm
not help you. Obama wants to give tax relief to 90% of Americans who earn 1% of the gross earnings in this country. The top 1% of earners bring in 90% of earnings. Any one person who earns $250,000 or less will benefit from Obama's tax plan.
they didn't vote - they registered to vote -
that is a big difference. The votes were not counted, they were stopped by the means in which they were supposed to be stopped - ID verification, address verification, etc. The cards were filled out by the ACORN workers and then given to the proper authorities to sort through.

The phony registrations were pulled out by the actual authorities. ACORN is just a middle man.
We get what we vote for. If we vote "party", we get extremes.
If we make it a point to try to identify candidates who hold moderate views and vote for them, rather than voting a "party ticket", we'll have a better chance of getting away from these extremes, whether right or left.

One of the problems, though, is that candidates often play games with their real positions. During the primaries, they talk the "party" line and then they move to the center for the general election. Both sides do this, unfortunately.

The only hope is to look at their past records - and take them seriously. History is prologue to the future. When a man has done certain things in his adult life, it tells us more about him than anything he says. If Obama hasn't taught us this fundamental truth, we'll never learn it. The evidence about him goes all the way back to his days in law school, and it was available for anyone to see. Some didn't bother to look. Others looked and didn't take it seriously. Either way, we weren't paying attention or he'd have probably never made it through the primaries.

No one can pull the wool over your eyes unless you let them, and the way they do it is by making smooth speeches filled with unlikely promises (and even glaring contradictions as they appeal to groups with opposite interests). They believe we won't notice the lies, exaggerations and mischaracterizations of their opponent's positions, etc. Unfortunately, they are often right.

Let's start taking the candidates' prior records and their life histories as the best evidence of who they really are - not their speeches. If we do this, we'll make better choices.
When you can't fight facts for facts
then it's buh-bye....well buh-bye to you too....I'll have a dicussion with someone who will discuss and not blame.
When you can't fight facts for facts then it's buh-bye.

Facts, stick to the facts...sm
The subject here is the media and their treatment of Gov. Palin, which continues to this day, to this minute, by the liberal left.

Tthe media threw down their gauntlet as soon as she was picked on that Friday, and hounded her for almost a full week.

And you think she should have waved a white flag at them in her acceptance speech? She put them on notice, that she is above them. And continues to be, with grace and style.

She's not whining, and neither are we.

I just shake my head at your audacity.

The media is the one that started this with her, and you would do well to remember the facts in her case.

IN this case, the facts are the facts.........
--
You don't have any facts. HELLO???!!!!! NM

You don't have any facts! sm
Are you actually saying you know more than those doing the investigation?   My, you are a powerful person!  Will we be seeing your name soon in the headlines as "she who knows all" heading the investigation?  Share your knowledge!  Inquiring minds want to know!
Oh I'd like to see what facts you have
to back that one up.
My facts came from....
the Summary of Ferderal Individual Income Tax Data and yours came from some self-proclaimed non-partisan watchdog group.  Tell me who I am going to believe?

Facts
Thanks for the FACTS.
Facts
We know for a fact that the person impersonating Stephen Crockett is not actually Stephen Crockett and we know for a FACT that people who have been trolling the conservative board for the past week spouting profanity, vile innuendos also posts on the L-board under different monikers. This person's posts has been turned into the FBI for their implied threats on the president, so this is serious. This is no longer a game, so if you truly are not the one posting under several different monikers on the C-board then you have nothing to worry about. However, somebody here does have something to worry about.

And oh, BTW, I am not Nan, Brunson, or any of the usual suspects you might think.
Some more facts

Above is the web site for IPCC, everything you ever wanted to know which is not much if you are a nonbeliever. They have been around since 1988 and include the World Meteorology Organization among others. It is a worldwide, inclusive organization with contributors from just about everywhere.

I don't know how global warming is seen as a step towards socialism, quite a stretch. All we want is for people to act more responsibly towards the earth we all share. Alternative fuels have been around since pre WWII. We know how to do it. We just don't and again, it's all about money all the time. What is wrong with using alternative sources of energy, it hardly makes one a socialist. If we used natural oils, say corn oil for cars.. the farmers who have suffered financial losses and loss of family farms would be back in business. Somebody would have to grow all that corn. Then it would have to be refined. Then, automobiles would have to be converted to be able to run on oil. All the automobile workers who have been laid off (13,000 Chrysler over the next 3 years - another one bites the dust) could work again. Cars would need to be built differently and the existing cars would need to be converted. Seems like the whole thing would be putting a lot of Americans to work. Whether you believe in global warming or not how could implementing these changes be harmful or turn us all into socialists. Its a good thing.

whose facts? Yours? Or the ones fed to you?

it's your choice......that's for sure....

The Facts
Obama's father was raised Muslim but not a radical Muslim and was NOT a practicing Muslim when he met and married Obama's mother. Obama's parents split, and his mother married an Indonesian oil manager, and they moved to Jakarta, Indonesia. Obama attended various schools in Indonesia for 4 to 5 years, including a Catholic. The only way any school he attended could be called Muslim is that most of the students who attended this school were from Muslim families, as Indonesia is primarily a Muslim country. He received a few hours of religious instruction per week in these schools. Obama's mother then sent him back to the U.S. to live with his grandmother. Obama has been a member of the United Church of Christ since the ྌs. Obama never received any indoctrination from his father, as his father was absent from his life since the age of 2. Obama was sworn into office with a Bible.

Get your information from somewhere else than false, inflammatory mass emails.
What facts do you need? sm
This is the whole article so a link won't do you much better. It was an AP article. The article was not complete rhetoric.

Yes, both sides do have problems. I am not disputing that at all. I'm just trying to prove again that you can't take everything at face value, politicians like to twist things and take snippets out if it is to their benefit. Notice, I said politicians - as in the whole species, not just Dem or Rep.
That's because you don't want facts and won't look for

.

Know your FACTS first
I am not afraid of a black man raised by a white family or a black family or any other family. Interesting post as you do not know my ethnicity but jump with in with your own assumption. What I am afraid of is ANY racism because I do believe in equality.
They are facts
that can be verified.
Facts
Perhaps if you stopped rah-rahing the Republicans and bad-mouthing the Democrats you could see the facts and realize that both parties and all 4 candidates are as crooked as a barrel of snakes. Both sides are to blame for this mess!
