shakeup in the MT community. I don't work for MDI or Transcend, but you better believe I'm following every single post about this, because what's happening to these MTs affects us ALL, both now and in the future. Among other things, it's a good education to read about how this all went down, because it might give the rest of us an idea of the warning signs to watch out for in our own companies. So I am extremely interested in this thread, and what these MTs are saying about it, and how they're dealing with it.

The MDI MT's have my sympathy and my support, and all my best wishes.

I know that there are a lot of you out there who are owed money.  Some of you are owed LOTS of money and Deb just spends it on herself.  You'll likely NEVER get paid, but together you can all make sure she never runs an MTSO again.  But, what needs to happen is ALL MTs screwed out of their paychecks must come together for this to actually happen.  You all can email me at flagfootballcoach@gmail.com and we will pull together and bring down the hammer on this woman.  She has had too many different businesses, taken people for their hard earned money, and needs to be shut down for good. 


MedQuisters, topics from the Company board are being moved to the MedQuist board. MQ posts on

the first page of the Company board will be removed to open up space for other companies to post.  Enjoy the new Medquist board set up for you.

No, they're not losing money....they're gaining!
If a company charges their clients by the line, I'm sure that line rate does not go down even though the MTs pay does.

ASR pays about 2/3 normal line rate to its MTs. Their ultimate goal is to have the MTs do twice as much work. Therefore, the client is getting their work faster, but paying their normal rate, while corporate gets that money and the MTs get the lower line rate.

Whether the newbies want to realize it or not, MTSOs have not increased MTs' salaries in the past 10 years. They still start out at the same pay as the last century!

This used to be a very lucrative profession. Nowadays, most MTs are considered to be paid at the poverty level. You don't believe me, look it up!

In response to the posts about Christmas, I remember the good old days when the Jewish radiologist I worked for took the whole staff out for a big Christmas dinner and gave us all generous bonuses. We in turn gave him and his wife Hanukkah gifts. It's called mutual respect and being big enough to accept and respect each others' differences without taking away anyone's right to celebrate according to their own beliefs.

that was paying 7 cpl for MT and part time supervisor. I don't think so.
I was just on the La. board looking for La. MTs.

I never see any postings from MTs of Louisiana and when I asked a question concerning LA MTs I would never get an answer.  What part of Louisiana are you located.  Do you work as an IC or employee or for a hospital?  I have been trying to get an estimate on what Louisiana MTs are paid as I think the amount that I was told by the hospital was too low.
